I came here to try their spinach and cheese empanada and compare it to my Favorite spinach & cheese empanada from World Empanada, about a half mile away on Magnolia. I prefer the Spinach cheese at World. The empanada from this place was salty and had feta cheese instead of the creamy melting cheese in the pastry at World. But it was ok, and made me want to try the traditional beef next time. The pastry was good though. That being said, the sweet apple puff pastry I purchased here was so delicious! I will go back again for those for sure. It also looks like they have tasty sandwiches and steaks here. This place is very pretty and cozy inside. The lady running the counter was nice and service was quick. This would be a nice place to meet for coffee because it’s so pretty and the coffee smells amazing. I will be back for sure.

Small taste of the homeland. Lol I haven’t had a milenesa in what feels like forever. I was happy to see they had a sandwich form. Pretty good and filling. I would simply return for all the traditional desserts that they have and stock up.

I was on a lunch break from work. Decided to go for a drive and found The Frontier Wok Too; what an interesting name. I’m surprised there was not a Giant panda as the logo. Also surprising was the service. I just ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl; the whitest thing on the menu behind orange chicken. It came out within a few minutes, piping hot. Fast, cheap and easy; sounds like my kind of date. :)

There bread is sooooo good. The cons about this place is they take to long when you order food.

Great latte, great empanada! I ordered a spinach and feta cheese empanada… so yum. Casual, local place… great for a little quiet cup of coffee and conversation.

The people running this place still don’t have a clue on how to run a business and customer service. The run out of empanadas all the time. Never going again! I mean it this time.

This place has the best chicken empanadas ever. The owner is a very nice lady, always smiling and giving you the best service . I didn’t give 5 stars only because there is not restroom available and that is a big problem specially when you have kids.

My sister and I paid this charming café a visit to satisfy our sudden hankering for empanadas. The service was not the fastest, but the product was pretty good. I was partial to the beef, ham and cheese and spinach empanadas. We also tried the steak sandwich which was alright, but not earth shattering. All in all, it satiated our cravings and didn’t break our budget!

Super authentic Argentine pastries — Just like you are in Buenos Aires! On my last visit… I ordered 18 pastries(some to go) a late and a box of Alfajores — NOREGRETS! So deliciously GOOD! The carne empanadas are fabulous! Perfect size, price and flavor! I was genuinely impressed by the authenticity of the food and the quality. I’ll be back soon! Trust me — Go for breakfast or lunch and you will love the food and won’t regret your visit! Saludos!

I keep giving this place a try and they keep disappointing me. How do you not have empanadas in the morning? I can understand if you are out after a long busy day. But right when you open? So instead I just asked for a variety of their«pan dulce» because they had nothing out for me to choose from. As the girl went back to put it together I started looking through their displays of old dry pastries that was spilled over and covered by dirty glass. I got so grossed out that I just cancelled my order and drove to Portos Bakery. I understand if they have a few bad days but I consistently come in here and it’s consistently bad. I’m not returning again.

Que Rico! I love this place, reminds me of my moms cooking–(she’s from Argentina) Really pretty décor an they always have a tango playing to set the mood. It’s like a little vacation in the middle of Burbank. Friendly service! However this is not«fast» food, they make it to order– but it’s very reasonably priced. Love it. Two thumbs up!

I am so glad I found this place. I love the empanadas(beef in particular, I found the spinach ones to be a bit bland for my taste). I also really liked the carne empanizada(breaded steak). The lady at the counter(young Salvadorian-American girl) was really nice and chatted with us a bit about all the options. I am looking forward to trying it again.

I was in the neighborhood and found this place through Unilocal.Their empanadas looked and sounded enticing so I thought I would order some to go. I ordered two of each, the beef, chicken, spinach, and ham and cheese. The order took about 10 mins and I was on my way. Got home and was all hyped up to eat one. Now they came in a container wrapped in foil and felt hot to the touch. So I assumed they were ready to eat. However when I went to bite into one YIKES the inside was cold. I’m not sure if they were meant to be sent out this way and New Buenos Aires expects their patrons to heat the empanadas up themselves? Or if the cook just didn’t heat mine through enough? Either way it was gross. One because cold empanadas are nasty and two I knew they weren’t fresh. I ended up putting them in the fridge and brought them to a friends house later to share. We popped them in the microwave, making sure they were hot on the inside before consuming. However even after being warmed through neither of us thought much of the empanadas. We tried the different flavors and weren’t that impressed with any. We both didn’t like the egg and olives in the beef one and my friend didn’t even want to have a second bite of the spinach. The ham and cheese one was the best of the bunch. But one decent empanada won’t get me to come back.

My husband brought me the empanadas for lunch at work so I did not go to the restaurant but not sure if I would anyway. Alot of meat in the empanadas the beef was really tasty more like aunties house not from mama’s cooking. the chicken not to my taste but wasn’t un-edible but I did not finish it either . the pastry on the empanadas a little thick but they did have a lot of meat taste for yourself I prefer more Cuban Puerto Rican Jamaican empanada not sure if I would go to the restaurant again maybe to try something else again the food not bad but not a craving.

Small mom and pop place. They have sandwiches, dinner plates, and apparently pizza! And I think empanadas too although I didn’t see any out(maybe they have them in the back or make them fresh to order?). They also have display cases with baked goods, including alfajores and a variety of other pastries. I tried a Milanesa sandwich(breaded steak with lettuce and tomato, $ 7.50) and it was pretty good, but needed more mayo. My Argentinian coworkers tried the choripan(chorizo sandwich with chimichurri sauce) and one of them said it was the best choripan he’s had and wants to go back tomorrow! I got a huge alfajor cookie to go and it was only $ 1.50.
