We visited Bush’s on a Saturday for the all-you-can-eat BBQ. I was a little worried that there was nobody there, but then we drive by there quite often and never see any cars there. The people working there didn’t quite seem to have their act together. We asked for some ribs and grabbed some side dishes from the buffet. The side dishes were hit-and-miss. I loved the baked beans. The brunswick stew was OK but lacked the depth of flavor that other places have. The corn was awful. Tasted very strange. The collard green were good but way too salty. When we finally got our ribs we were each given three cut bone segments from a rack. They were huge pieces! Lots of meat on those bones and they were cooked nicely. Rich smoky flavor and a highly seasoned(perhaps overseasoned) dry rub. We asked for another helping but after more than 15 minutes went by we still didn’t have more ribs. The guy working the counter seemed lost and obviously forgot about us. Finally a waitress showed up for work and asked if we needed anything and I asked about our ribs. After 20 minutes we got our 2nd helping of ribs. The rest of the day I felt like I do after too much Chinese food. I was incredibly thirsty and probably drank several gallons of water that afternoon. I would have given this place a higher rating but the poor service and overly salty food knocked it down.
