This was our favorite spot. Currently closed and is the Knott’s Chicken To Go location. We are hoping it’s a temporary closure while renovations are done at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant in the Marketplace. We will be very sad if we find out it is a permanent closure. The sandwiches and soups were always stellar!

the sandwich i had sucked. the prime rib is super dry and has no flavor. i will return again and just simply get a grilled cheese. there are very few spots to eat and the people who work there clean them VERY poorly. i asked for my table to be clean and she wiped down the table with one swipe and not even clean the chairs with crumbs and there were still ketchup spots on the table. i don’t like to nag and poke at employees and tell them you missed a spot so i cleaned it thoroughly myself. only because they are serving you your food… you never know what kind of special sauce they will add! lol

Food is pretty good, the pastrami sandwhich and grilled cheese are good, but the burger is sub par and plain. Even the most basic orders(the macaroni and cheese and the burger) took 25+ minutes and the service is bad. Good food, HORRIBLE service.

Stopped after a day at Knotts. It’s pretty good. The menu has some diverse sandwiches. The Mac and Cheese was very rich, but amazing! My wife and I split a berry gobbler sandwich. With our pass, they gave 25% off. We will definitely be back!

I love this place so much my husband makes fun of me because I am always trying to go here… even when we aren’t going to Knott’s! The turkey with Boysenberry is my favorite, so delicious and huge… I share with my son. We also like the roast beef dip and would like to try all of the sandwiches but I can’t seem to get past the turkey with Boysenberry!

Completely inept cashier took the orders and could not change one order without making excuses. Swapped Mac and Cheese with a chicken strip meal WITHOUT changing the price. It was a difference of a $ 14 meal versus $ 8. They could not even compensate by providing chips for the fourth meal. This is not a review of the actual restaurant. The food is excellent. It’s a review of the incompetence, dismissiveness, and naïveté of the employee, specifically the cashier on 10/10/2015.

I really like this place. Not badly priced and always give you one heck of a sandwich. Never a disappointment. Always great soup. The only complaint I have is that they put it in a cardboard bowl. It always soaks through. I don’t get that one. My daughter and I shared a Mac and Cheese sandwich. I was surprised that is was rather tasty but it wasn’t for me. Way too heavy for me that made me feel nauseous. I am looking forward on tasting their bacon and tomato salad and The Farmers Salad Sandwich. That’s more down my alley. Overall I highly recommend this place. It’s well worth it and a lot better than the places inside the park.

Apparently Pink’s used to be here, but this place opened last fall. Definitely agree this is probably the best lunch spot within the park grounds. Ordered the grilled mac n cheese for my kids and that was good. The Turkey Berry sandwich is good, wish it was a little warm, but added the hot sauce and it was perfect. The onion rings are good and you can see them making it fresh, they are not frozen. Would definitely go back and was empty when we went.

I was actually really impressed with the food here. This used to be Pinks and recently changed to Cable Car Kitchen. Today was my first time trying it with the family and am happy we tried it. Place inside was empty and slow. Service was okay. Nothing spectacular. The décor was very plain. Not much on the tables or walls. We ended up sitting outside in shade because it was a lot cooler than inside. Looking at prices I was already thinking they are way too pricey before getting our food. The sandwiches are about 8 – 11 dollars depending what you choose. That doesn’t include combo. If you want a drink and fries it’s $ 5.99 extra for medium and no refills on drinks. You can use your season pass which helps a lot! The food came out quickly and the sandwiches were huge. I do have to say at that point you see your food you do get what you pay for. My girls got a grilled cheese which was also really big. They both liked it. I got a meatball sandwich and those meatballs were gigantic. I loved the bread on the sandwich and the amount of cheese. The sauce could have used some flavor it was a little watery. My hubby and mom got the turkey boysenberry which said was good but needed more sauce. My dad got the rueben sandwich and he kept talking and but how much he liked it. All sandwiches were big so it doesn’t matter which one you choose. The fries were string fries and they were okay. My only compliant was they served us bad Sprite and when we took it back they said they already knew. So we asked why they gave it to us… but responded with its good now. They gave us another Sprite and it was still back so we had to choose something different. We do plan to come back since the food was filling and good!

Boysenberry mayonnaise, enough said right? I had the Turkey Berry sandwich with extra boysenberry mayo for the full effect. This sandwich was full of so many flavors and tasted super fresh. Portions are huge so I suggest sharing. Would definitely SPLIT a sandwich again!

Great sandwiches! Been here a few times. So sad that they don’t offer the sidewinder fries anymore. Those were deliciously special fries. Now they only sell those regular skinny fries. Definitely not as tasty as the Sidewinder fries. I certainly hope they would bring it back.

Best bang for your buck at Knotts. Lots of food and it’s good. A la carte sandwiches run about 8 bucks and much better than burger inside park. Had the Mac and cheese sandwich and it was big enough to share. Also ordered the 49er which is prime rib, not bad!

A relatively inexpensive café with excellent food made fresh in front of your view. For theme park food it was A surprise & is just outside a major theme park. Uncrowded!!!

The Sandwiches are very good and worth every dollar spent! At first we walked in on our way out expecting pinks but when we noticed the place was empty and the menu was different we almost walked out. The workers and chef were so polite we decided to give it a try. We were very impressed of the quality and taste of the grand ave and decided to take a gobbler to go it was delicious!!! I would highly recommend and will go back. Knotts berry farm should give them more promotion. People might be afraid to spend the money. If they got some coupon so they can taste it. They definitely wouldnt hesitate coming back again and again. Its so worth it!!!

What once was Pinks, what once was many things is now a Cable Car Kitchen that’s full of delicious goodies! They have a pretty straightforward menu it’s all about the Sandwiches! With a few choices sounding good I had a hard time deciding but what really caught my eye was The Berry Gobbler and the fact that it has Boysenberry Mayo. Me loving OC’s indigenous man made Boysenberry this was a definite yes to getting The Berry Gobbler it had a good amount of turkey on it and all of the toppings went really well with that delicious Boysenberry mayo that was served on a almost roll type of bread with rosemary sprinkled on top. This being Knotts you know all the food is going to be a bit pricy but what I ordered and what I got was actually not that bad of a value especially when it was applied with the season pass discount. This is a great new place for Knotts and definitely one of the better establishments to grab food at I definitely will be back here on a future Knotts visit! Oh and don’t forget to order a Boysenberry Punch for your drink its sooooo delicious and unique to the farm and just ohhhh sooo good!

Tried this place out and got the Cable Car which is a grilled Mac and cheese. It was huge! Seriously, so big. Took half of it home. The people working were very friendly and I think this place should do much better than Pink’s. The inside was clean and I was informed they had a kids menu even though the sign wasn’t up yet. I would do this place again and maybe try something else. Prices were a little high I thought but the size made up for it.

The Cable Car Kitchen is a new deli style diner just outside of Knott’s Berry Farm where the former Pinks hot dogs was located. I received news of their opening from Facebook and Twitter and thought I’d try it out. After a few hours of rides at Knott’s it was time for lunch and we headed over to the restaurant. First impression was that there really isn’t much to look at. No décor except for the large menu off to the side. OK, They’ve only been open a week and maybe that’s on the to-do list. Knott’s had a real cable car and a few old framed pictures of it would be cool and appropriate. We were greeted by the young lady at the counter and the other members were friendly as well. Combos were around $ 14⁄15 and sandwiches alone are about $ 8⁄9. Prices you would expect at an amusement park but they do offer Annual Pass holder discounts. We decided on The Cable Car and Goldie’s Gobbler. The Cable Car is a huge grilled mac & cheese sandwich with garlic parmesan spread on toasted cheese bread. I love cheese but this was even too much for me. One annoying thing was that they placed it on thin tissue-like paper in a basket instead of a plate. Now all the grease and oil saturated the paper and when I used a knife to cut the large sandwich, small paper bits ripped and stuck to the food. Goldie’s Gobbler is an open faced sandwich with turkey and gravy on top of cheese bread. It was OK but the gravy had way too much salt in it. They have mustard, spicy mustard, ketchup, Tapatio, but no barbecue sauce. There are other sandwiches I’d like to try since some offer boysenberry mayo which sounds interesting. However, I’m going to wait awhile til they get established.

With Pink’s(thankfully — no offense, but the Buena Park Pink’s was an overpriced ‘blah’ hot dog stand that brought shame to the legendary original one near Hollywood) gone, Knott’s added a new counter service deli in it’s same Pink’s former Marketplace location. I must say when I first saw the price, $ 14.99, for the Wrangler sandwich combo, I thought it was a bit high for a pastrami sandwich, kettle chips and a drink. I am honestly admit I was gratefully wrong based on the amount of sliced pastrami that was loaded onto the sandwich. The sandwich was great too; simple, but right with a nice spicy brown mustard. I left feeling full and I got my monies worth. I am already thinking about going back to try Cable Car’s Open Claim open face meatball sandwich on the next visit. Other quick notes: The simplicity of the dining area, while small, was nice. Sometimes too much flair is distracting and takes away from the food. Also the service crew I met on Wednesday was extra friendly and reminded me of a classic Disney service quality. As to why I could not give this place a five, I would say I would have liked to go to 4.50 if possible. The only downside, which is really a compliment to the new Cable Car team here, is as good as the sandwich was, it was not as good as the ones they make at Langer’s in Los Angeles. But I still enjoyed the Wrangler enough to be planning a second visit to the Cable Car Kitchen in the near future.
