The Tracy Castle

Me and my wife had our wedding in this venue this summer and it was beautiful. We were soo worried alot as we saw some bad reviews about Tracy Castle previously, eventually this place did not disappointed us at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
As a note, it is like a family-​owned castle, so there are people living in there.

I just recently had my wedding at this place (August 2015) and to be honest, a few of the reviews i have read in the past about the castle scared my bride and I. However, the castle and Bart himself were extremely accommodating for our wedding and were very helpful the day of the wedding. A few things i loved about the castle that we were unable to find at any other venue…1) we were able to have any of our own catering/​hired help, 2) the castle was in AMAZING shape and cleanliness the day of the wedding, 3) we were able to have indoor or outdoor depending on the weather the day of our wedding at no additional costs, 4) no limit on guest count, 5) we were able to start getting ready there at 9am and had the castle until midnight. Our pictures turned out incredible having the castle in the background, and i was able to give my now wife the «princess in a castle» wedding she always wanted.
Additionally, even though we had the ceremony and reception outside, our guests were able to roam in and out of the castle and take pictures, making our venue HUGE and never seem crowded.
Unfortunately, their was a state wide burn ban so we were unable to do the firework show that we paid for… i was thinking we were out of the money, Bart simply said no big deal, and returned ALL the cash that we paid him to go towards the firework show.
This venue has had its up and downs with staff in the past and i think the hired individuals they have now and Bart himself have finally turned this venue around as i couldn’t have imagined another venue enabling us to do everything we did their, especially for the price.
I will admit, the castle itself was amazing, but we did not utilize their catering company as we cut that part out due to our budget, but we did try the food before deciding not to and it was delicious, however, for a large wedding, it was just not in the cards for us.

I’ve referred lots of people/​friends/​customers to check out Tracy Castle for a potential place to have a wedding. Been recommending them ever since I got married at The Tracy Castle in 2006! A friend recently told me about some reviews they had read about the Tracy Castle. And that there were some not so nice things to say on these reviews. I was shocked and had to see these reviews for myself. And to my surprise I found out there are some people saying the opposite of what my wife and I had experienced at the Castle. We loved having our wedding there and would recommend it to anyone. My family and friends still talk about that day at the castle.
I don’t always post reviews, but when I saw these bad reviews it made me mad inside. Who are these people? Ex employees that used to work at the castle who maybe upset about something? I just find it hard to believe what these people are saying about the castle is true.
With any business there can sometimes be some speed bumps along the way. I would kinda expect that with anyone I give business to. But we had nothing bad to say about our wedding day and everything leading up to that day. It was so amazing! And Bart was the best!
I noticed some of the reviews I read here had a lot of very detailed information and complaints. And those people didn’t even have their wedding at the castle! WHAT?! How can someone know so much detailed info about the place and was only there for the walk through? I smell ex employee in this case. Can’t prove it, but shame on anyone that is and would try and sabotage the castle.
As for the person who said the bed was so out dated. REALLY?! I wouldn’t have noticed because my day was all about my wife and the newly beginning of our marriage. So I’m sorry if I couldn’t tell you what I thought of the room and of the bed as much because I was focused on my wife and she was very happy. But what I do know is I would love to book a time to go back to the castle to spend a night with my wife
Because all we had were good memories at the castle.
I’m a real customer of Bart and the Tracy Castle. I would be very happy to talk with anyone if they want more information on my wonderful experience.
Oh and for the person who was upset that the castle was not really a castle! Really? What do you expect? A castle like in the movie Frozen? This place is a huge mansion, felt like a millionaires house. Who wouldn’t want to be in or let alone get married in a nice big fancy place like that? It made us and all of our guests feel privileged to be invited to such a beautiful place. Very fancy and very fun! You don’t need to be married in a real castle to be treated like king & Queen. Because my wife and I felt like we were king and queen on our special day! And we all owe it to the people/​staff and Bart who made it that way for us. Thank you!!!

We had a lovely time at a wedding at this venue.
The food was very good, except, I am allergic to scallops. It would be nice for them to let you know what you are eating.
They had some challenges with the only bathroom on the main floor plugging up.
Once they figure out how to make the plumbing reliable, and let people know what they are eating, the location is wonderful, and the staff were nice and helpful. The wedding was memorable and spectacular.

We got married here on Sept. 22 2007. If there is anyone looking for a place to get married this is it. Best place by far. So so perfect. Great venue. They take care of everything. You show up and tell them what kind of cake, flowers, color, etc. They take of it. No worries what so ever. Talk about a very relaxed engagement time. We didn’t have to go store to store looking for the best deals finding the perfect stuff. They did it. The staff there is so friendly and work so hard for you, you can’t even imagine. They even did our walk through dinner also. Guys you have to let your lady look at this place. This is the only place she’ll want. She gets her Cinderella wedding that she has been dreaming of since she was a child. Horse drawn carriage. Enough said right there. Go and check this place out you have too. Oh and another important thing their wedding photos are awesome and food is soooo good. Trust me. This is the one and only place to go to get married. And the price you pay is the service you deserve.
