Planet Infinity – More Than Medals Tae Kwon Do

Would NOT recommend this school. Claims to be More Than Medals but this is all they focus on. Black belt instructors constantly teach classes — yet one laughed after «accidently» punching a kid in the face and another (summer only/​temporary instructor) gets his «kicks» by Yelling at kids. Very cliquish environment — Primarily towards asian americans.

I first heard of Planet Infinity 4 yrs ago. Joined a free trial for a few days when it first started, but decided it wasn’t for me. I did, however, just recently enrolled my nephew for weekend classes and so far he’s enjoying every moment of it. At first he didn’t want to join, because he wanted to do basketball instead, but after his first class, he was hooked.
The instructors and Master Lee are great. They’re friendly and very encouraging. The staff always has a smile on their faces. Planet Infinity also offers these Life Coaching classes that are helping my nephew learn and apply the 5 Tenets of Tae Kwon Do.
They always come out with amazing Belt Experiences, the gym doesn’t have that funky sweat smell like almost every other gym does, and more importantly they really help the kids understand that it’s not about winning medals in competitions, but being the best you can be in life. Hence the name — Planet Infinity MORE THAN MEDALS.
Oh btw, they’ve recently opened up their 2^nd gym in Daly City, CA.
