Green Reita Wall Paper

Rita is a delightful woman who I enjoyed being around. She even invited us to her upcoming 80^th birthday party! However, there were quality problems with the installation which forced me to rebuy the wallpaper a 2^nd time and Reita re-​installed it. To her credit, she offered to pay for the replacement paper but I didn’t feel good about allowing an 80 year old woman do that. And I appreciate how much she cared and kept trying to get it right so it looked good. In total she came out 4 times, the 2 installation times, and 2 attempts to try experimental fixes on the 1^st installation. I was surprised she was experimenting considering she said she’s been doing this since 1965. The 2^nd installation looks better but it’s still got some precision issues that we will try to ignore. I’m really confused why she twice put up a strip where the pattern didn’t repeat with the adjacent strip, but I pointed it out and she ultimately found a better repeat pattern for over the door jambs. Reita thinks most of the problems were related to the paper even though she initially thought it was high quality and commented that it was made in the USA. It’s an expensive, thick gold paper with a bit of an embossed pattern that has a slight amount of glitter on the embossed part which mostly got scraped away during the installations. As a result I think it’s important to show the installer the chosen paper and ensure they’ve worked with those embellishments before because apparently it’s not all the same when hanging paper. Despite the disappointments, I again want you to know that Reita is a lovely woman with a great uplifting attitude and obviously she cares and follows up on problems.

Wow — Reita is AMAZING. She came over the same day I called, gave me a very reasonable price for removing a (large) roomful of wallpaper, then gave me an appointment to do the work the very next day. I also showed her a roll of this vintage wallpaper I had bought a long time ago at an on-​line auction. I had never used it because it was just one roll — but Reita had some great ideas regarding how it could be used :) so I hired her to do that as well.
She showed up on time, brought all her own supplies, and did a PERFECT job of removing the wallpaper. No wall gouges, no leftover glue, no leftover mess.
If you’ve never removed wallpaper, let me assure you, it’s hot, sweaty (especially because of the steamer), time consuming and frustrating — it’s well worth it to hire someone to do the job for you.
Additionally, Reita is one of the most upbeat and interesting women you will ever meet. It was such a pleasure to have her in our home, her positive «vibe» stayed long after she left.
If you have wallpaper, Reita will either take it down, or put it up, whichever you need. And the job will be done quickly, cleanly, professionally and with a smile.

I hired Reita to remove the wallpaper from two of my bathrooms this month. She arrived on time, was super friendly and worked her butt off to get that ugly wallpaper off my walls! They look beautiful now and thanks to her color suggestions, I painted the walls with one color rather than another and I’m glad I did.
Her work was well worth the money and I would hire her again in a second.
