Comes with a drink! Wowee what a deal! Call ahead to have it ready immediately, tastes like what I would imagine authentic to taste!

We found Zand’s based on the great Unilocal reviews. This is a small family owned place. Persian rugs and artwork decorate the walls. We shared the Family Platter which is a nice sampling of the beef, chicken and lamb kubideh kabab with rice, salad and appetizer. Perfect size for 3 people for lunch. Everything is homemade.

Today was our second time at this restaurant, but it definitely won’t be our last. The owner is friendly, helpful and ready to answer questions, and his girlfriend is great in the kitchen and quick with service. The dolma are great both warm and cold. We also had a gyro and the lamb platter. Both were excellent. The steamed rice on the platter is perfect for soaking up the extra hot sauce(which you should definitely get), and the tzatziki dressing on the lettuce and red cabbage salad brightens up the meal. Very happy we stopped on our way through town, and we’ll be spending more time there in the future!

Great little place. I love that they have a drive-thru, too. My favorite is the Soltani plate. And ask for extra hot sauce, it’s delicious! Good prices for amount and quality of food you get. And they’re always friendly.

I really wanted to love Zand’s. I really did, so help me. All the great Unilocal reviews, and owners who are so sweet and friendly. And yet… I picked up a lamb kubidea sandwich to go at dinner time and the place was deserted. Not good. The amount of lamb in my sandwich was equivalent to half a hot dog of the hot dog were sliced lengthwise. Lots of shredded iceberg lettuce and a mayo based sauce didn’t help. I wish them well and I hope this was a fluke and I hope other items are better. I doubt I’ll be back as there are other places where $ 9 gets you more satisfaction. You should take a close look at how many reviews here have been filtered, and then compare them to your own experience. Really quite fascinating.

So very, very, very good! Reminds me of my trips to the Middle East. This is the most authentic I have found outside of a large city. The atmosphere is simple and plain — which I love! You can tell they aren’t trying to sell you on the authenticity because you can just see it! The food speaks for itself. I’ve visited Zand’s multiple times and ordered different meals(lamb steak kebob is my favorite!)…never disappointed! I also love that the owner comes out and talks with his guests — allows for the full experience. I’ve even brought my in-laws when they were in town. They are world travelers and wouldn’t stop raving about how delicious Zand’s was.

This place is so under rated! It’s locally owned and ran. Their dolma is delicious and so is there lamb plate!

Came to Zand’s for the first time, and I really enjoyed it! I ordered the chicken shish plate and the chicken was flavorful and tender. It came under a bed of jasmine rice with salad on the side, and a very tasty garlic sauce. The only downfall is that I wasn’t stuffed when I left, and there was strangely no music — which made for a weird silence. Overall, the waiter was cheerful and the food was exquisite!

Very good service, friendly staff(husband and wife?), ordered lamb kebabs at lunch and loved them. I was told Ali ground lamb fresh daily for the kebabs. I live in Austin but am in Bryan often and will be back!

First time here and I’m definitely coming back when I’m in the area. Super friendly owners, the place was clean and the food that I ordered was excellent! I had the Soltani, which came with salad, rice, beef steak, ground lamb kubideh(which they grind fresh daily! Yummy!) The lady asked me how I wanted my beef cooked which the cooks got perfect! Everything was freshly made and delicious, the price was on point and the serving was plentiful. The spicy sauce was just perfect. I also ordered their Baklava and it was delicious! Can’t wait to be back and try more items on the menu. I was told they were supposed to open a restaurant where I live– I hope they do because I’ll definitely be a regular!

I really love this kebab place. It’s such a great option when we want a quick lunch. Pros: + Quick service + not super expensive + lunch special — get an extra kebab if you dine in + hot sauce is the best!!! You actually get a spicy taste and flavour. Definitely an amazing marinade Cons: — Small restaurant — a little difficult to access/park/get out

How fun! We were hungry and looking for good food open late. This tiny little store front packed a huge family punch! We were instantly and warmly greeted and menus were brought. We had a vegan in the group, who was immaculately and concernedly cared for with promises of separate food prep, and a veggie/vegan menu section with traditional and loved dishes that had been edited for the non-carnivores. The woman who took our orders raved about her husbands cooking and made many suggestions for us, and the chef himself came out to check on us many times. They were out of 2 menu items, and he felt so deeply sorry about it he kept apologizing, although we didn’t feel slighted in the least. I had a Gyro platter, the stuffed grape leaf app, and baklava with a lovely small glass of hot tea. My non-vegan friend had a kabob platter which was a kabob over rice — delicious and well seasoned, but a very simple dish as is consistent with Persian cuisine. I highly recommend stopping by for their affordable and delicious food!

I’ve been to this restaurant twice and both times the service was amazing! Its a small family business that provides a nice at home feeling. I’d recommend the kebabs. They have really great gyro and salmon kebabs. The bread here is very cheap and delicious. We ordered dolma and hummus as an appetizer and both were really well done. The hummus is a little bland but it is very refreshing This place is definitely one of my favorite places in college station.

YES! I’m so happy that I found this little gem! I LOVE kebabs, and have had to good fortune to eat many of them in several different countries. Though Zands kebabs aren’t the best I’ve ever had, they’re pretty darn good! I recently ate at Shiraz Shish Kebab, and I was bitterly disappointed. So I’m so happy to have found Zands. Though the décor is pretty bland, the server was a super friendly chap, and the gyro was delicious :)

Randomly saw the sign for this restaurant on our way home. My husband and I decided to try it. I got the mixed platter, which had a side salad, lamb, chicken, rice, and roasted tomatoes. My husband got two gyros, one with garlic sauce and one with tzatziki. We also got warm dolma and hummus with pita. The meats were delicious. The chicken was well cooked and flavorful and the lamb was delicious. The dolma was great with lots of flavor and a creamy texture. The hummus had a great texture as well. The gyros were delicious. I even ate some of my husband’s. He preferred the garlic sauce over the tzatziki. I didn’t really taste the garlic sauce one, so I can’t say how I felt about that. The restaurant itself is super tiny and quaint, but clean and nice. We plan to try more of the menu, and I’ll update my review accordingly.

Recent conversation exploded with friends of my 5 star always reviews of this place. All reviews are true. See photos which actually now show history. This restaurant is a rare gem in Aggieland. I am the FTR. The Kebabs we have been picking up are killer to begin with but I am sure they are experimenting with the sauce where it is changing. Awesome and I am a follower! Easy Menu, Unique Special food. One of Aggieland’s Finest and I do actually know as I have eaten at all.

Great restaurant! To begin with, the waitress, Marie, was great. She was very kind, as well as knowledgeable on the menu items. I knew we were in for a treat when she said something about walnut and pomegranate soup(fesenjoon), a traditional Persian soup. It was sooooo good! My fiancé ordered the ghorneh sabzi, an herb soup with kidney beans and lime. Also incredibly good, though a slightly acidic and vegetable taste(keep to the fesenjoon if you like a sweeter dish or want to play it safe). Definitely get with the rice for either; it helps make an otherwise thick soup easier to eat. Ali, the owner, made us feel right at home. He even comped us a veggie sampler(a succulent dish served with garlic and hot sauce)! Will definitely come back!!! Know that the harder the food is to pronounce, the more Iranian and potentially very different tasting the food will be. Don’t bash Zand’s because you don’t have a cultural palate!

Just had to add my positive review of this place! Super flavorful meat(we got the lamb), the garlic sauce was amazing(kinda«meh» on the chili sauce, personally, but it wasn’t bad), lots of rice and a good little side salad, and overall not too bad of a price for all the food we received. We did take out, so I can’t speak for the dine-in experience, but the lady at the register was really sweet and the place looked clean and neat, if a little bland on the décor(if you’re more worried about ambiance than the taste of the food). Plus, they included a free sample of their gyro, which was really nice of them and tasted phenomenal, by the way! I think we might have found our new favorite Persian food place in BCS!

I was impressed. Though the atmosphere of the restaurant inside is pretty plain, the important part — the food — was not. I was greeted with a friendly service the moment I walked in and the ground lamb wrap was suggested in response to my request for a recommendation. Since I came between the hours of 1 and 2, I received an extra portion of meat as part of the lunch special. I actually thought it would be too much for me to eat but the deliciousness won out over my self-restraint. I requested the spicy sauce, which was not too spicy, and all the flavors worked together wonderfully. I will be back.
