Everyone knows Starbucks. This one has a big parking lot. Plenty of seating. spacious. The same expierence you can get at any place. Baristas are efficient and friendly.

Ridiculous you say to review a Starbucks and give it five stars? Well this one is different. It is clean, spacious, friendly and shares a parking lot with a Burbank landmark: Bob’s Big Boy. There is outdoor seating on the side shielded from the harsh sun. Wifi is available inside and out. People who work here are exceedingly courteous. And the crowd is a mixture of young and old with many entertainment people but without any Hollywood obnoxiousness. The small town niceness of Toluca Lake permeates this Starbucks. And if you come here often you’ll meet people and chances are you will see them again.

Unilocal Challenge 2016: 2⁄100. This is a little Starbucks tucked away next to Bob’s Big Boy and across the street from the Falcon Theatre in Toluca Lake. My objective, as usual, was caffeine! But tasty caffeine… I utilized the mobile order on their app and these super cool folks had my Holiday Spice Flat White ready in less than three minutes. That’s what makes the mobile order app great– you type in your order on your cell phone– I do it from the parking lot– then saunter in– avoiding any line at the cash register– directly to the pick up barista and tell them you have a mobile order. Bingo! Fresh, hot coffee without standing in line! Plus I loved that they still had the Holiday Spiced flavor for the Flat White– most Starbucks are already out of it. Oh how I wish the holiday flavors would stick around longer… But I digress, try the mobile app, park in the back by Bob’s and pick yourself up a coffee before a Falcon Theatre show!

I come to read at this Starbucks while waiting around the area to meet a friend or pick up my mom. The parking lot is great, it shares a parking lot with the Bob’s next door. Just make sure you don’t come on a Friday when there’s a car show. It’s packed. Very hard to find parking on those days. The baristas here have a tendencies to not ask for your name, but that’s due to the fact that they generally don’t get that many orders at one time so they just call out the order instead. I’ve had my drinks made wrong or not to my liking a couple of times, but it is what it is. If you don’t like it tell the barista and they can correct it for you. I’m don’t like to fuss so I just take it anyways. Hurrah for Starbucks! I love their new Holiday cups, «war on Christmas,» chyea right.

Great location for a Starbucks. It is right next to Bob’s Big Boy restaurant. It sucks that they don’t have wireless chargers here because I needed to charge my phone. There is a lot of people just hanging out using their laptops and studying. The employees here are very friendly and helpful.

Starbucks really need to work on hiring friendlier and more helpful staff. The staff here were talking with each other rather than helping the long line of about 10 customers. The drinks didn’t taste fresh, the shot tasted like it had been sitting there for awhile, probably while they were talking, and I would avoid this place unless I really needed coffee. Though it’s convenient for Burbank.

Good location and friendly staff. Great amount of outdoor and indoor seating. They’re starting to consistently have stock of the new cold brew so I love that! I’ve experimented with the app ordering and although it’s not a completely smooth process, I don’t think that’s their fault. For years they’ve had a process of doing things and this new system might just need some adjustments before its perfect. It is hard to get their attention at the pick up side but its because this location is constantly busy.

So I come to the Starbucks every week day morning… And it is impossible to get any mobile prepaid order from them because the staff does not pay attention… This morning was the third time in the last week where I’ve been there and they don’t even look up long enough for you to get their attention… And then I was Snapped at by the person at the counter when I finally went and asked there for my order… And I wasn’t the only person waiting to get their attention… There was about six different drinks on the counter waiting to be picked up by people from the mobile app

This used to be my go-to location when I was living in the area and didn’t have access to the internet within my apartment. The interior has changed quite a bit since I used to hang here(2009 or so), I’d say for the better. Service is usually pleasant, sometimes a little slow, but it’s also one of the busier locations that I visit. Interesting sightings here as well, from a current pop star(I guess that is what she could be considered), to an international dance choreographer, and why not throw in a local weatherman for kicks? I’m surprised they don’t offer the Starbucks evenings menu, as I usually see a decent crowd morning until night. I feel this location would do well with that kind of thing. Parking is a free large lot in the back shared with Bob’s Big Boy, but I’d avoid Friday later in the day since they do this classic car event which will take up most of the spaces.

Not only are they slooooowwwww, but on today’s visit… they do not have the Blonde drip ready!!! They open at 430am, and they say they only start the Blonde drip at 7am!!! I have a job to go to… so now I have to wait!!! Very very mad!!! Oh, and because I have to wait, they don’t even offer me a FREE drink!!! When I ask, still NO!!! Customer service sucks today!!! Because there are some baristas that are nice, but they are not working today(629am 6÷5÷2015).

Located right next door to Bob’s Big Boy, so convenient to get that high after eating some diner food. The only drawback is the lack of electrical outlets to juice up my cell phone while enjoying my mocha.

I love the staff here! I’m here Friday, Saturday, Sunday! There are times that I don’t have time to brew a nice cup[s] of espresso from home and this place is so conveniently located next to the place I work. I think I know most of the weekend staff by name; morning and evening shifts lol. It’s just like any other Starbucks location, but truthfully everything seems much more chill here. It may be due to the many coffee shops found in Burbank, but even when there are long lines it doesn’t seem like there’s a rush to get in and get out like other places. It can be a place to sit down and actually enjoy a nice cup of coffee, do some work, and possibly even lounge around. Melanie, Jo, Rain, and Britanny are the nicest Starbucks partners I have gotten to meet from any and all locations. They definitely deserve some kind of raise or promotion. They have never failed to disappoint me in my cravings and it has gotten to the point that they remember my order. Quad shot over ice with 4 pumps hazelnut! Although I’m trying to lower the sugar intake and get only 2 pumps. But sometimes I just got to splurge:) Many people are regulars here and you can see them interacting on a very friendly basis. They take their jobs with a open smile and genuinely seem to enjoy part of what they do. It creates a very open and welcoming ambiance.

This is the worst Starbucks ever… Sunday 1-25-2015 around 2pm. 2 guys working. The«taller» guy has a knowitall attitude towards the other guy. No personality. No customer service. I blame mgmt– retrain him or let him move on to something better to match his skillset. They were out of certain coffees and special drinks. He gave an «oh well» attitude to me and other patrons. Never give this location your business.

This is a vibrant Starbucks and they generally have very good service. Stay away from Luke the Barista. He is impatient and unhelpful. I observed and he behaved condescendingly toward me. Unpleasant. The other men and female baristas have always been efficient and friendly.

I come into this Starbucks often. There is a large parking lot in the back that it shares with the other restaurants in the space. So finding parking is never an issue. Lots of tables, and nice couches and cushioned seats by the door. Plenty of tables outside as well. Just a few weeks ago, I started off at a table using the Wi-Fi with my netbook. And moved my coffee and snack to one of the cushioned seats to get comfy and read a book. Nice place to hang out.

I almost had a shabby experience here but it turned out to be awesome. This Starbucks is pretty much everything a Starbucks should be. They’ve got the free wifi. There is plenty of comfortable seating and outlets to plug your lap tops into. Outdoor seating is very nice and shaded in the daytime. It’s a hot spot! During my first experience here, I ordered a handmade soda that was forgotten. It didn’t bother me at first because I was busy working on my MacBook anyway. Then I noticed that a lot of time had passed and almost forgot that I ordered a soda. I told them about it and they looked confused briefly. They did find my soda and the barista handed me a free drink voucher. Awesome! They remedied the mistake and made me glad that it even happened! Double thumbs up!

Gotta admit, I’m a sucker for Starbucks coffee. I usually stick with the regular drip variety, but once in awhile I’ll splurge on a fancy $ 5 steaming cup of sugar and caffeine. I wound up at this particular location on the way to the Santa Monica Mountains on a Monday morning. For a minute I thought that the apocalypse had begun, the way the zombies were queued up out the door! Probably paid too much for an unappetizing breakfast sandwich and an over-ripe banana, but at least the coffee was good :-)

This Starbucks is special. «How is that possible?» you ask. You dismiss me with a flick of your wrist, «Just another Starbucks chain location, that happens to be on a cute corner in Toluca Lake.» I get it. It’s not owned by hipsters who sell gluten free muffins. Everyone is wearing a uniform, which knocks the cool factor down, and yes, it’s a chain… but Starbucks is far from a normal chain! And this Starbucks is always a little better than most! First of all, it’s spacious, and I can imagine all sorts of Hollywood types clicking away on never-to-be scripts for hours on end just to get out of the studio apartment they share with three other dudes probably hanging out there during the week. I typically go to this Starbucks on the weekends, and it’s always less than busy. I have noticed that there are always Venti cups of water with a few sprays of flowers at the counter. and I think that’s really cute! It makes the place feel a little less corporate and a little more loved by the people who work there. The people are always friendly, and fairly prompt. In the summer, I order a grande Java Chip Frappicino light with soy and an extra shot, and not only have they never screwed up my drink, they typically ask if I want the add shot blended… something that only one in maybe twenty average Starbucks baristas will think to do. They’re also as friendly and gracious as you’d expect them to be, which honestly puts them a cut above average in a city where those in the service industry are often trying to become actors or screen writers or whateves. I find myself going a little out of the way on the weekends to pop in here because it really is a little better than the average chain spot– but it might be a little nuttier during the week, hence the mixed reviews? I’ll have to ditch work one day and find out for myself.
