This place is the best! We are from Chicago, and now live in Burbank during the winter. We stumbled upon this place when checking out the neighborhood, and we were surprised to find this gem in a small strip mall of stores at Victory and Buena Vista(NW corner) Just read all the other reviews shown here; they are very good descriptions; we especially like the churros, glaze twists, and chocolate/chocolate donuts(see picture); we now bring a supply back to Chicago when we return home. Terrific staff, and dedicated owner who has run the store for over 30 years! Quality is outstanding; very light pastries tell me they use fresh oils and ingredients!.. Just try them out… Bob and Marilyn Hiebeler Chicago, IL

Stumbled upon as it was the closest shop when some family in town got a craving for donuts and this was the closest shop. Classic, old-school donut shop where you can tell there are a number of regulars. I wish that I lived closer to this shop as I’d happily join in on being«a regular» here. TONS of options, high quality, and very pleasant staff.

I absolutely love this place. They make the best iced mocha and have a bunch of other blended drinks and smoothly flavors that are amazing as well. I actually haven’t tried the donuts but I always pick up their spinach and cheese croissants and they make great breakfast sandwiches. Today I’m heading there to pick up my coffee but think I’ll try one of their lunch sandwiches for the first time. The owner has been there since the early 80’s and the few members of the staff are always super friendly and super fast. A great place to stop for a snack if you’re in the neighborhood.

After reading so many wonderful reviews there was no doubt that’d I’d be stopping by to try it. I ordered half a dozen donuts. I got one of the glazed cake donuts(blueberry), a chocolate cronut, a white cake donut with sprinkles, and two glazed donuts. The blueberry cake donut was the best! It was delicious and I wished I had gotten a second one. The staff was very friendly to me and the store wasn’t crowded at all when I stopped by around 11am on Sunday. I also got a Mocha Freeze with Boba that was pretty delicious. My total was around $ 9 which is insanely cheap!

This place is amazing. I’m trying to wean myself off sugar forever so I have to pretend it doesn’t exist, but you guys should feast on light, not-as-greasy donuts! Like everyone says, the cronut holes are really really good, and the filled cream donuts are surprisingly light as well(but the cream itself tastes very industrial). (Fine, okay, let’s go.)

Growing up my dad made it a tradition to bring home donuts every Friday after work so that we can have one for dessert that night, and one for breakfast the next morning. Now that I’m a 30 years old, I made my own tradition of having a donut at least 4 days out of the week, I know obsessed much? Yes! I still haven’t met anyone who loves donuts as much I do. So let me get to the point. I had ate Donuts from Dad’s donuts a few times from when my dad would bring a dozen home, however it has been a very long time and I had to try A donut from Dad’s Donuts. I loved the display of donuts being behind the counter on a shelf similar to a boulangerie. After spending 10 Minutes trying to decide which donut I wanted, I finally went with a classic –old fashion chocolate and of course a cup of iced coffee. The donut was delicious and perfectly dense inside for an old fashion-my. Only dislike was that it wasn’t crunchy enough on the outside as it should have been. I will return for a donut when I’m in the area and maybe this time I’ll try the apple fritter which wouldn’t stop smiling at me.

Generally efficient staff, but they have some issues with regard to anything chocolate — specifically none of it tasting like chocolate at all. This includes both the donut itself and the icing. Also, I don’t know what’s going on in their kitchen, but when you order a devil’s food(labeled ‘double chocolate’ here), I don’t expect to find blueberry cake donut mixed into the devil’s food mix. Either they reused a mixing bowl without cleaning it, or used a mixer attachment without cleaning that. Either way, it resulted in a poor donut. Chocolate icing is super light in color, like the color of those sugar babies candies, indicating hardly any chocolate present. Most of the donuts are way too dense, except for the filled donuts. Blueberry cake donut basically tastes like a sugary blueberry kid’s cereal with a hyper purple tinge. Friend reported the buttermilk bar was way too dense and way too sweet. Boston Crème would’ve been okay if the chocolate icing was better. Nothing particularly enjoyable here.

It’s always great coming here, Bruce and the staff treat you super nice. And the signature chocolate bars are the bomb. Yummy in my tummy. What’s even more amazing we been coming here since its infancy and still just as great. Best donut shop that’s family owned.

First time I have come across cronut holes, 3 for $ 1 a great lighter snack and just as good if not better than the full size ones. Very soft and fresh, good quality and fresh oil used, one of the better cronuts around, simple yet decadent and delicious. Friendly service and clean location with a few tables to dine in at. Nice selection and fair prices, I will have to come back and try more next time.

Had this place bookmarked for a while. Donuts are my best friend and Dad’s has become my new BFF. My friend and I stopped in for a sweet treat or two, maybe six. We gathered up a plain butter croissant, swiss ham and cheese croissant, bavarian crème filled sugar donut, blueberry, mini cronuts, a classic buttermilk and a churro. Was that six or eight? I lost count. Anywho… It was crowded with DONUTS and of course customers, but staff kept the line moving. The mini cronuts were a bit too sweet for my taste buds, but the croissants were flaky awesome and buttery. The crème filled sugar donut a bit sweet as well, and definitely will fulfill a much needed sugar fix. I cannot complain about the rest of the choices we made. Staff are very kind, extremely attentive and helpful. The big plus is they do take ATM/MasterCard. Parking is at the front lot shared with other food places. Happy happy, joy joy!

I’m so happy I don’t live right next to Dad’s Donuts otherwise I would be morbidly obese by now. I love this place and nothing makes a better breakfast than their spinach and cheese croissant with an iced mocha. Parking is shared with the other retail stores so not much availability there but there is adequate street parking around the corner. Food: Great variety and great choices. Whether you’re in the mood for sweet or savory they got you covered. They make everything from donut holes to donuts to twists to croissants to sandwiches. Their food is generally fresh except on slower days on the weekend. They have an awesome variety of drinks too like coffee, juices, or smoothies. Price: Dirt cheap. You’ll walk away happy and full just like your wallet. Accepts credit/debit cards too! Environment: About as clean as your average Starbucks. People are always coming and going so crumbs tend to be left behind on the tables. Seating is pretty limited which reinforces the grab and go nature of donut shops. The chairs are pretty beat up but are still comfortable to sit on. Service: The service was quick and the staff is really friendly. I asked for lite sugar in my iced mocha and they didn’t act like it was a bother at all. They are comfortable chatting with their customers and really care about them!

Stopped by to get some cronut holes(3 for $ 1).but so good! perfect size, since cronuts are too much for me in one sitting. I also tried their cinnamon apple-filled donut and the bavarian cream. Both delicious!

Consecutive days I went to Dad’s today I had their Cronut — both original and Chocolate — along with Boston Cream, Bavarian, and Blueberry. Unfortunately the Cronuts were awful. They tasted day old. Nothing fluffy or decadent about them. The other donuts were excellent! Creamy, fluffy, perfect. I’ll stick to what they’re excelling at — the filled pastries!

Wow. I can see why this place has the reviews it does. I got there at 12, and the donuts were still warm. I don’t like donuts admittedly, and the person that I bought them for really enjoyed them, so I had to try. Not too sweet, and it was cake-like and moist. I will definitely travel back here. I like places that don’t look like much, and then over deliver. Glad they exist.

Such an exciting discovery. I am addicted to donuts. Not just any sweets, but donuts. I had the raspberry filled donut and a few Cronut Holes. Don’t judge me. I had no idea about the existence of Cronuts. They are definitely full of sugar but I couldn’t careless at the moment, as each bite practically melted in my mouth. These are a must try item here. Seems to be a fairly busy location so there are several people working inside. I was here on a Friday morning around 9am. It’s conveniently located in a corner shopping center with plenty of parking. This location has inside seating as well as a few tables and chairs outside. You won’t be disappointed.
