What’s not to love about a wine and cookie pairing? Also, you can sit outside and do your tasting while overlooking the ostrich farm! I loved all of the wines and cookies; however, the manchego walnut cookie was my least favorite, because I’m not really into savory cookies. I also wish they gave 2 chocolate cookies for the last 2 reds instead of making you split 1 cookie with 2 different wines. These are just very minor complaints that didn’t stop me from having an awesome experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Super friendly service, delicious wine and yummy cookies! I really enjoyed the champagne which was the first drink in the flight. The cookies were tasty but tiny.

Wine pairing with artisan cookies… What a cool concept! Thank you Ada J for sharing this place on Unilocal.I was driving through Solvang so I stopped by this winery on a Saturday afternoon. The man who worked there was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and cookies. $ 15 for 5 pours of wines and 5 delicious cookies that paired very well. It was very nicely presented. If you’re into Pinots, they have good wines here. Personally, I like the sweeter wines which they did not have. That’s why I couldn’t give them 5 stars. The tasting room was bright and cheery inside. Plenty of parking and it’s located on the 246 highway.

Super cute wine bar off the beaten path. They have a beautiful patio that’s shaded. The tasting room is super cute inside. Very open and bright. We got a tasting flight of wines and added then gourmet cookies. The girl behind the counter explained that they make the cookies In-house and were contemplating selling them. I hope they do because they were delicious. The cookies paired so well with the wines too! They really know what they are doing here. My favorite of the pairing was the Chardonnay with the apricot cookie. All of the wines were pretty good though. Also, a winery that offers a Unilocal deal? I am so there! Lol check this place out!

Tried the cookie wine pairing which was good but separately the cookies were amazing and the wine was mediocre. THe staff was horrible and unfriendly. Definitely came here to learn and experience good wine and definitely did not get that at all.

The cookie and wine pairing definitely caught our attention and drove us in here. It was fun and the cookies were a nice touch but not quite what we were expecting. They are each about the size of a quarter and really didn’t create much of a tasting experience. We had fun but not worth going back to. The lady who served us was really nice and gave us some good tips on wineries in and around Solvang/Los Olivos.

Wines were good, and the staff was super knowledgeable. I really had a great time, and didn’t try any of the desserts. I liked how they did not try to pressure me into spending more money. That said, I didn’t purchase any wine as it was my first stop, and I want sure what wines I would taste that day.

We came for the wine-cookie pairing, which was a tasty way to explore the interaction between wine and food. Great service in the tasting room. Interesting variety of wines. Nothing stood out in particular, but there were a lot of solid, well-made wines.

4.75 total stars. 5 stars for the staff! 5 stars for the savory cookies!(Whoever thought up & acted on a manchego/walnut cookie to pair with Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir deserves a raise!) 5 stars for the tasting room! 4 stars for the wine. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience today. I’m confident we’ll return(if only to somehow get them to reveal their cookie recipes)

Loring has a small tasting room just past the Hitching Post II in Buellton. They have a lot of premium Pinot Noir wines for around $ 50 from different vineyards to sample. My favorites were the 2013 Loring Cargasacchi Vineyard Pinot Noir and the 2013 Loring Keefer Ranch Vineyard Pinot Noir. Very good service. Not very busy.

Very nice winery with several wines to try. The house specializes in Pinot Noir but makes a very nice Chardonnay. Price for tasting is either 10 or 13 which gets you the reserve. Pair with cookies is an additional 5.00. This wine is made for food so try it with cookies. They have a Unilocal special so make sure to check in.

Stopped at the Loring Wine Company with some friends on the way down south from Big Sur. My boss said this was a must stop and I’m really glad we did. Brittney and Madison were friendly, fun and full of information. The Clos Pepe and Chardonnay were my two favorite wines! The tasting room is cute and clean with a lovely patio. Definitely pleasant and worth the stop. Thanks for ever ladies!

Stopped here on a whim while heading to Morrow Bay for a wedding. Madison helped us out and was amazing! The wines speak for themselves. We bought the Grenache and Mourvèdre. A must stop if your in the area!

Amazing staff and great wines. One of the best experiences I’ve had at a tasting room. Very easy to access, right off HWY246. A lot of wines to choose from, you will definitely find a wine you like here! Loring buys grapes from some of the best vineyards and you can really taste the quality in the wines. They also waive the tasting fee with a purchase. Definitely worth a stop.

Angela was fantastic! We tried the Loring flight and it was excellent. For anyone passing through who doesn’t have time to experiment, get the mourvèdre blends or straight, both are delicious. This place was even better than Shoestring(which was good) so if you’re in the area definitely make it part of your trip!

What a lovely wine tasting room. Not only do LWC has excellent pinots, but they have a nice place to enjoy it. There is an indoor and outdoor area. The bubbles and chardonnays were set up outside, which was perfect on a summer day to hang out and enjoy the weather. They also had a food truck that day called the Pairing Knife, which had fantastic pork belly tacos and sliders that went well with the pinot. LWC is located right next to Hutching Post, another great establishment for bbq!

5-stars for the wine. I particularly like the single vinyard Pinots(Rosella’s, Gary’s, Clos Pepe and Durrell are my favorites). I’ll say this now, these are more new world Pinots as opposed to old world Pinots, so you may have a different opinion. My two absolute favorites are a blend named Divergence and the Russell Family Vineyard Mouvedre. Yes Mouvedre! I know, it’s more commonly a blending wine but Brian makes an awesome Mouvedre! The Grenache and the single vinyard Chardonnays are good too. Price for most wine is in the $ 40-$ 50 range(the Divergence is more expensive), but LWC also offers some AWA Pinots and Chardonnays at a lower price point. They are also offering two sparkling wines now. Both are very good. The tasting room is next door to The Hitching Post II, so it’s easy to find. I’ve tasted here several times(we’re wine club members) and I have always had wonderful service here.
