Perfect place to come for a cute brunch date. The balcony setting is a great area to take your Instagram worthy pictures. Food is what you pay for, the presentation is on par with the quality and taste! George was my server and he gets 5 stars for customer service! I absolutely fell in love with the place, great prices, delicious food choices and beautiful atmosphere!

Over all it was good. However, customer service is horrible. Owner made a big deal over some small fruit. Did not want to just honor it. Customers first last time I checked. But hey it’s your business so of course your going to run it the way you think is right. Ha! When the lady brought us the check she didn’t even bother to say a word to us. Not even a thank you. Super rude. I will never be back.

So it had been a couple months, but Robyn still remembered us. Had a cheeseburger for lunch. The menu doesn’t lie, housemade patty. The only thing better was the appetizer of mac and cheese balls. Looks like some new menu additions, will be back to try. Great spot!

This was such an adorable place! We came for breakfast and had a great time on the balcony. Very attentive service and delicious food. I had the pigs in a blanket(with bacon and a pancake wrapping). The hash browns were crunchy and tasty. The building is a historical site and a great photo-op.

Wonderful place! Great food! Terrific service! If you are in Buena Park, check it out! I had the daily special, ham and mozzarella calzone with a salad.

Very small new diner that’s right off the 5 Freeway in Anaheim. It kind of looks like a house. It’s got a small parking lot attached, but you shouldn’t have trouble finding parking. I noticed a couple groups of workers walking from the auto center area to here. I can only speak to what I ordered the one time I visited — breakfast. I opted for a traditional fare: 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast. It was good. Nothing special or memorable… Just basic. My boyfriend ordered a beef dip sandwich and was bummed he did. The beef was a little chewy and didn’t seem fresh. He opted for the salad instead of the fries, but they looked pretty good on the table next to us. Not sure we would be back, but it satisfied my brunch craving. Might be a good place to stop in a pinch.

I have been here twice since the open. I can say both times I have been here, service was poor. The first time was for brunch. When my food was served, it didn’t look appealing. Bacon is all curled up and burnt. The server didn’t even make eye contact. All she did was drop off the plate. She didn’t check with me during the meal. I had to flag her to ask for hot sauce. I ended up paying my bill at the cashier. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt since she was waitressing all the tables. On my second visit, it was the same waitress. This time it wasn’t as busy. Again, when my food was served, she didn’t say anything. Just dropped it on my table like dog food. I have to again go to the cashier to pay my food. I would like to support local businesses preferably to chains. However the food looked and tasted mediocre if that’s even a compliment. The service was not genuine and awful.

Eats: Garlic fries, Seared Ahi Steak, and Chicken Pot Pie Takes: The garlic fries are nice and crispy without the overwhelming garlic, stay-away-from-me after taste. The seared ahi steak entrée was the winner of the meal. Its sides include roasted Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. The chicken pot pie is the definition of comfort food. Although it has a homey flavor, it wasn’t enough to win me over. There wasn’t a memorable punch from the flavors. It comes with a side salad. Kudos to the aesthetically pleasing flaky pastry crust! Tips: I’d go back just for the Seared Ahi steak. The ahi sandwich and ahi salad are good alternatives if you want the seared ahi but aren’t feeling the heaviness of an entrée. For those not feeling the ahi, you do get options of breakfast served all day, salads, burgers, pizza, and various desserts and beverages. Price: Depending on what you order, dishes gravitate around the $ 10 mark. Service: Mediocre. The basics(water refills, menus brought to the table and collected, etc) were covered. We did feel a bit rushed in the beginning to pick our entrees. Also, it seemed like the bill was rushed as well(tip taken before we left the table). Parking: Abundant shared lot with the visitors’ center. Bottom line: Go here for your seared ahi fix!

My wife and I had a fantastic dinner to start the new year, 2016. I usually stay away from the seasonal items because if I like it, I know that I will not be able to have it again. But for the new year, I had the seared Ahi steak and the presentation told me I was in for a real treat. The first bite confirm that I was having a fantastic and reasonably price dinner. A hidden jewel in Buena Park, CA The Mac and Cheese balls will bring me back again and again. A glass of Merlot and the Mac and cheese balls will start you off into a dinning experience you will really appreciate. The chef does not use heavy seasoning, garlic and salt to flavor the dishes, a balance that brings out the true and delightful flavors of every dish. A truly romantic experience dinning on the first day of the year, outdoor seating with heaters sets the mood for a delightful outdoor dinning. Once again, a jewel in Buena Park

If you’re driving down beach Blvd and your wondering on where you should eat, I recommend dropping by and checking out Tice House in Buena Park. The spot is right on Beach Blvd so its easily visible and not hidden from tourists or natives. I always drop by the area so seeing this new restaurant piqued my interest and I knew I had to try it. It was dark out already when I decided to check out the spot. It was decorated with lights and the patio area was very open and beautiful. The tables and ambiance felt very serene so it was comfortable to sit out and eat outside. The food is relatively simple home style cooking with some foreign influences. They have Mac and cheese balls, which I thought was delicious. It had a nice crunch and the cheese inside was not dry and rubbery. I also ordered the shoyu wings. I didn’t enjoy it as much because the flavors were okay and did not really surprise me. I wanna try this place during breakfast hours to see if they serve a great breakfast meal. But other than that, the place is an excellent restaurant for either a date or just someplace to go get dinner with the friends($ 2 beers off the tap 3−7pm!)

This café/restaurant is a hidden gem. The overall layout of this café was spot on; not enough café’s can pull off this vibe in such a off-put location. It literally is a little house that was converted into a café including a scenic patio seating area. As far as the food & service, TOPNOTCH. Definitely recommend this place to couples, groups, or even solo cats. I’m actually going to have brunch with the homies right now. (Driveway isn’t that steep, for all you lowered cars out there)

This place was really great! My friend and I came here on a Tuesday morning. It was our first time and our server was very helpful– letting us know about popular items among customers, as well as her preferences and favorite items. We ordered the macaroni cheese balls, spinach and egg frittata, and the pig in a blanket. The portions are a good size. We both had leftovers because we did order and appetizer, but I definitely would suggest trying the macaroni cheese balls paired with the marinara sauce. It was amazing, and I would definitely come back to this place again!

Tice House Café is very definitive with its atmosphere, menu and quality. Located across from Buena Park City Hall, THC is small and delightfully built in a classic American manner. You can eat inside or outside and be very comfortable in both areas. The menu will provide you with delightful food for every meal(breakfast, lunch, and dinner) in a tasteful mode. With my wife and I heading in for the first time, we were awestruck by its architectural design. Highly upgraded, along with a beautifully planted garden setting, we received a very pleasant feeling of where we were and what we would be doing. Given a menu by their waitress, we looked, looked, and looked to decide what we really wanted with the diversity of their items. When we finally came to our conclusion, I ordered a hamburger with fries and she picked a plate of chili fries. The burger came out in a homemade stye and taste. It truly was something, that as a burger buff, i would go back for and recommend to my burger buddy. My wife loved her chili fries because of the unique taste. All-in-all, our appetites had been adhered to in what we wanted and how we wanted it. Along with their nice waitress, their owner, JC, was very kind in every manner. Speaking with him, he told us what he had done and how he had done it to provide an outstanding eatery for all of his customers. It can truly be said that he was correct in all that he stated. Tice is very nice in every way, shape, form for all that you would want when eating out. Give it a try and you will be back!

The good ratings got us to go, but the service and the so so food will prevent me from coming back any time soon. The newest addition to Buena Park’s restaurant scene, it’s just south of the 5 fwy on Beach Blvd. The interior is small, but it has a deck with plenty of tables. It’s really nicely decorated with lots of umbrella and shades. Perfect for outdoor grubbing. Here’s the rundown: Tice House Chicken Salad — The chicken was hit and miss. The marinade was very tasty, but the outer part of the chicken was dry & hard. The salad with it’s sesame vinaigrette was just okay. The vinaigrette needed to be more assertive flavor wise. You can say it was a boring salad. HBLT«Ham, Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato» on wheat bread. The ingredients on its own was good with special mention to the Ham which was Yum! But the sandwich had too much mustard for my wife & my taste. This order comes with fries but can be upgraded to onion rings(up charge of $ 1.25). It was good. Quesadilla w/chicken(add on for $ 2) — it was just okay. It came with a salsa(which was very spicy, yes) & sour cream. Roasted Brussels Sprouts — was the best dish we had here. Perfectly roasted and the vinaigrette it had was spot on. Yum! I also got the Vietnamese Dripped Coffee. It looked good but for Vietnamese coffee, it was very weak. Pass on this one. Service was a sour note for us. The waitress talked too fast and was incoherent most of the time. She also got one of our order wrong. But instead of picking up the wrong dish and getting us what my wife ordered, she was mumbling that that’s what she ordered. I heard what my wife ordered and it was definitely not what she brought out. She eventually came back & blamed the kitchen for the snafu. After that it was all down hill from there. She delivered the bill, before we were done eating and 30 seconds later another waitress asked if we wanted boxes for our food. We were still eating, that’s why there’s still plenty of food on the table. My wife was so ticked, she asked the waitress if they were closing already, of course not. They were definitely trying to get us out ASAP, not cool. Price was reasonable(mostly under $ 10) Parking was abundant Food was just so so, nothing special. Service was a definite bust. A bad combination and with plenty of other choices in the area, it might be a while before we go back(if ever). 2015 Review #166

Okay, I should have taken pictures because the food all came out looking delicious. One of my major pet peeves is when food LOOKS delicious, but turns out to be disgusting. Fortunately, this place does not fail. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was very good. Well proportioned and the sauce that comes with it is a perfect combination. We ordered the Mac and Cheese appetizer so that my 18 month old had something to nibble on while we waited. It was well cooked and the marinara sauce was so good, my mother-in-law couldn’t stop talking about it. As a person who doesn’t care for marinara sauce, I agree with her. It wasn’t your typical tomato paste junky flavor. I just had water as my drink. My husband ordered the meatloaf and although it was a little small for him, he downed in and said it was on the best he’s ever had. He had sweetened tea and said it was refreshing, very good as well. My son got a BLT(minus the L) which made the owner chuckle. He said it was good as well, but I forgot to try it because he’s normally not very picky to begin with. He ordered a pineapple smoothie which is one of the best smoothies any of us at the table have had. It was so light, smooth, and not overbearing. Perfect! I’m going to have to try their strawberry one next time. I don’t remember what my mother-in-law got but she cleaned her plate and mentioned wanting to come back with my brother-in-law so I’m assuming it was pretty good too. She had a coffee and said it had a very nice taste as well. As noted above, my daughter is 18 months old so we typically just have her nibble on everyones food and/or order her a bowl of fruit because she’s really into fruit. The boss told us he would find what good fruit they currently had and ended up only have oranges. Kind of a bummer because they are so messy, but we accepted because she still loves oranges too. He apologized for not having more of a variety at the moment(Shipment of more kinds were coming later that day). He ended up giving us a big bowl of cut up oranges for free. Very kind! The waitress was attentive and the boss made conversation with us, making sure everything was tasting great.(Which it was!) The prices aren’t too steep, parking was easy to find, everything is clean, and the seats were surprisingly comfortable. Oh! One more thing, they currently have a pumpkin cheesecake that my husband ordered for dessert. I’m not really into cheesecake of any kind, I typically find them disgusting to be honest. I decided to take a tiny bite just to see how it was and I literally made a shocked expression like: O lol It was so delicious that I ended up stealing half of it. We will most likely become regulars.

Love this cute little restaurant! It’s not like any other restaurants in the area… very adorable complete with twinkling lights, cute patio seating, and a tea house feel indoor. The menu boasts a variety of selections including sandwiches, pizza, burgers, salads, chicken, fish, etc. The price is amazing for the food that you get with most entrees being under $ 10 and appetizers and desserts being in the $ 5 range. My husband and I came here looking for a quiet place to have dinner and this definitely gave us what we wanted! Service — 5 stars! Our server George was very sweet and knew the menu very well. He gave us great recommendations and frequently came to check on us. Ambience/atmosphere — 5 stars! Gorgeous restaurant with nice indoor and outdoor seating. Quiet enough for a romantic date night. Food — 4 stars but so much potential for 5 stars! The presentation is nothing short of perfection. Everything that comes out of that kitchen is flawless, high quality, and well balanced. For appetizer, we had chili cheese fries which was really good. My husband had the meat pizza which was also good… thin crust loaded with toppings. I had the salmon with rice and Brussels sprouts which I wasn’t a huge fan of. The salmon was dry and overcooked. It was a beautiful plate of food and the flavor was great but just overcooked. We had the banana dessert which was just okay. It’s a banana with chocolate wrapped in a tortilla and fried. I was hoping it would be sweeter.. wish it was Nutella! Although I didn’t love my dish, I’m excited to try the rest of their menu! Overall, I had such a great experience here and highly recommend this place to all of my friends and family! It’s a hidden gem!!!

Had a really pleasant experience here and got to use a «Buy One Get One» free offer from the Buena Park 611 mobile app for their entrees. Service is very attentive and warm and the environment is inviting and cozy! Robin, my server, was so genuine and friendly. Free Wi-Fi is available and they have no restrictions on studying there. Plenty of parking as well. Food is affordable, tasty, and made with love. You can tell they are passionate about delivering high quality and delicious food, and they go above and beyond to make their dishes as gourmet as possible. It’s a reflection of the owner’s dedication to the greater vision of his business. I got a Tice House Chicken entrée which comes with roasted brussels sprouts and red potatoes. Their burgers are also amazing. Give this place a try!

Seat yourself on the patio! The environment outdoor is very modern and relaxing, a perfect place for a meal. I personally enjoyed the food and the price is decent for the quality. I love how accommodating this place is to their customers. My boyfriend wanted fruits instead of a salad and I wanted pesto sauce on my Hawaiian pizza instead of BBQ. Some places have addition charges for that but not this one! The only downside is that there are only three taps to choose from. Hopefully they carry more taps such blue moon or stella one day.
