Honestly the best place to have a nice decent amount of breakfast.. Personally this is a healthier IHOP… not so many choices but you wont be disappointed w. What they provide. never been here for lunch but im sure its great. Other than that… its a cheap place have a nice kids section so they can watch movies and play games!

I went to the restaurant at 830pm and was told they’re closed, taking all food from the trays. Closing half an hour before official closing time at 9pm??? That’s not right!

I love this place and I can’t find anything wrong with it. 5 stars for what it is. Not 5 stars in the sense of a gourmet restaurant . 5 stars for the price and the amount of food. And even though the price is cheap, the food is delicious. For what it is.

HOTDOG Review only — They use to broil their hotdogs, and now they’re boiled. That’s disgusting! Plus the my started selling turkey hotdogs when they use to be beef… what the f***!! Downgrade! it’s worse than an am/pm hotdog lol… oh yeah, last but not least the hot dogs use to be 50 cents each now they are 75 cents… I can never go to ikea for a hotdog again… what is this world coming too…

Cheap and delicious! These meatballs are so good!!! I would have given five stars just for the food, but Christina(the cashier girl with glasses & a pink phone case) is not a good employee. When we were paying for food, my mother said she wanted some tea. I asked Christina if the soda and tea cost the same since we were paying for soda cups(we wanted to switch one to a cup of tea). The answer was a no. Yes, they do not cost the same(the tea actually costs less), but I wish she was a better employee to go the extra mile. She just said no and proceeded with giving us the change. Mind you, she already scanned my membership card so she knew I am Ikea Family member. As I went over to the drink area to get my lingonberry drink, I noticed a sign that said Ikea Members get coffee/tea for free!!! Okay, Christina. Way to go not telling me about this membership perk. I guess she was too busy not caring and wanted to use her cellphone. I waited in line again so I could get some tea for my mother. Thanks for wasting my time. Hope Ikea can train their employees better to go the extra mile for customers

If only I lived closer to IKEA! I love the clean, cafeteria-like environment of IKEA’s restaurant. And I love even better the super cheap prices. $ 4.49 for 10 vegetable meatballs smothered in lovely sauce and steamed vegetables – absolutely incredible. $ 5 for a plate of dill-smoked salmon, ughh, again perfect. 2 for $ 1 garlic bread? I don’t care if garlic bread is bad for you, give me 10. Free coffee/tea for IKEA members, all the time? Whoopie! I think I’ll choose my next place of living somewhere within walking distance to an IKEA.

If you’ve had IKEA food before… You know what to expect. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food you are getting… Especially in Los Angeles:)) I ventured out and tried the chicken meatballs… But I would recommend sticking with the Swedish ones! Also tried the salmon with veggies for a boost of omega-3 to help with our colds… Not bad for $ 5… Just a little bit salty. Garlic bread was DELICIOUS!!! :))) It’s always a good idea to get food after a good IKEA shopping spree. And it’s such a good place to people watch! Good solid place to grab a quick bite to eat

The best food according to the price. Do not go there expecting a cool restaurant amd really interesting combinations in a refined menu. Obviously this is not the intention of the restaurant so my evaluation is always according to that, what the restaurant OFFERS and what they actually SERVE. The food was REALLYGOOD. I ordered 1– vegetarian meatballs(They are delicious and NOTFRIED), it comes with a side of vegetables(those doesn’t really taste special, but you can put olive oil or seasonings, the most important thing is that it’s truelly healthy, they don’t «grill it with oil»). 2– Tomato+vetables soup. Delicious! They have two optiona of VEGAN soup everyday. It was not necessary to order 2 things, they are well served!!! I was just excited, it was worth it though. By the end I paid less than 8 dolars, which is the coast of the soup by itself in a different place. And I ate healthy food that really tastes good for a chip price. Thumbs up for those guys!

Not bad considering the price. But everything does taste like it’s been through a massive supply chain and then reheated. Cloudberry jam tastes a lot like Raspberry. Gooseberry jam is nice and tart but not always available.

Well what can I say, IKEA café is always a hit and never a miss. It’s fast, efficient, and tasty. The whole set up is easy, you go through the line quickly, and pay at the end. Really the only difficult thing here is finding where to sit!!! Oh and I almost forgot, it’s super affordable. Like crazy affordable. I have to say the Swedish meatballs are the go to here. They taste delicious along side the lingonberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and gravy. I once bought the frozen meatballs to take home and make; along with the sauce and it did not taste the same! I actually hated the meatballs. So go ahead and order the meatballs at the café, sit, and enjoy!!! I also just had the hot salmon filet with hollandaise, steamed veggies, and the potato broccoli cheese medallion. That medallion was THEBEST! OMG it tastes just like cheddar broccoli soup. Anyway, wash everything down the tasty lingonberry drink! Like cranberry juice but sweeter and not as tarty :)

Um. Obviously 5 stars. Not at all the finest dining quality, but 100% fulfills what you want from an ikea restaurant: fast, friendly, delicious meatballs. I know there are other options, but I for one have never tried them. Without fail I order the meatball combo(Swedish meatballs, gravy, mashed potatoes, and lingonberry sauce) and without fail I am very pleased. Sometimes I treat myself to a side salad if I’m feeling vegetable-deprived, but really anyone who strays from the famous meatballs, I’m sorry my review won’t apply. The mashed potatoes are always creamy, perfectly whipped and expertly buttered. Cover them in gravy and mix in half your lingonberry sauce, and get ready for a solid mouth-gasm. The meatballs are hearty and spiced to a T. Seating is generally pretty easy to come by(avoid peak meal hours for best shot at a table to yourselves), and there are enough employees that the tray stacks are cleared when they get too full. Water is free, but they also offer coffee, tea, and sodas in a DIY fashion.

3.5 stars rounded up for the GRÖNSAKSBULLAR aka Vegetable Balls. I was pretty psyched when Ikea launched a vegan option at their stores back in April. But considering my love/hate relationship with this Swedish home furnishing store, it took me 7 months to finally check it out. Here it is: My verdict: Pretty decent! I was expecting something more reminiscent of Trader Joe’s Meatless Meatballs but these were more like fritters made of garbanzo beans, peas, carrots, corn, and other veggies. I appreciate that they went the real veggie route rather than the fake«meat» route. Ten Veggie Balls are topped with a sweet potato sauce that had a smokey taste to it which I don’t normally associate with garam masala. It also comes with a side of veggies. My one complaint is that one of the sweet potato pieces was cold in the center. But I guess that’s what happens when you’re reheating frozen food. They also offer a vegan Roasted Veggie Soup. Thumbs up for the options! I wouldn’t say it’s the best meal I ever had nor the most filling but it only cost me $ 4.49 and in my book, that makes me a fan! How often do I get a fast vegan meal for under $ 5?

Chicken and Swedish Meatballs!!! Ikea layout is pretty much all the same. When you enter and you want to go to the restaurant, go directly to the marketplace. From the marketplace take the stairs up to the showroom(which is basically taking you to the end of the show room) and the restaurant should be there. Last i checked(11÷9÷15) if you buy 100 bucks worth of Ikea stuff, you can deduct whatever you eat from your 100 bucks worth of Ikea stuff. So you can eat 100 bucks worth of Ikea food. So for 5 bucks a plate for 10 meatballs… that is around 200 meatballs. The smoked salmon, though it says hot, is not hot at all. It is placed near the salad area. The salmon was just okay. I didn’t think it was that special or worth the 7 bucks.

The selection of food here is not that great, but here is the best part… it’s Free!!! All you have to do is become Ikea Family. Ikea Family is a loyalty program designed for people who love their homes, and love to shop at IKEA. Product discounts, special offers, ideas and inspiration, and more. And best of all… it’s free to join! Perks include: — Free coffee and/or tea — More Smaland Time(30 extra min) — 90 Day Price Protection — If you spend more than $ 100 at Ikea, then the full amount you paid at the Ikea Restaurant is credited towards your purchase! As far as the food goes: — Sweedish meatballs: very fattening, but delicious nevertheless. — Mashed potatoes with gravy: Tastes good, but I believe it’s made from powdered potatoes, not real ones. — Cranberry sauce: Typical canned sauce with lots of sugar. Still, delicious and reminds me a lot of Thanksgiving holiday meals. — Salad and dressing: Typical buffet, simple ingredient salads. Nothing special. However, they do have some alternative salads in the fridge, but still not that great tasting. — Soup of the day: When we went there they had butternut squash soup. Again, typical canned soup. Not a gourmet soup. They have all you can drink soda refills along with coffee. If you are exhausted and hungry from walking the shop, it’s always a nice convienence to stop by here for a quick meal before heading home to assemble Ikea furniture!

Excellent price for delicious food. Such a great idea to have food available for people to walk around ikea, gather their thoughts about which furniture to pick, and then go downstairs to pick up their box. Of course my favorite is the Swedish meatballs with mashed potato and their berry sauce! The meatballs are cooked perfectly and everything is so flavorful! Ive also tried the cinnamon buns and I was lucky enough to get them right when they finished packaging it so it was fresh, soft, and perfectly sweetened. You don’t have to come here just to buy furniture. Come here just to eat!!!

The prices keep going up, and the food quality keeps decreasing. I used to love the salmon dish. It started out at about $ 4.50, and the last time I ate here the portions were smaller and I paid several dollars more. It’s essentially reheated salmon with microwaved mixed veggies. The vegetables don’t taste the greatest, so I’m really disappointed in the price increase. The salad bar is always iffy and I used to love the macaroni and the crepes. The fries are always cold and rubbery for some reason now. They went overboard on the prices and that’s why I enjoyed eating here in the first place. If the prices went down, or the quality increased, I’d resume my patronage in a heart beat. The staff is efficient and friendly as usual, so no complaints in that department. Always clean and they always follow health codes.

Surprisingly good. I’m not usually big on cafeteria style dining but I have a soft spot for Swedish meatballs and theirs really are good. It’s crazy to me that they’re only $ 4.99. The beef ones are still the best although they have healthier, chicken and vegetable options. The lady that dishes the food is surly and curt at best but everyone else always seem smiley and happy.(They probably get free meatballs.) Soda fountain is $ 1.49& includes lingonberry juice. My Sweety loves that. All things considered, this place is really a deal and since IKEA is so big, it’s nice to have a place you can take a break & let your kids terrorize fellow patrons before heading out. There’s plenty of stroller space here, and no shortage of loud, rambunctious kids running around.(I think this is where parents bring their children to run wild.) Very kid friendly! They can even step just outside of the dining area and hit the little toy spot.

First time at this IKEA Restaurant. Pretty consistent with West Covina’s which is good. Cashed in on the holiday savings with food purchase amount deducted from overall bill for furniture. I guess I should have eaten more! Swedish meatballs, side salad, chicken fingers with fries, drink and a soup did the trick. Neighbors went further with creating a «sampler plate» that also had smoked salmon, regular salmon and even cake. Overall quality isn’t that bad for the price(make sure you have your family card/store card for member pricing). Everything was in stock despite the mad rush of people for Independence Day, and generally there was ample space to sit. Can’t do much about parking, but there’s two lots immediately in front and on to the side of the IKEA building to park in…2 minute walk. Restaurant is cafeteria style so make sure to clean up and put your tray away when finished. Enjoy the grub.

The Service: Slow… wish there are more staffs behind the food counters and move the line faster. 2 cash registers only… waiting in line again. :( The Food: OMG! Super cheap! The price is so affordable. Soup, salad, bread — $ 1.99, $ 1.99& $.39. Nothing special… Bread is tough & old. Swedish meatball — addictive… can’t stop eating them! They give you generous amount of meatball, cranberry sauce and mashed potato. Salmon — the salmon is delicious, but the steam vegetable are way overcooked. The potato cake thing… not a big fan. The Parking: Parking structures across the street or parking structure behind the mall.
