First time with Art. I really appreciated that the price was very reasonable (paid $ 16 for a shorthair cut, plus a four-​dollar tip) and the service was fast and efficient (in and out the door in just about 15 minutes, wow!). A slight language barrier, but all in all pleasant experience! f you can speak Armenian with Art, more power to Ya!

I’m 40 y.o. now and been coming since I was 15. I knew the original owners to the current owner Yugia. I’m so happy it’s been sold to an old school style barber. Love the fact that I can still come in and support this man and his family. He takes his time while cutting hair. He’s great with my son. And doesn’t do a lot talking and poking around in your business while cutting either. Support this true gentleman and family man. I’ll keep coming back with my son too.

The owner yugia is A truly generous and courageous man, been coming here winced I moved to Burbank and I love this guy. His haircut accedes any salon and he’s all was up for story telling!

BOTTOM LINE: The majority of folks with very short hair will get a great cut from Art’s, but if you have something that is more current/​trendy, I would try elsewhere.
If I could give half stars, Art’s would get a 2.5, but «Meh. I’ve experienced better» is about the right review here.
THE EXPERIENCE: I decided to check out Art’s because I saw the 5-​star reviews, plus it was close and affordable ($ 16 for a cut). I called in and there was no wait, so I hopped on my bike and rode over.
The owner/​barber Yegla/​Art was a very nice man and from the pictures I’ve seen, a very capable barber.
My issues started when I was trying to describe what I wanted: an undercut, but not a drastic undercut. Something that looks classic, but fresh. I even showed him a couple of pictures. He then said: «So you want a Caesar cut.» That’s when the nerves started. Eventually, we were on the same page and he started buzzing away.
Now, he did a bang up job on the back and the sides (of course, he’s a barber), but my issues came with the longer part on top. My hair tends to be wavy when there isn’t any product in it (as was the case). I mentioned that to him, but rather than getting it wet/​damp, he just put a comb in and went to town. I became very uneasy with this process. The eventual result was an uneven length on top. The edges (near the part) were shorter than I wanted and the middle was longer.
Luckily, the way I style my hair is fairly forgiving to «inconsistencies,» but I’d rather have it done exactly how I want it.

Way better haircut than my previous visits to «Sport Clips». Art does the job well and I don’t think I’ll be getting a haircut anywhere else as of now.

Art just gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a very long time.
I had tried a salon earlier this year and the woman who cut my hair was careless and seemingly quite unskilled. A few days later I found Art on Unilocal and asked him to fix the woman’s blunders, which he graciously did. I returned to his shop today for a full haircut and this is without a doubt the best haircut I have had in years. It felt good to sit in his chair and watch him work. I could tell he knew what he was doing and he really spent the time and effort to make my hair look good. I’ll be going to Art from now on.

Best barber in the world! He does a great job ever single time, remembers every detail about how you like your haircut, and he’ll remember your name. My 3 year old loves going there with me even when he doesn’t need a cut because he’s always got a lollipop waiting for him.

Hands down the best barber shop in town! I have been coming here for years now and couldn’t be happier. A+ service & A+ cuts. Practically no waiting and very convenient. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend to check this place out.

When I first moved to California I was worried about finding a barber that did as good a job as my one back home. Back then we used the Yellow Pages and I happened to find Art’s because it was close to me.
Well, 12 years later I can honestly say that I am glad I did. I have been getting my haircut here for over a decade now and it is always a job well done.
The owner, Yugia is such a nice guy and always does a great job. I have been to Sportclips and a couple other places, but you never know who you are going to get and what kind of job they will do.
With Yugia, he always remembers what I like and since I am really busy and don’t have a lot of time, he gets it done quickly.
If you are like me and want a great cut in a short amount of time by a truly nice guy, go to Arts and meet Yugia!
