99 Cents Only Stores

I like to shop here, but there are some inconveniences all the time, that’s why I cannot rate 5stars.
The first one is that the cashiers are extremely slow and indifferent. So the lines here are like traffic in L.A.
The second one is that to much of people outside ask for donation. It is annoying and sometimes scary.

Nice 99 cents only store. Though I’m not sure about the creepy kiddy rides from the 1950s outside the store.

I had been going to this location for many, many years now. This place had helped me a lot with my household’s strict budget for food. The store carry a wide variety of fresh produce, frozen items and canned goods. This is also my place to go to for cleaning items and some other toiletries.
The things I hate in this place: parking, carts scattered all over parking, crowded aisle, long lines in the check out, and solicitors in front of the store (which I am not sure if legit). And since when did they stop playing their ad over the PA? The one that says, «99 cents store, where everything is priced at 99 cents’ (or something to that effect). Well, I guess when they started selling stuff at $ 1.99 and $ 2.99.
In spite of all these issues, I will still come back to this store because who ever says no to great affordable stuff. With the issues mentioned above, I can simply either ignore or deal with them.

Just giving you a tip. Your best time to shop here is during the week days. Saturdays and Sundays the parking lots are jammed and there is no parking. Forget side streets they are packed as well.

This location is a little gem in Burbank. I call it a gem because through the struggle of the inconveniently structured parking lot, after milling through checkout lines the length of the Great Wall, you can leave with a LARGE bottle of wine for $ 3.99. For this, I am thankful.
I frequent this location mainly when I’m restocking my wine rack. I also tend to visit when my main 99 location is out of certain produce, like ginger, because they will usually have it. I also found a 2 lb bottle of Heinz ketchup — score! I won’t need to buy any more for another 6 months lol.
I give them 3 stars because of the parking lot mainly. There’s about 5 ways to get into the thing and MAYBE 30 spots available at any given time. The lines — my goodness — also require some patience. They are usually running up any given aisle at any given time .
Visit this location if you need cheap drinks! You’ll save a ton and probably spend $ 10 more than you thought because they’ll have something you really like for the low. Like a 12 pack of yoplait or an awesome pint of a delicious knockoff brand of ice cream you’ve never heard of. As always though, check your expiration dates !

One of the better 99 cents stores I have been to. I have been here a few times. It is located near the Costco in Burbank, about a mile or 2 away. The parking entrance from Victory Blvd is very narrow and I never park on that strip. I drive past the entrance and park at the more open parking area.
They have a good variety of stuff here. I find random beer for $ 1 that I buy for my boyfriend to try. I recently went after Christmas and all the Christmas stuff was 4 for $ 1!!! Now that’s a bargain! I like to buy gift bags from the dollar store because it is pointless to spend $ 4 for a bag that will be thrown away at a regular store.
They take both cash and card here. I usually prefer the 99cents store to Dollar tree, especially when it comes to holiday items. They have way more available at the 99 cents store and will even mark the down to 2 for $ 1 right before the holiday as Dollar Tree will not mark down stuff. You can bet I’ll be back at the 99 cents store again and again.

This 99 cents store location has the absolute worst parking. Never mind that it’s super small but its on a busy street as well
Inside, the store looks pretty clean, but cramped. They carry such a huge selection of items, i’m not surprised the store is lined with products from one end to the other. They always have a great selection of Halloween and Christmas-​y knick knacks, but I get everything from tissues to cups to bags of candy from here. I’ve never purchased groceries from here, that’s just how I am, but if you’re living paycheck to paycheck, trying to make ends meet, this place will do.
The customer service could use a little tweaking as well, employees will walk past you without asking if you need any help.
I do love the 99 cents only stores, just not this particular location.

I love that 99 cent only carries a huge selection of low cost produce! The store is better than most but would be great to see less cluttered and wider aisles. They now inflate Mylar balloons ahead of time, making it very easy to grab party supplies (balloons, decoration, balloons, plates and yes ice) for cheap.
Parking isn’t the greatest. And the relentless panhandlers and money seeking groups drives me nuts. I mean really we are shopping at a dollar store. Does I look like I have extra money? Sheesh!
The staff has always been nice. A winner in my book.

This is a great place in Burbank for durable items but the lines are very long and the parking lot is usually filled with shopping carts and trash

Staff is 99% Armenian. Customers mostly Armenian. Prime Location. Yet when I asked the clerk why the store was selling products that were «Made in Turkey»? I got a smug «You don’t have to buy it!» Yes… the power of the purse is pretty much all the political power we have and I find it disgusting that Turkish products are sold at the store essentially supported by the Armenian community.
I have no problem buying chocolates that are made in America at the 99cent store but I’ll be damned if one red cent of mine goes to Turkey.
BOYCOTT ALL TURKISH PRODUCTS!

The store is great, the employees are less rude than the Glendale store, the parking lot is a bit of a nightmare during busy times.
My main complaint is that there is ALWAYS a begger for some shady «charity» out front making everyone uncomfortable! Why does the store allow this?

I am all about good deals and you can find some good deals her sometimes… its hit or miss. This location is really disorganized and over packed. the place is pretty dirty too… for it being in Burbank… i thought it would be a little cleaner… yes i know its a 99 cent store but the Glendale location is way cleaner and way more organized!
For the most part the employees here as pretty helpful if you ask and the cashiers are friendly.
There are always solicitors outside,…so get ready for that.

Fairly large for a 99 cent store. Gets crowded quickly and their parking lot kinda sucks. The selection is good and seems well stocked each time I have been in here. I need to remember to go here before target more often!

99 cents stores. What do you expect. How can I give them anything lower is everything is 99 cents. They have brand name stuff for a buck

«It’s so expensive to live in SoCal,» said people shopping at WholeFoods, and Ralph’s, after they dropped in for cereal and vitamin water and wound up with a $ 70 receipt.
People are stupid. What’s not stupid is the dollar store.
* Produce: cartons of blueberries, shrink-​wrapped squash and zucchini, grapefruit, bags of baby spinach, and $ 0.79 seedless watermelons. Basically my weekly summer staples.
* For the spoiled and furry: pee-​pee pads (6 in a pack), rawhides, pigs ears, and beggin’ strips.
* School supplies: back-​to-​school boxes of tissues, writing implements, and composition books for the young and young at heart. 5-​hour-​energy and B12 shots for the rest of us.
* Miscellaneous: sourdough english muffins, Crystal Geyser sparkling water, dark chocolate with sea salt, gardening trowel and gloves, Halloween décor…

I like to rotate between this 99 Cents Only Store and a few others in North Hollywood but this one still carries plastic bags! Great for me since they serve double «doodie»…seriously (as doggie bags!)
As far as selection goes, you never know what you’ll find on any given day — which is why every trip is like a scavenger hunt! I especially love when new bread gets put out. Sara Lee Blueberry Bagels? Yes please. And it’s a great place to get your craft on!
If you’ve never been, give it a try. After all, saving just makes cents ;)

Where have you been all my life?! Seriously! I could have saved so much more money if I knew about this place last year when I first moved to LA.
Here’s a taste of the different kinds of awesomeness you will find:
*Party décor and favors
*Bags of candy (Halloween!)
*Legit packaged food (i.e. name brands that are at least a dollar more at regular grocery stores)
*Produce!
*Dishes and tupperware
*Kitchenware
*School supplies
*Gardening supplies
*Beauty/​hygiene products (99 cent Colgate toothbrushes!)
and so much more!
I usually walk out with ten items or less of things that would cost twice as much at Target.
There’s nowhere else I will shop for essentials now. Screw CVS, I’m getting my 99 Cent on.

Can’t complain with this visit to the store, though it did seem a but of a situation finding parking.
I know that products depend on what the have from store to store, but this one did have a few major Labels and lots of that product too…2 examples of that were Pepsi & Lipton Iced Tea (peach flavor) which I mention because it’s some of the items we purchased which I have noticed other .99cent stores don’t carry or have a very limited quantity.
The size of the store is fairly big, which helped as it had lots of things (many of which we had on our list) and I’m sure many more. I was a bit sketchy about buy some candy bars as I have bought some at other 99cent stores only to find them already stale but the candy bars here didn’t disappoint. In total I believe we spend about $ 10 knowing if I would have gone to a Super Market, Convenience Mart or Drug store the same items would have been about $ 30.

The parking situation at the location is a hot, hot mess! Goodness… never seen such road rage at a 99 cents store, ever!!!
I came here to see if they had a particular size of mailing envelope, but nope, they only carried the standard #40 mailing ones – darn!
This location is completely disorganized, and even the employees have noted.

Best 99 cent store only, even thou it’s not 99 cents for a single purchase anymore. but still the best around that I’ve been too. They have major brand names, it’s very clean, great staff, easy parking, a blockbuster rental video machine, and with $ 40.00 I can stock my shelves for a good couple of weeks. I haven’t been daring enough to buy anything from the milk, dairy, meat section but the fruits and vegetables are a go.
The most important thing to get your bucks worth is just check the expiration date and you’ll be all good.
