On February 19^th my wife and I visited the location to cancel both of our memberships. We filled out a cancellation form and left. The following month I noticed that while I had not been charged the normal $ 25 monthly fee, my wife had been charged the normal $ 19 monthly fee. I returned to the gym on or about March 11^th to ask about the $ 19 charge. I was told that my account was listed as cancelled but my wife’s account was listed as pending cancel. The woman at the front desk took my contact information and said that a manager would contact me. I never received a phone call. On March 17^th I returned to the gym and spoke with the owner, George Niblack. He informed me that he had to charge me because I was a white male. If he did not charge me an additional month he would be racist. In reality I the white male was not charged an additional month but my wife a white female was charged. I am confused as to why given the same cancellation notice that one account was canceled with no additional monthly charge but that the other account requires an additional charge so that in the owner’s words he will not be considered a racist. This is the sad ending to an almost 17 year business relationship.

It is cheaper than the other places around. I like that it is small. I like the staff. I loved Darrah’s Zumba class.

This place really is sub-​par comparatively speaking to what’s out there. They use a billing company that makes it next to impossible to cancel your month to month.
One of the biggest issues is they do not take the time to explain the procedure to cancel the membership up front. I guess If they did, no one would join.
Just a crappy gym all around to be honest, old equipment, things break all the time and there’s really just no customer service to speak of. Trust me, go somewhere else.

Ok three years later… the same old equipment… no new NOTHING! I mean I can’t even charge my ipod on the cardio equipment… My neck is hurting from looking at the old timey tv’s stuck up on the ceiling… Half the crap is broken and outdated… MAN I mean do something with my money… IF there were any other club worth going to I would JOIN! No such luck… there isn’t a YMCA or respectable club for miles… I’m holding on until the economy gets better. BUT you better believe when something else comes along better I’m outta HERE!

The owner, George Niblack, seems to be out for one thing only — your money. I got laid off work 2 weeks after joining, but he has managed to get $ 106 of my money for half a month’s worth of service. I can’t even afford to drive to Buford since I lost my job last June, but he’s made a point to squeeze every drop out of my wallet. I think this guy’s a self-​professed Christian, but I fail to find any sympathy or compassion in him. A friend of mine had their car window smashed out in his parking lot, too. Stay away from this club and go to the Suwanee location.
