We are at Frankie’s about once a week and treated like family each time. The staff is the best. Nicole and Dom are great. The food isnt going to stun you with its inventiveness but it is always delicious. Coming to Frankie’s is a guaranteed good meal with fantastic service.

We really like their pizza. We accidentally placed the order with the Tarzana store and when we picked up at the Burbank store they were very kind and whipped up our pizza without any extra charge and informed the Tarzana store of the mixup. We will definitely order from here again

I do improv in Burbank and my shows usually get out at around 7:30 so you could imagine how hungry I was when I found this place! I had read the reviews and I saw that this could be a good place to eat. I walked in and sat down. Nicole our wonderful server immediately came over and asked us for our drink order. I told her that I came because of Unilocal and she told me if i chcked in I would get some free brusheta. Before the brusheta came out she brought us some garlic knots and said«I bet you saw these on Unilocal» the garlic knots where the best I have ever had along with the brusheta. Then the food came out, I had got the baked zeti and my father got the drunkin chicken, both where REALLYGOOD! And some of the most tasty food in Burbank! And I bet this is my new Italian joint!

What an absolute disappointment — 4.5 star notwithstanding! Everything about this place is shameful right down to the dollar. Came in on a Tuesday night, and right away, I knew something was off. This homeless guy came in and shouted invectives. Not a good sign at all. Ordered the drunken chicken — the signature dish for this pathetic excuse for an Italian establishment. Insta made Italian, vodka sauce was not homemade, they micro blasted it as the inside was hot while the outside was cold. Cheese was coagulated indicating it was overcooked. Didn’t bother giving it back because I was in a hurry and hungry. And at 18 dollars, this is an absolute rip off and a joke. May the Flying Spaghetti Monster have mercy on your meatballs! And to think this was on my list of hot places to frequent. True buyers remorse right here ladies and gentleman. 20 dollars oops down the frickin drain!

Great place to have a bite to eat! Food is great! Staff is great! And it has a great price range. Will be returning! :) try their mozzarella triangles they are so good! I had the drunken chicken! Was delicious the portion size was appropriate. I feel like I ate enough without over eating, I love that. The sauce was very light and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Giving 4 out of 5 stars! Would recommend if you’re looking for a bite to eat that’s a little informal. :)

Full disclosure: we are regulars and come here at LEAST once a week because it’s within walking distance to our home. We love it here! The service, food and atmosphere are wonderful and we feel very at home here. Dominic and Anthonie take REALLY good care of us. So much so that we nearly have our«usual» drinks served to us within seconds of sitting down. My 7-year old gets cheese pizza and I usually order the chicken picatta. We’ve enjoyed other food here and have loved every bite. Do come and enjoy for yourself! No, I haven’t been paid or offered any type of incentive. We truly love Frankie’s!

I got a pizza and the free burschetta. They were both amazing and very quick. My wife and I loved it. We will be going back. The guy that worked there was very friendly too.

Found this place because of Unilocal reviews and had an amazing experience! Nicole is a ray of sunshine and was so friendly and helpful and made great suggestions. Dominic was awesome and helped make it a great dinner. They are such a great tag-team at a great restaurant. We’re all happy that we came by and will definitely be back, especially if Nicole and Dom are here!

Just tried Frankie’s for the first time. Wasn’t bad but certainly wasn’t great. I placed a phone order for spaghetti and meatballs. It was hot and ready when I got there. The guy who helped me was fast and nice. But upon getting home I was surprised to find there was hardly any sauce. Like barley any sauce! And the portion size seemed pretty small for a $ 13.99 plate of pasta. The flavor was bland … Maybe some sauce would help! Haha Overall I would call it an overpriced disappointment. I would be willing to try this place again … I would like to know from the business if that’s how it is supposed to be served or was it a kitchen error? Also interested to see the difference between dining in and take out. At least you could ask the server to hook you up with some extra marinara! The garlic bread was good though. Derp.

I’ve had two deliveries from Frankie’s so far, both times with Eggplant Parmigiana. Today’s version was not good — tough and nearly impossible to chew. But the mozzarella triangles are to die for(as is the marinara dipping sauce), and my friend’s meatball sub was also great. Everything is very fresh.

This place is awesome! I was here the other night with boyfriend for paint night which was next door but they didn’t serve any food so we decided to stop by here to grab a bite. The service here was super! The guy named Dominic I assumed since his name was on the receipt was a great server and recommended Pinot Grigio(Fat Cat) when i wanted white wine. It was amazing and I’m in love with it now. The calamari and the bruschetta was just perfect in the right amount of flavors. Absolutely Delicious! I can’t wait to try out the rest of their food next time! Thank you so so much!

Don’t understand where all the 4 and 5 star reviews are coming from. Waitress, though smiling and nice, seemed like she felt way over worked, rushing, like she had no time for anything. Slammed the drinks on the table when she brought them, not angrily, but like she was harried, didn’t have time to set them down gently. Never responded to any of the polite«thanks» we said to her, just turned her back and zoomed off. The other waiter, the one that wasn’t helping us, seemed much more relaxed and friendly. Iced tea tasted like instant ice tea mix. Ordered the fried zucchini and fried mozzarella appetizer. Took nearly half an hour to arrive. The fried mozzarella was warm, not hot, and the fried zucchini was cold. Not room temperature, below room temperature, refrigerator cold. The main course was brought by a server. He held a dish of something like penne pasta with a red sauce in his hand, and said it was«Alesfrs-mumble-mumble». He was very confused when I told him I didn’t hear him, he didn’t seem to know what to do. So I volunteered that I had ordered the chicken marsala, my wife said she ordered ravioli. He said«I think this is chicken marsala» and set it in front of me. Strange presentation. Perhaps they put the chicken marsala under the penne pasta with red sauce? Dug around, and found no meat at all. Then they put a meat dish with a brown sauce in front of my wife. Turned out that was my chicken marsala. So, the server has no idea what chicken marsala is, can’t tell it from pasta? And, by the way, my wife thought she had ordered ravioli, not a pasta plate, but misunderstandings can happen. Chicken marsala had a stray rib bone in it, which I found when it crunched in my teeth. Don’t think I swallowed any pieces of it. Never had a rib bone show up in chicken breast at a restaurant before. The marsala sauce was very good, absolutely going to give them that. The pasta served with it was room temperature when I touched it. This was probably sitting on the counter for some time before being served. Not a good thing. No good restaurant would let pasta get to room temperature and then serve it like that. Ordered the much praised carrot cake for dessert. I took a bite, and it was hot. Interesting(although not pleasant), I’ve never had carrot cake served hot before. Next bite was cool. All further bites were cool. I checked he plate, and it was cool. Did part of it sit under a hot lamp, or get set too close to a broiler, since only one corner was hot? Was all of it supposed to be hot? Either way, this is a mission failure. Besides temperature, carrot cake was mediocre. This place is not cheap. For the price point, this is one of the worst restaurants I have been at in a long time. Needless to say, won’t be back.

Today my husband and I came to have dinner and we noticed that it was only one server because the other server was sick, however Nicole did a fantastic job all by herself, she not only had a smile on her face but made sure everyone was happy and taking care of, I can’t say enough about her, I am waiting for our meal and everyone around us seem very happy and that’s because Nicole is making sure of that, did I forget to say the phones were ringing like crazy for take out orders and she was even doing that.

Service is outstanding, atmosphere is nice inside and out. Mozzarella triangles are out of this world. The BBQ and Pepperoni pizza are pretty good. The alfredo is tasteless, and red sauces are a bit plain. The chicken parm is average and shrimp was also bland. The breads are dripping and overpowered by oils and salads are typical of a pizza joint. You can replace spaghetti with spaghetti squash which is pretty awesome. So overall it’s a good place it just depends on what you choose.

Frankie’s is a nice little hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant. Came here for my first visit with the family a week and a half ago after spending the day at Universal Studios to celebrate my dad and sister’s birthdays. Dominic was our server and was very hospitable for our entire visit. The portions of the food are medium-sized, about 1.5 servings. We had the frutti di mari, chicken parmigiana, and clam linguine, all of which I would highly recommend! The flavor of the sauces are rich, and not overbearing at all. The white sauce on the linguine complemented the taste for the clams. 10⁄10 would recommend and come back next time I’m in the area!

Frankie’s in Burbank is amazing!!! The food is so delicious, fresh, and authentic. The atmosphere, server’s, and the cook are all so friendly, not to mention the owner Lionel, who is terrific. His wife Yvonne, makes the best desserts. Her carrot cake is one of our favorites. My daughter and I love this restaurant so much that we have dinner their at least once a week. You must try it. I promise you, once you do you will be there all the time!!! lol Melissa Zee Rodeo Realty

Last Thursday a few girlfriends and I had a dinner date at Frankie Italian Kitchen and let me just tell you we were blown away with the small intimate place. We were greeted by the lovely host/server Nicole. Nicole was very friendly she recommended a nice bottle of wine and few of there appetizers. We ordered the bruschetta and calamari and they were both exquisite the bread was fresh and the tomato mixture was seasoned to perfection. The calamari was fried to perfection and tasty. Nicole recommended their specials of the day and two of my friends ordered the ravioli, I had the shrimp scampi, and my other friend had the Lionell chicken. All of our plates were empty and we were all speechless because every single dish was seasoned perfectly. I definitely will be returning to this place again. :)
