Visited a concert yesterday, it was good. Sound ok, the first band before main singer, was awful. Looked cheap to me. Unfortunately the audience was not the one I expected. I got spilled with beer, the beer was also on the seat; left, right, in front and behind us people got drunk and I saw that they smuggled in the hard liquor as well. No controls for bags etc. These people really were not interested in the music but in drinking and screaming(girls in high heels and heavy make up — mainly from Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines etc. would interrupt the show and walk in and out the row as they like, If you don’t move they step on your shoes). I was lucky that I got free tickets and did not have to pay $ 150. And at the end we booked an Über but LAPD or whoever is in charge of that would not allow the Über cars come up to the venue, they had us walk down the hill, at least 1,5 mile walk. All the drunk people drove their cars. No controls! And I saw everyone drinking. That was so not ok! This is the venue to get drunk, party, scream and it’s great for party people and not for people who are seriously interested in music.

I had a chance to go to Thomas Andres concert in starlight bowl on 8÷16÷15. I never like to leave one star review but this was one of the most unorganized amphetheatre I ever been. The concert was starting at 7.30 but we got late and arrive there around 8.00pm, the parking was a place that if you get in you have to go to car wash after leaving there. So we checked in and asked about our high price paid sit which we had paid to enjoy the conce but I am telling you, forget about sit or number, you will not be able to find your sit and there is nobody that can help you to get your sit back because people have been there early and it looks like a first come first serve so don’t bother to pay more than what lowest price is to pay because it was look like you can seat wherever you want. The sound system was not good what I got from this organization is that it looks like they just want to get the ticket money, they don’t care about people safety and comfort. After the concert is done, God helps you to get out of the parking lot and if you are lucky in one hour you will be down the hill. All in all, what I want to express in my review is that if you put a concert, you have to set up your staff for people safety and joy. You can not just leave the people by themselves without any rules and regulations. Hollywood Bowl And Greek Theater or staple center are where you should spend your money for a concert. This is it, no more starlight bowl.

So I just got home from the Thomas Anders Modern Talking Debut Concert and it was amazing. By that I mean he was amazing. Everything else was negative stars. We go there and parking is a mess. We are stuck in traffic just trying to park! What made the experience even worse is the fact that there was zero control and zero security of any kind. People bringing their kids while others brought 20 packs of beer. The group behind were so drunk they kept howling like stupid indians. I had to turn around and tell them to shut it for them to sit in their place. The aoustics were horendus and did Anders absolutely no justice. If this place actually spent some money on security it would of been a hell of a lot better experience. When you go to the staples center, they have people that make sure your in the right seat, but over here, no one in sight. I could of easily gone and stood right in front of Anders along with all the other people who spent a ton a money and no one would of stopped me. I spent 60 but I’d be with the people who spent 120. Which is completely stupid and very very wrong. What made the icing on the cake was when everyone was leaving the place they had the nerve to get on the microphone to remind people to please pick up their trash. Everyone is practically gone! What kind of lazy people are you that you don’t want to pick up trash. Is that not your job. I didn’t pay money to do your jobs. As we left the place I saw little kids and I remembered that it said all ages welcome. We have people bring alcohol and cigarettes and weed and your allowing kids at this place? No one supervising so anyone who is under 21 can easily get drunk and that’s should be illegal in my opinion. Little kids shouldn’t be around drunks and idiots that’s just wrong from a huge moral standpoint. I don’t care what famous person performs here, I will never be coming back. I rather spend more money and go to the staples center then be surrounded by drunk Armenians who apparently came to talk to their friends rather then enjoy the concert. As a fellow Armenian, I didn’t feel the need to get drunk, talk to my friends, or howl like an indian. I feel very sorry for Thomas Anders as he is a legend l, yet he sang at this venue. Just completely horrible. If I could give negative stars I would. Unless it’s an elmo show, PLEASEDON’T BRINGYOURKIDS.

Hmmmm. The sound and seating are good, but its hard to get past the audience. I assume this isn’t really a nursery, right? Are 3 year olds really interested in Led Zeppelin? Did you have to go to a concert to catch up with your 3 friends, sipping wine and talking louder than the music the entire time? I know the place is ‘family friendly’ but I thought maybe zepagain would be a little different. Nope, the kids were running and screaming, the middle aged women were gossiping loudly and drinking, the husbands were gone half the time getting their next beer, leaving kids unattended. I have nothing but good things to say about the band and the bowl. They have the pkg and crowd control down to a science. The sound quality is quite good and the slope of the grass makes for only good seats. Come on everyone. Bottom line, your going to a concert where others actually came to hear music. Its not Disney on Ice. I don’t blare music outside your kid’s window when he’s down for a nap. Don’t bring your unattended kids to my concert. Oh, and sthu!

I’ve been going to Starlight Bowl for many years. And this was the 2nd concert I attended this year. Last night’s experience was awful. Not sure if this has just become a place where parents can hang out, drink and let their kids run a muck, or what. But it was awful. The Latin Soul concert was not like this at all. We had kids from all directions running around, screaming, tripping over our seats and our feet, falling on us as they ran by, hitting our seats as they ran by, so we had to keep moving our legs out of the way for them, we finally decided to pull our seats as close to the people in front of us, with just enough leg room, in the hopes they would stop the running back and forth in front of us, but that did not stop them, they would squeeze right by, or run past the back of our seats and knocking into the seats, constantly!!! I got hit on the side of the head with a foam laser type sword that 2 boys were playing with right next to me, even after the one fell on me and I asked him if he could play somewhere else. His dad, sat right behind us, but never said a word or made the boys move, even after I asked them to play somewhere else. This was all going on, while we were just trying to watch the show. I’m not opposed to kids, but having kids run wide open through an already crowded area, is dangerous and irritating. I wish Starlight Bowl would designate an area at the very top of the grassy area, where if parents want to bring them just so they can run around, then they would be able to do this and not in or around or in front of the rest of us that are trying to watch the show. Or, maybe the parents can impose some rules and let their kids know, this is not a playground, it is a concert, where you are suppose to be able to kick back and enjoy the show. I’m sorry if this post will offend some of you with children, but put yourself in other people’s places. We want to enjoy the show and not have to worry about getting hit, stepped on, or listen to screaming kids running in front of us constantly while trying to enjoy the performers.

I love this location! It is so low key and relaxed! Just grab a seat on the lawn with your lawn chair and sit back with a bottle of wine and relax. Don’t forget to grab some pizza from BJ’S while you are here. I love all the acts they have and there I not a bad ee as t in the house

I took the family to watch The Fab Four, it was great show. The place was clean, had a great sound system, excellent lighting and my ice chest fit under our seats. It was very affordable, and you could bring you’re own food, beer and wine. It was easy to get in and out, and the staff was friendly.

Caught the fireworks show yesterday. The opening acts were two groups which sang mostly 60 s music. The first group was bare able. The second group played a couple of modern songs and the crowd were more into them. The fireworks came with 3d glasses. The music for the fireworks were a great combination of old and modern music. The fireworks themselves were fantastic. I would recommend this venue. Parking was 8 bucks dirt lot. You park right up to the car in front of you. Everyone leaves at the same time

We went for the 4th of July fireworks show 2015. We really liked the theater. Almost every seat is good, with a nice view of the stage. Fun bands. One of the best fireworks show we’ve ever seen! Exiting the venue is somewhat clumsy however, but I think they do it to control the volume of people confined in a pretty small area for safety reasons.

Is a very cool little place, it’s like a mini Greek theater. I went with a bunch of friends it was so much fun. We did like a picnic thing on the grass. They let you bring in alcohol and food. The tickets were not very expensive lots fun.

Music, Music and Music! If you have never been to the Starlight Bowl, please check it out! The Starlight Bowl is a great venue in which you can bring your family and friends and of course at a fabulous price. Like the Hollywood Bowl, the sound is great and you can bring your own Food, Wine or Beer. You can even dance if you are in the groove!!! The Starlight Bowl showcases great cover bands as well as established artists. I have gone for years now and I keep looking at their line-up year after year. Great place to be in the summer with your friends and family!!!

Went for the 4th of July. This place is cute and the small size is nice for viewing. It’s probably about ½ or 1⁄3 the size of the Hollywood Bowl. I wasn’t interested in the musical line up so skipped it. No big deal. We had to park up the hill from the regular parking, again no big deal because we got there late. However, the fireworks were less fantastic than I would have liked for a paid show. The musical selection was horrible and wasn’t timed to the fireworks like most shows are these days. Leaving was the worst part. I’m patient, but this was ridiculous. It took us over an hour to get 50 feet. I wasn’t expecting a quick zip out, but it was too much. I’ll opt for a different show next time.

I loved the Starlight Bowl. The reason for the 3 stars may not have anything to do with the bowl itself, but nevertheless, is related. Let me explain… There were 7 of us that went tonight. 5 of us were Asian. 2 of us were caucasian. There was a lady handing out eyeglass cloths. However, when me and my friend were walking up the slope near her she offered the two couple in front of us cloths(they were white). She skipped us, didn’t offer us the cloths, but offered the people behind us the cloths(they were also white). I didn’t think much of it… being positive. How could we be discriminated against? I’ve been here my whole life… never really been blatantly discriminated against. Then our group met up. Again, 5 of us Asian, 2 of us Caucasian. Out of our group, the 2 who were offered cloth samples were Caucasian. The 5 of we Asians were treated the same way… skipped and never offered anything. Pretty messed up if you ask me. We have never been treated this way at the Hollywood Bowl. The rest of the employees at the Starlight Bowl were so cool. I’d give 5 stars if it weren’t for that lady. I’ve never really been discriminated against… at least out here in CA, but this was so obvious it was a great reality check. My national pride… being a July 4th baby after all, my profession representing oue laws and constitution, and celebrating my birthday at the Starlight Bowl… Burbank does not represent…

Had a great time watching the Fab Four(Beatles Tribute Band). I had seats in the last row, the view was really good and was far enough away were the sound was not extremely loud. The food is pricey and tastes like it was pre-made hours in advance, but you can bring in your own food and drinks. It does get cool quickly, so bring a coat. Leave early, the streets leading to the venue are residential with lots of stop signs. The parking lot is stacked parking, so try to park by the golf course or come early. If you arrive early ask for end parking so you can leave right away. The first time i was there I was stuck trying to leave for two hours, not fun. Overall a great family fun environment for all.

This place is fun. I went for the first time, for a friend’s BD party. I didn’t think it would be my kind of scene(a lot of cover/tribute bands), but I went for my friend, to celebrate her… and in spite of my misgivings, we all had a terrific time. You can bring food, wine, which I recommend since your choices are very limited. BJ’s and San Marcos coffee. Some friends coaxed us into going for the 4th, and it was great. Everyone is friendly. Plus if you bring a family size bag of kettle potato chips, you are suddenly the most wanted belle of the ball. You share, you laugh, you bond. Lines to the bathroom are long. Caveat: Stacked parking. We waited 20 minutes in our car before we could get out. If you are in good shape, park below and walk. This is one reason why I rarely go. I can’t stand just waiting and waiting and waiting. The stacked parking, as other people note, sucks.

My family and I come here almost every 4th of July. We get a box, bring a picnic and enjoy the entertainment & Fireworks. It is a very family friendly environment, not very expensive and not overly crowded. Quick tip: Bring your own coffee, the line is always long!

First time at this venue, and wow it was great. The Starlight Bowl definitely lives up to its name, you can actually see the stars in the sky and on stage. Now if you are coming to watch an event, let’s say the Fab Four like I did, you have a couple of choices. One get here early and get one of the grass picnic areas way in the back. This option is free, but make sure you get there super early. Two, purchase tickets and get assigned seating. This second option allows you to go in when you want and you don’t have to stand in line waiting for at least an hour just to try and get a spot. Either way you get to enjoy the show. Was here to watch the Fab Four perform with done great people. One of the great things I like about this place… you can bring your own beer and wine to drink. So place a picnic, and bring that special someone in your life to watch a show. You can catch a show one of two ways, either get on their website and but some tickets(assigned seating is a defiant plus) it get here real early and get a spot on the green lawn in the back. Either way toy are sure to Getty a great show. Don’t worry about not being able to hear, because the acoustics are great. The seating are built in and backed up in a canyon, so sound had nowhere to go but to bound back to you.

I had a great time, great venue and awesome crowd. You can bring your own munchies & drinks. We had Sangria; I bit too much but we had reached our happy moment way too soon. The Band was great. Parking is a bit weird, they just park everyone stacked closed in. If you want to walk, please feel free otherwise you should wait for the shuttle that will take you closer to the parking area.

This hidden venue is as impressive as are those big ass bushes flanking the stage! It’s like a miniature Greek theatre with a lawn area at the top. It’s small compared to other venues but nonetheless impressive. For several reasons. 1.) the evident police/safety presence. 2.) NOSMOKING! 3.) the recycling areas includes a composting heap. and 4.) you can bring your own beer and/or wine and food. I was here to see the Fab Four and sat in the lawn area. It was a nice show. I mean as nice as glorified Karaōke can be and considering they kept the song list very G rated…(its a little strange that these dudes have groupies, but that’s a musing for another rant altogether.) The crowd was a mix of older people and families with their hordes of children. This place is so intimate that there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. The lawn area is so steep that at the very edge where the lawn turns into trees, you still have a good view of the stage. The only problem is really the acts or talent that this place books. Aside from the philharmonic they have Frank Stallone and Eddie Money and some other such forgettable acts. It would be awesome if some relevant talent performed here. But its probably for the best. I doubt the hipster set can go 2 hours without smoking a Parliament. The other MAJOR bummer here is the stack parking.
