Fatburger

First of all, this is an extremely old building. Watch you step walking in. For some reason there is about a 5 inch gap between the blue curb for the handicapped parking stop and the sidewalk with grass growing between. I didn’t notice it and twisted my ankle.
The floors were not clean and the whole place could really use an overall deep cleaning.
Service wasn’t great. Not horrible but not good by any means of the word. Two women that barely spoke to me, the customer but jabbered away with each other in Spanish.
I ordered a medium fatburger with fat fries and a small drink. Over $ 12 was my damage. This was my second time trying Fatburger– the first was in Rancho Cucamonga and I had a horrible experience. Refer to past reviews.
The burger was not great. I asked for thousand island and it ended up being very vinegar-​y. Way too much relish. The fries were ok. Regular steak fries with no seasoning whatsoever.

Always delicious! Regularly hit up their Fat Tuesday deal, well worth it not to mention and awesome jukebox!!!

Price rating is off, it should be More in the range of $$$. Combos are expensive. Came here after going to knots berry farm, thinking we would save some money, and spent 56 bucks for a family of six. Might I add we didn’t even order for the six year old, As we all share with her, she eats like a bird. I might as well have gone to Olive Garden, I would have only spent about ten dollars more there.

A great burger joint, has franchise locations throughout the world, even in Middle East.
I like the classic old fashion theme inside the restaurants, and the cd jukebox they have where you can pay to hear a song of your choosing.
Okay, the food: the burgers are well made, flavorful and juicy and they are definitely better than McDonald’s, and to me even better than in&out’s.
Fatburger however is not better than GBurger or than The Habbit.
If you like French fries, order some fat fries.
They get a –4 stars because the bread buns are generic and not made and the dipping sauces suck.
The ranch sauce for the fries at Fatburger gets to top place as the worst ranch sauce I tried yet, thus shaving away a few points from the restaurant’s score.
That being said I would come here again, and I recommend it to others.

The food is always good. With this being one of the only fat burgers near by I just wish they would keep it a cleaner. Could use a freshening up.

Solid cook to order burger, with yummy toppings available. Wife always gets the turkeyburger with egg on top. Satisfying. Very flavorful food, and pleasant staff. Place could use a little help in the cleanliness department, and the price is a tad high, but overall it is worth it.

The only reason we stopped in here was for the chili on the burger, we order, and $ 31.00 later, they are out of chili and I sit down to an absolutely filthy restaurant. Absolutely disgusting. I’m only here for my guy. I haven’t even eaten a bite yet but the experience here is horrible. I do remember the cashier saying this was a franchise and not a corporate location. I am not in any hurry to revisit. Too many health code violations to count!
Oh wait, make that $ 32.20 for our meal as they charged an extra $ 1.20 for 2 BBQ sauces that are NOT included in the chicken strip order!!! And they messed up our burger order as it was made without mustard when it was requested. Really infuriating.
Despite the unappetizing dining area, the crispy chicken sandwich I selected was pretty good. Their onion rings were good, too. I’m sure I can enjoy both those items at any decent diner with a cleaner dining room though for half the cost!

I LOVE Fatburger restaurants! I think they are in the top 3 burger joints in the U.S. for sure. Better than 5 Guys but not as good as In-​N-​Out. But comparing Fatburgers to In-​N-​Out is not fair. Because they are two different types.
In-​N-​Out is a clean cut not all that fattening California style burger.
But Fatburger is the all FAT and I don’t care California style burger.
So if you are in the mood for an all out fattening, dripping fat burger. FATBURGER is the place!!!
Also, La Palma location is not that clean. The Manager needs to clean the place up and whoever owns it needs to take some pride and put on a coat of paint. The staff is nice and the food is great. But the facility is horrible!!! I’m only giving this place a 4 star because it is a Fatburger, the location sucks!

This is the only Fatburger I know left near me unless maybe LA? But definitely the closest one to me. I came through because after years and years of wanting to just try a fatburger I decided finally it was time.
I came through and the place was not what I expected at all. I thought I was gonna be blown away but I wasn’t. It just seemed like a regular old burger joint to me, but then again its a fast food joint. I picked up their fatburger medium took one bite it thought hey this is pretty good actually. I still don’t think its better than some of its competitors but its not bad at all. The patty was decently juicy, the bun was pretty good and the fries weren’t bad.
The décor is decent too. They have a XXXL burger challenge so you see all the pictures on the wall. The tables are surprisingly clean and customer service is not bad.
Overall its an average joint. Maybe it was poppin back in the day but it just seems ok to me now.

Not your typical fast food burger place. What are similar though are the awkward employees and the instant smell of poop and toilet water slushed together, when you walk in through the front door. Seems like a very depressing place. McDonald’s has more life than this place. But this place seems honest about what they serve you.
Currently waiting for food so it’s a 2 star from what I can see itself. Maybe the food will improve my review.
I bumped them to a 3 star because it’s a bit better tasting than McDonald’s in a way. The burger is like a downscaled the habit. And the fries are in between in n out and McDonald’s.

This branch is not good at all. Food is very grease and the inside is dark and smells like an old rag was used to clean the floors

There used to be a few other Fatburger locations here in Orange County, however they’ve all gone now. This location has withstood the test of time. Fast service, good food, great location, plenty of table and seats, and the name’s earned well because they have large portions for your buck. I always try to come back when the urge for a good burger kicks in. I’m very glad this location is still standing and abiding by the standard Burger Foodies adore.
I haven’t had a bad experience here yet, nor have a i taken the XXXL burger challenge yet lol. But i hope this place sticks around.

Horrible customer service and the cook who also had to give me my refund was sooo rude!
The burger I was looking forward to was so salty I had to take it back and he reluctantly have me a refund!

I just don’t love Fatburger.
I have had their veggie burger and the fat and skinny fries and just felt let down by all of it.
My husband has had the burgers in all sizes and variations and also not loved them.
Service is slow, the prices high for what you get and the food lacking in taste and quality, I couldn’t help but think how much I could eat at In N Out for that money and how much more satisfying their food is.
Sorry Fatburger, I won’t be back.

I finally tried this place out, after numerous times of passing it by on my way home. Overall this place is pretty vintage. Menu is pretty straight forward. They have a variety of sizes for their burger, I think it starts with medium, large, XL, XXL, XXXL. They don’t call it fatburger for nothing I guess haha. They also have things you can add on your burger even EGGS! The wait is pretty moderate. Although there wasn’t much ppl…
So I ordered XXXL, just wanted to see how big it was because some burger joints their XL is not really a XL lol. Wanted to keep the theme going so I also ordered the fat fries also, and then I felt bad so I got a medium drink to go with it lol.
The burger was huge because it had like 3 – 4 patties. big fat patties! The taste was good, although for the price I don’t think it’s worth it. It was a little greasy but I guess it’s from the patties. Overall I think this is a good place to go once in awhile or maybe once a year.
Gave it a 3 star because the bathroom isn’t clean. This place could use a little renovating. But the burger lived up to its name but nothing really special about it… it was just fat

To me FatBurger is just comforting to me. Its not the best burger, in face I have yet to find a 5 star burger. But Fat Burger warms my heart and when I am craving a burger I like to come here. Located on La Palma in Buena Park near Beach Blvd sits a stand alone parking lot which is home to about 20 spots or less.
So you order at the counter and add your toppings to a variety of sized burgers from small to XXL and pay the cashier and they give you a table number. I usually get the medium. Im pretty boring, I like American cheese, shredded lettuce, onions and pickles. I add my own ketchup, if I add any at all and I order it on a what bun. Since I always order it well done there is no sign of pink in sight. The burger is gone within 5 minutes. And honestly I can eat 2. Fountain drinks are available, including iced flavored teas, milk shakes or water. I stick to water. Its kind of expensive for fast food. 1 medium cheeseburger and 1 Boca cheese burger with bacon and avocado cost about $ 12 and some change.
Lots of other toppings for the adventurous types. Like avocado, bacon, egg, ect. Turkey and Boca veggie burgers are available. Fries and onion rings are optional with self serve ketchup to dip in.
I’m giving it 3 stars. Its always consistent when I come here, and I will always have a love for fat Burger.
They offer a XXL large burger, where they take your picture and post it on the wall if you finish it.

Burgers are still really good but this place is expensive. Large burger (½ lb) is $ 5.89 plus cheese .89 and bacon .99. Large soda $ 2.29 and Chocolate shake $ 3.79.
The onion rings are $ 3.59 and were really undercooked.
I don’t know if they were just having a bad night?
