An apt name for the establishment ring true… Glory Days… days of past glory. Due to consistent bad service over a span of a week, I will go elsewhere in the future. In the Springfield/Burke area, there was not many choices, Glory Days provided good American cuisine in a sports themed restaurant. The last time I visited, it was enjoyable… my last two visits over a week has changed my perception and I will not be visiting again — in fact, I will be driving to Springfield Mall where there are many more delectable options with better service. My first visit was on 26 Jan/Tuesday, during the tail end of the long snow inspired weekend. My buddy and I ventured out for a late lunch. As expected, it was busy so we sat on the bar, received our drinks, and waited for our bartender/server to return so that we could order our food. We waited, waited, and waited. My buddy put his name on the waiting list for a table because we were hungry and could not get anybody’s attention. Ten, fifteen minutes passed and we finally got the attention of the bartender/server where we were able to order food. I ordered the Tuesday taco special and my buddy ordered one of their special burgers. After receiving our food, the next time the bartender/server returned was when she noticed that our drinks were empty. Food good, service not so good. The next visit was on 31 Jan/Sunday and I visited with my wife. Again, service was consistently inept. After taking our drinks and food order, we could not find our server. We had to ask another for water. There was only two of us, yet our food order were mixed up… can we have more water please? The next time we saw our server was when he dropped off the bill while we were in still in the middle of eating… Needless to say, food and drinks are decent, service definitely needs to improve. I will not be returning, I will drive elsewhere for better service — or at least to an establishment where I will be appreciated.

The food and décor are pretty standard sports bar fare, but has a nice local clientele. They have a few healthier entrees like fish tacos and salmon. It’s a good place to take kids. Could use an update.

This neighborhood waterhole is growing on me. If you’re a Burke resident, you’ll inevitably end up here soon. SERVICE The bar staff and wait staff are super chill. I would not consider myself a regular, but I have noticed that with my infrequent visits the bar staff seem to remain the same. Lots of regulars/locals too. FOOD A pleasant surprise– It’s a bar, serving bar cuisine, but they do have something for everyone. Monday– Burger Night Tuesday– Taco Night Wednesday– Fish Fry HH Drink and Food Specials Tons of TVs. On any given sporting night, the bar will be full. Glory Days doesn’t really have a lot of competition, but it’s nice to see the additional efforts that they put in to keep patrons coming back.

Came here with my friend for dinner on a Thursday night. The waiter was very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. I ordered the Glory Burger(medium well) with caeser salad on the side and my friend ordered the thanksgiving special sandwich(which the waiter recommended) with fries. First off, the burger was kind of dry at the ends which made it hard to swallow. But other then that a fried egg in a burger was delicious! Second, the turkey sandwich thing was just plain odd. It had two slices of bread and top of that they had some kind of turkey lunch meat with butt loads of stuffing. It was very salty because there was too much stuffing and the bread was all soggy from the gravy… It’s okay to eat if you’re a big fan of Thanksgiving but that’s just too much stuffing to actually make anything out of it. We can ONLY taste the stuffing :(

Sometimes the staff isn’t great help, especially on a busy night when the place is packed. But overall it ain’t that bad. It’s a decent place to catch a game if you’re in Burke. The food’s pretty good too, especially the burgers.

Tried this place last night. I got the cheeseburger trifecta(three cheeses) with fries, hubby got the glory burger that comes with bbq sauce, onion straws, and fried egg. The food was delish and I loved the fries. The server was very attentive and continued to fill my husband’s iced tea and even promptly brought him the dip he requested for his fries. I feel like I inhaled my food. It was a Monday night but I didn’t feel the place was overly crowded. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was freezing inside and my husband and I both had to get coats from our car just to be comfortable. Overall not a bad experience.

Stopped in for a late lunch with my daughter after her soccer game. I regret that choice! We were seated immediately, but sat for over 15 minutes before a server approached our table. My meal arrived, but not my daughter’s…And, no drinks. Then, my daughter’s meal arrived, ANDSTILLNODRINKS. Finally, our drinks arrive, and my Peach Iced Tea tastes like watered down tea with a barely noticeable hint of peach. I changed to Diet Coke. The food was typically average, but my daughter’s dried out mashed potatoes was a new low. We have given this place numerous chances, but it’s always been a poor experience with the food or service, or both. Even discussion with a manager on several occasions had yielded an even more unpleasant experience, and confirmed that they are not interested in continued business from a family of five. My visit today was my last charity visit to Glory Days… They can keep their crappy processed food, and I’ll take my money elsewhere!

I had one bad experience but got a pleasant email from management so I’m bumping my review back up to 4 stars for now. Will update once I try the place again. Ps the boneless chicken wings are worth getting.

They have a gluten-free menu, and they do it right! Caution: The gluten-free buns have dairy. Excellent burgers(especially if you upgrade to the USDA Prime). I love how you can customize your burger. The fries are great! Gluten-free beer and hard cider ONTAP! Service is good. The food does take a while to come out(probably because it’s always packed, so they are always busy!). This IS a sports restaurant, so there are TVs EVERYWHERE with every game you’d want to watch. Each table has a speaker box which you can tune to hear a TV. Too bad the TVs aren’t numbered, so you really don’t know which channel to tune your speaker box to. Also, the restaurant is SO loud, that you really can’t hear your speaker well anyways… so we just keep the speaker off, and enjoy the ambiance. I called to make a reservation, and the gentleman took my name and said the table would be ready when I arrived. When I arrived, the lady had no record of my name nor my reservation. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, I recommend not sitting near the door, nor in a clear pathway to the door. With how busy this place is, the door is open more often than it’s closed; and every time I’m there there’s someone smoking a cigarette directly outside the door… which causes me to be grossed out throughout my meal.

This place has terrible customer service… When I walked in to get my carry out order, the hostess said«just go to the bar.» The bar was busy so it took about 10 mins to get the bartender’s attention. Meanwhile, the host is sitting and chatting it up with her co-worker(could she not grab the food or the bartender’s attention??). When I finally got the bartender’s attention, he was not very friendly/rude. I’m a local and this bar is great for sports fans who want to see a game but I would not recommend it for most people because it’s always loud and usually an unpleasant, cramped atmosphere.

Safe foods are generally fantastic; burgers, ribs, etc. They often toss in seasonal menu items that tend to be a bust though. Also pretty loud, but very convenient that they’re open late in this area.

The service was very efficient and the staff was very friendly. The beers are well prices and the mugs are at least 20 oz. I ordered the All American Burger and it came out fresh and well presented. I’d definitely return to this location.

I have to rate then a 4 just for the buffalo wings alone. I’m picky about how my wings are. The wings have to be slightly crispy and the sauce has to be right. I prefer their buffalo sauce which used to be the hottest sauce they offered until they came out with a hotter sauce which is a different flavor. I used to go there more frequently and the waiters would recognize me as the guy who chows down 50 wings at once, but I have to watch my cholesterol more these days. My only complaint is the interior. Unlike the Centreville Glory Days where the bar is off to the side, here the bar is in the center, so whenever I sit in a booth seat, I don’t have as good of a view of the TVs on the walls.

We hadn’t been to Glory Days in several years but I had a couple of gift cards so we decided to go on a recent Friday night. Husband and I split an order of fried pickles which were really good and generous. I went for a half rack of ribs and fried shrimp with mashed potato side. It came with cole slaw, but I’m not a fan. It was probably good if you like cole slaw. Looked fresh. The ribs were melt-in-your mouth good, the shrimp was delicious, the mashed potatoes creamy, buttery goodness. Husband said his buffalo chicken sandwich and fries were great. Our waitress, Jordan, was super cute, funny, friendly, excellent service. Made some truly good puns(which we’re suckers for). We’ll definitely be back again soon. Just fyi, it’s a sports bar and rather noisy, so if you’re not into that it could be a problem. But that noise level also makes it a great place to go if you have noisy kids.

GOOD: –Grass fed beef on the menu. –Lots of TV’s. –Food is pretty decent. BAD: — Very crowded, long wait if there is a good game on. — Sometimes you have to walk through a smoke cloud from patrons and employees smoking outside the front door. — Fox News is on every 5 or 6thTV. Its a little odd to have non-sports on the TV’s in a sports bar. It’s even weirder to have a channel like Fox which, based on electoral data, could be deemed offensive to a large portion of patrons in this area. What democrat or independent wants to watch non-stop Obama is the Devil propaganda while eating out at a sports bar?
