Subway

The service is hit and miss. It’s pretty much a standard Subway. Because of its location, it gets pretty busy from about noon — 1pm, so I try to get there around 11:30am and there’s usually no line.

Very rude staff. I go in get my sub but god forbid i ask for coffee with my sub. The cashier tells me ‘coffee is unhealthy and i cant have one’… little girl please i just saw you smoking outside not 2 mins ago. as it is no coffee with meal is her little made up rule i guess.
So i eat my sub and want to go to the bathroom and ask for the key. Apparently i cant have the key and need to be escorted by 2 people to the bathroom. :-/​. Seriously? I changed my mind and left. Havnt been back since.

What a difference a week makes. Against my better judgment (see second paragraph describing my previous visit), but in the neighborhood, and backed into a scheduling corner, I stopped into the Chippewa subway again to quiet my growling stomach. It was near closing time, and the staff had already cleaned up. But in a moment of inspired service, sub captain Matthew cheerfully pulled out the fixings, toasted it up and sent me out with supper in a sack. The food quality remains meh, as expected, but Matthew gets a A for effort tonight. The one star rating remains, because of the scar of the previous visit and the inconsistency, but I have to give credit where credit is due.
Previous Visit:
WORST SERVICE ever. Aggressively indifferent punkboys behind the counter were slow and acted genuinely disgusted that I was in the store. Two guys working on the single preceding order refused to acknowledge me for 2 – 3 minutes until that order was complete and paid. Both stopped halfway thru my order to work on next customer, who was, apparently, a friend. Thank goodness they had to stop and toast his sub or I might still be waiting for them to finish. Food quality was predictably meh, but I knew that going in. I don’t expect 5 star service from fast food, but the people in this place just sucked tonite.

This subway is okay. It’s the same as the rest of them, however, the food quality is always a little sub-​par and something always bothers me– ie. the lettuce is browning, the bread is hard, etc. I still go occasionally because it’s the closest one to my office but making a little extra effort with the food quality would help tremendously.

The food is like a normal subway, but the service there now SUCKS. I’ve been going to this one for awhile because I work in the area. the last time I went there, it was all new staff and they were horribly rude the entire time. The guy making my sub was swearing the entire time and talking so fast I had to has him to repeat himself numerous times (at which he got very irritated). My sub tasted fun, but was a big mess. I will NOT be going back there.

A regular subway, but location is perfect. Because one can eat something before going to Pure (dance club) or bars in Chippewa. The only complain is pretty small and tend to be pack during weekdays lunch time.
