I’ve been going to Dr. Wassem for 14 years or so. I found him because I’d started a new job with new insurance. His office was right by my work. I called the office just to get a feel for the place, boy was I surprised when he answered the phone himself! He explained that he didn’t have a receptionist, I asked if he had a hygienist, answer: no; does he have a technician, answer: no! He does all the cleaning, xrays as well as the actual dentistry care. I asked him what he did if he was with a patient and the phone rang, answer: answering machine(simple really). I appreciated his idea and was intrigued, I had to try it at least once. Well, soon I was singing his praises and before long three others from work started going and spoke highly about him as well. When you call for an appointment and he’s there, he opens an appointment book and books you, no receptionist fiddling with the computer, trying to «squeeze you in» etc. I usually get the exact time that’s best for *me*(imagine that!). If you make an appointment for 10 a.m., you come in sit down, he greets you, goes to get your file and wash his hands, etc. and by 10:05 you are in the chair! For regular checkups I’m usually in and out in 30 or 35 minutes. All those conveniences are great, but would mean nothing if he weren’t so kind, gentle, and patient. Not only that, but he is meticulous in his work. He is never rushed because he doesn’t have 17 other people to see that hour. After a while I quit that job in Burbank and it was no longer convenient to go to Burbank to see him. I thought, «there are 5,000 other dentists between my home and Burbank, this is silly!» Welp, I literally tried four other dentists in my own zip code and decided it was well worth the inconvenience of a 15 minute drive for Dr. Wassem. If you live or work close and need a dentist, do yourself a favor and give him a try, I think you’ll be very happy with his services for years to come. PS:(oh and there’s plenty of free street parking, or you can use the lot an get a token from him for like $ 1).
