There were few board games and it was pretty amazing. Good local brews perfect for their sweet potato fries, emphasis on the sweet. Yet, you have to wait for a bit long, because it easily gets packed, especially during Friday night.

This is a cool spot to grab one of a huge variety of beers and grab some bar food. I popped in the other day at around 2pm and was surprised how many people were inside. It definitely has the feel of a local bar and is a nice place to grab a bite and get caught up with a friend. Their selection of craft beer is respectable and the food is actually quite decent. Despite having to send back their version of the blooming onion(which I no longer see on the menu) because it was virtually impossible to eat(not due to taste, but because it was not cut properly), the bad ass buffalo potatoes more than made up for it! Those things are so delish they are almost addictive. #tonys #burbank #craftbeer

Probably my favorite place in LA. They always have a great beer selection and delicious vegan/vegetarian food(I’m not vegan or vegetarian but I crave the vegan buffalo chicken wrap at least once a week…)

I have been there twice now. The first time was OK because it was a little slow and we got good service. The beer was good and the food was less than average . The second time was terrible. I think the food is way overpriced. The beer is expensive but good. Very poor service and overpriced food gets this 2-Star review. I don’t know if I will ever return or not.

Super friendly service. Incredible IPA selection. Smallish menu, but as many choices for vegans as as meat eaters. As for me, I had the pork belly bahn mi and it was delicious!

Gotta love Tony’s. 4-Stars for the Great community vibe, inspiring taplist, and eclectic menu by Chef Caroline. Minus-1 Star for the broken condom machine in the men’s restroom. THEBEER: With one of the best, most comprehensive beer lists in Los Angeles, you’ll easily find a style that suits your taste. Tony’s an IPA-centric place, all made in California, but there’s another list loaded with stouts, Belgians, Barleywines, etc., in case that’s your speed. THEFOOD: Always something interesting, but keep your eye on the specials. One week the it may be the vegan-friendly seitan and sunflower Buffalo wings(hey, why not), or the gut-busting Disco Fries. For non-vegans like me, you can find an assortment of sausages and other higher-end pub food. THEVIBE: I’ve been visiting Tony’s since 2011, and it’s always a good crowd/nice bartenders. Some of the staff has come and gone over the years, but there’s always someone there to chat with and help you out. Keep your eye on Twitter or FB for the special events, too. Often, they’ll host tap takeovers with fellow California brewers, trivia and vinyl nights, etc. Personally, I love to come on the weekends and catch a late afternoon ballgame or play one of the many board games lingering around. Here, the crowd is a little more chill and you can easily find a seat somewhere. The place is kind of small, so if you show up at 9:00PM on any given night expecting to find a table/seat, you’re rolling the dice. But so it goes with popular joints. CONS: Not much. The place is definitely a money-suck(def $$$), which is the reason why we don’t go as often as we would like. 3 visits and you’re personally funding Tony’s next vacation to Maui. Additionally, if you’ve ever had anything above 8% APV served in one of their smurf tulip glasses, you can’t help but feel gipped. Yes, I get it, you don’t want to get people plowed on 1 drink, and they do serve it in the«proper stemware,» but no where else in town will you find a tulip glass the size of a thimble. All I’m asking for is an honest, 9-oz. pour. Oh, and the condom machine. I assume it’s a holdover from the old bar, pre-Tony’s Darts Away. It looks like a condom/sleaze dispenser, actually, and it’s very cool. I’ve tried my quarters many times over the years in hopes for a prize, only to find the machine broken. After finishing my thimble of Old Numbskull, all I want to do is head home and put something edible and disgusting on my girlfriend. You think I’m being funny, but I’m being really fucking serious here. Fix it and the 5th Unilocal Star is all yours, Tony.

We haven’t been this impressed with a Vegan place in, well, ever! We split an order of the vegan buffalo chicken and vegan disco fries and were so impressed we got another order of the vegan chicken and tried the Becky’s bad ass buffalo potatoes! It’s a smallish place with a few tables and an out door seating area, with a boatload of craft beers(try the Mash and the Numbskull!) split into two groups on the menu(IPA and Not IPA). It was totally worth the drive to Burbank. Definitely going back soon to try some of the other beers and dishes. The kitchen is open until 11 from Sunday through Thursday and until 1am on Friday and Saturday, there’s a rack of books and board games, and the service was fast and friendly, and prices were very reasonable.

Love love love this place! Delicious local brewed beers served by amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Vegan options galore and they never disappoint. The Disco Fries are a must! And their specials are always to die for. Around Thanksgiving they serve some seriously melt-in-your mouth cranberry brussel sprouts. Yum! The beer is top notch and the staff is always happy to help you find one to your liking. My first visit back when they opened was unforgettable. A beautiful woman with hops tattoed on her arms served me a flight and schooled me on ales and laggers. Been coming back as often as I can since. They play sports but also great music. Jukebox selection is prime and there’s tons of board games and beer books to keep you busy while you wait your turn for the pool table. They hold awesome events like chili cook offs and host DJ’s. This bar earned its place as a MUSTVISIT if you’re anywhere near Burbank! Also, there’s a cozy dog-friendly patio right out front. High paw! Warning: Of course it couldn’t be kept secret and this place gets PACKED. The locals dominate on weekends and game nights. Also, it’s street parking near residential streets so maybe be willing to walk a block or two.

Love this place, … BUT… I will shoot your jukebox. $ 510 songs and someone over powered me with the app. An hour later I put in $ 5 more and someone else over rides me. So, I over rided them with horrible music. Advice take out the thing and shoot it. Sorry guys I tried but technology wins.

While waiting for my car to get new tires, I decided some quality time at a place where I could watch a game and have a beer would be ideal. If I hadn’t already eaten a breakfast burrito at nearby Norm’s, I would’ve tried the brunch-time burrito here. Next time. Instead, I snacked on some HOUSEMADEKENNEBECPOTATOCHIPS. I had the black pepper salt ones. They give you a good amount of these crispy, greasy, piping hot chips. It’s great with beer! They weren’t showing the game I wanted on any of the TVs so I asked if they could switch channels on one of them and the bartender happily obliged. Thanks!

Tonight was my first night at Tony’s darts away I can honestly say that I was overall very disappointed it’s a complete dive bar with the most unprofessional staff they had the nerve to tell me that I couldn’t get a picture unless I was a regular so basically unless I’m an alcoholic I’m not allowed to have a pitcher of beer at this place I’ve lived in burbank for all of the year and I can say that I’ve never encountered such a piece of garbage location I mean the food itself was disgusting. Texture taste and over all quality is low but who go’s to bars for the food? Regardless I would not recommend it under any circumstances. Money is better spent on beer for your house

Cool place to chill. Board games, beer and friends on a Friday night… what more could you ask for??? Food was slightly above average. Disco fries were tasty… distinct and flavorful yet thin gravy. I would recommend getting those here. Tater tots were crispy and were seasoned just perfectly. The ranch dipping sauce was thick and had a good amount of dill flavoring, which made it tangy and tart. I shared the brat and Mexicali. The brat was good. The caramelized onions made the dish. And I probably wouldn’t recommend the Mexicali dog. Too much going on in that dog. Lots of board games like jenga, apples to apples, sorry, etc. Theres even a pool table, darts and tvs. Craft beers were good and my favorite was the velvet beer(forgot the name). Service was pretty good too. I had lots of fun playing games and having a brew. Great way to spend my Friday night.

Stopped in to Tony’s last week for a couple afternoon beers and was not disappointed. Rating is for atmosphere and beer alone as I didn’t have the food, though it did look tasty and they had good sounding options. A lot of people were getting it as well… Street parking was not difficult to find, the ambiance was divey but enjoyable, eclectic group of customers and employees, very chill, great local beer list, in all, a very good experience. There was a small but good looking outdoor spot to chill as well, though I stayed inside. I wouldn’t call this a beer destination one should seek from a distance, but if you are in Burbank/northside of LA, I highly recommend it.

Had this place always been in Burbank? So much for thinking I knew this city at the back of my hand. Beer lovers, board game lovers, easy going Friday night lovers. Rejoice! Found your spot! (Didn’t get food, so this will mostly be about beer & how unplanned Friday nights tend to go.) DRINKS: Any flight you’ve got, I’m in! I love tasters. I love having a taste or sip of everything. I love the presentation. I love the idea of 4 – 5 beers coming at you over just one plain boring glass. I like having an intro of flavors, crispness, & having a better idea of just what kind of night I’m in for. If it’s easy going, send over the ales and lagers. If it’s been a long work week, send over the IPAs! However, if I’m feeling silly or curious enough. There’s a good chance my choice of beer(s) are based on how good the name is. That evening I got: — What She’s Having — Witcraft — Oktoberfest — Golden Road Hefe All good. My favorite actually was What She’s Having and not just because of the name. So do try that & any of the others really. It was a solid choice of flight. GAMES/ATMOSPHERE: Games range from Sorry to Scrabble to the oh so popular Connect 4(perfect ice breaker for first dates, in my opinion). Which I also witnessed successful that evening alone, after I borrowed the game from what looked like a first date couple. The spot’s very unthreatening to first dates, laid back for group hangs, perfect for«nothing planned» Fridays. Calm space, easy lighting, more breathing room than most bars. Pretty much a casual(no need to dress fancy!) lounge disguised as a brewery but not big enough to be an actual brewery! Or a fancier/cleaner looking dive bar. Would definitely come back for a hang. SIDENOTE: Someone fell backwards from the stools at the bar that evening because they were sleepy and possibly had one too many. They hit the back of their head pretty hard on the ground causing all eyes and necks to turn towards the sound. The workers & bartenders were very quick on their feet and reactions. Attended to the customer, called 911 immediately, and kept the guy steady till the ambulance arrived while pausing on the bar facilities and turning the lights on to make sure everything was alright. Any bar could’ve chosen to keep serving up beers and such but they didn’t do so till the guy was stable enough to wait for help. Kudos. Heads up: — If you love craft beers, flights are always a good way to go because there’s always so many. BUT, if you know what you want then by all means go for the beer you want. — Easy street parking — Spot the«N O W P O U R I N G» sign or the umbrellas at that front wooden patio area

I keep trying to like this place, but they just won’t let me… Don’t get me wrong, their tap selection is great, it’s why I even try. But, there is a definite attitude behind the bar from almost everyone that’s ever served me. It seems like a systemic beer snobbery, and I should be lucky to purchase their pour. Talking down to your customer is not a good policy regardless of the type of business,…and I find it personally injurious for I actually have a bit of knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject; I’ve sampled craft beers around the world, seriously, I’ve made travel plans specifically to visit breweries across this nation, and around the world. Also, just to further prove my beer appreciation prowess, I live off of Route 78 in North San Diego, what those who know refer to as The Hop Highway. There are more micro breweries in my neighborhood(that I visit regularly) than anywhere else, except maybe for Portland, Brooklyn, and certainly all of Belgium. Here’s another thing I find lame: While some brew pubs may charge more for high alcohol pours, and some will use a smaller vessel instead, they don’t do both simultaneously. It’s one or the other, and the breaking point is usually around 8% alcohol. I just ordered a 5% beer, and was handed a tulip instead of a pint. When I had the audacity to ask why, the hipster behind the bar explained that it’s a rare brew, and a pint would cost more, about $ 8 instead of the $ 6.75 that they try to limit their charge to. Ugh. Charge me the extra buck, or don’t, just give me a proper pour, it’s only a 5% brew. This is a great example of the new beer snobbery that steers me away from a douchey pub like this. And, if there were any doubts,…as I’m typing this, trying to enjoy my diminutive serving on the patio while the last rays of sun drop,…a gal comes up to me and tells me I have to vacate the table because a party is coming. Seriously??? Done, I’m out! …hey, an update here: I just split, and drove a dozen blocks west, I found a dynamite dive bar called The Snug, go read my review! It’s happy hour, and I just ordered a 7% Stone, it was served in a pint, and cost $ 3.75! That’s 30% more beer at approximately 40% less cost. Tell me, where should you drink at?

Such a fun place. So many beers, and so many vegan options. I love the food here. The staff is knowledgeable about all the beers on hand, and are quick to make suggestions. The coolest thing about this bar, is that all the beers are on tap, and from California. It’s hard to get a list together like this. There are also many fine selections from Golden Road which the owner of this is a part of as well. The food is good, and there are some«secret» menu items. I enjoy all the vegan options. The sausage with the mango however is missing something. Not quite sure what but … something… Anyway, get here! A great stop outside the touristy parts of Burbank!

We went there for St Pattys day. I wanted to go to a bar, but not an Irish bar because those were going to be way too crowded. And I liked the selection of sausages and food I saw when I looked at Tonys Darts Away website. Even on a busy day like St Pats, I found street parking. And even though the place was crowded, they were still very organized and got the food and drinks to us promptly. We just went up and ordered, and then they brought the food to our table. Very fun crowd for the St Pats holiday. Many people playing pool, and very friendly. A very fun place with good food.
