Alma is the best of the best. She’s super sweet and amazing at what she does. Not to mention her prices are unbeatable. I highly recommend checking this place out. There is plenty of nearby parking too. =)

Alma is awesome! I had my hair cut at Hair Care Center a couple weeks ago. It was my first time there and I was a little skeptical because the prices are so much lower than what I’m used to paying at other salons in LA. But I decided to take a chance after seeing all the good reviews here on Unilocal.I’m so glad I did! Alma gave me a great haircut (BETTER than the pricey cuts that I’ve gotten in the past) and she was really sweet and personable. It feels like a small town salon — good people, low-​key vibe, and amazing prices. I will definitely be back!

Ask for Alma, the owner, great personality, great job with my hair for 12 yrs, clean location and great prices!

Tani has been my stylist for over 20 yrs. NO ONE but Tani touches my hair. If you need a stylist /​therapist /​comic relief SHES THE ONE TO VISIT!!!
Honestly, this place is like a 2^nd family, very friendly and you can count on them anytime!

Tani is the best. She always gives me the haircut I ask for. And for a great price, too.

Ok I’m sorry to be a downer here but customer service at this place simply SUCKS.
I’ve been looking for a place to make it my go-​to hair place since I moved to Burbank.
First time I tried I walked in and made a somewhat last minute appointment for an hour later. I went to wash my car down the street and it took them a bit longer than usual so I knew I was running about 15mins late and gave the salon a call. Tani answered and said sorry I have someone else afterwards so come in 3 hrs. I couldn’t do that so we left it at that for the day.
Called again a couple of weeks later on a Friday morning to make an appmt next day, Tani again answer and said she can’t because the other girl is leaving town and she’s all booked up on Saturday etc etc etc. Totally understand. I said ok how about Sunday afternoon? «Nope can’t do because I’m all booked up since I’m taking some of the other girls clients.» said Tani.
Okkkkkk…
So when can I go? I kindly asked. «I don’t know because it’s a busy week etc etc etc» said Tani.
Ok I got you, but WHEN else could I go?
«Oh probably until next weekend I think».
I said ok thank you, goodbye.
Oh you «think»? Really? Give me a break. That’s ridiculous. I’m done trying here. Place is small, old and rundown with only two hairstylists, one of them who thinks she works at an exclusive place.
If they knew me well or my name at least, I’d take it personally or say they maybe don’t like me or something but they don’t because I never even had the chance to get my hair done at this place. They’re just RUDE, period.
Wanted a normal humble little place with decent reviews to become a regular but this one is definitely not it.

I actually like this spot. $ 25 quickie haircut place. Only reason I’m giving them 4 stars is because I can never get an appointment in. Ever.
I tried calling in the wee hours of the morning and they’re usually booked for the day. Sigh. But I should note, when I did finally get in (one time) the lady Tani cut my hair was nice and quick (She talked about herself a lot, but whatever). Obviously… I’m trying to return. Lol.

Tani knows her stuff! She listens and then educates you before any cutting happens. She cares about her craft and is a true expert when it come to hair. After having my hair ruined by another stylist, I’ve been going to Tani ever 3 – 4 months to get my hair shaped as it grows. It’s taken 2 years to fix the massacre that was on my head. I will continue to go because I trust her to keep it real – and her energetic personality is definitely a plus. I can’t speak for the other stylist but I am very happy with Tani and her prices are very, very fair. For a simple hair cut it will run about $ 18-​$ 20.

No No No. I went because of the good reviews but can’t give one. The stylist Tanya clearly did not know what a fade is, I mean you cut hair and don’t know what a fade is, really? Her lack of knowledge caused her to butcher my hair. I stopped her and she did give a good try at fixing it. To top it of she charged me $ 18, which from reading other reviews is full price + 20% tip, BAD and sleazy form!

I have been going to Alma for 5 years and just realized she’s on Unilocal so I had to add my review of her salon! I get my color and highlights done every 6 weeks and it’s always a great experience. She knows what colors I like and my cut hasn’t changed in years but I always get compliments. She has the skills to make blonde highlights look natural. I suggest you check out the salon and make your appointments!

After a failed haircut with my regular stylist, my co-​worker referred me to Alma to fix my awful haircut. She did a fantastic job and salvaged what little of a style I had.
Not only was she great with styling, but has a sweet and friendly personality. I definitely recommend her. Haircut is $ 25 for shampoo, cut and hair dry. Not bad, at all.

I have been coming to tani and alma for quite awhile. They always take in last minute accommodations and their prices are affordable. Now that I am a dad, I take my kids their as well .Alma and tani are easy to talk to and the only place our family goes for our hair needs. They are also open every day so it works with my busy schedule.

Love Alma! I asked her to come and do hair for my bridesmaids last year when I got married and she was such a trooper with all the craziness in my hotel suite. She has cut my daughters hair and mine and I love her work and her!

Alma is the BEST!
I started coming to her when my regular hairstylist moved out of town and was a bit hesitant, because I am extra particular about my hair. She obviously did an excellent job as it is years later and I am still coming back.
My daughter, several of my friends and co-​workers have started getting their hair cut and colored at Hair Care Center and we even brought my boyfriends three girls in — who are young and Alma was great with them too!
Prices are extremely reasonable and Alma is always fun and friendly and patient with my indecisiveness. It is an very cozy salon! If you haven’t done so… Visit the Hair Care Center and see just how great Alma is! Two thumbs up from me!

I’ve been coming to the Hair Care Center for 17 years and I’ve always been very pleased. I just started bringing my daughter and she loves Alma. Alma knows just what I need and how to style my hair. If your looking for friendly atmosphere, good quality, professional service and a great stylist this is the place. Alma is amazing!

Outstanding value! When you call, the phone will be answered by a real person, and you will be able to get in the next day. Friendly and professional service, very prompt but personal; quality products and down-​to-​earth attitude. The place is clean, with lots of parking. The prices are unbeatable and the range of services is very comprehensive. It does not get any better!!!

I love this place!
I looked for YEARS for a hair stylist that cared enough and was fashion saavy enough to help me find a hair cut that was right for me. Luckily I was referred by a friend and found Alma, who is a complete sweetheart and helped me make the quantum leap of getting bangs.
But the best thing about this place is that they are not pretentious at all, if they can they will do their best to fit you in and their prices are just right :)

What can I say! I have been a long time customer of Alma. She is great and she tells you what haircut is good for you. My son loves getting his haircut with Tani. Tani is the only one allowed to cut his hair. The hair care center is a great place to go if you want good inexpensive haircut, color and style.
