Four major issues with this place. 1. ASBESTOS!!! main reason we are moving out! We found out that the«popcorn» ceilings in each unit contain a massive amount of asbestos! Think its not a problem? Think again. During the time we lived there we found tons of small flakes of this falling off. shutting doors, closing the blinds. etc etc. Issue #2: GIANTRENTHIKES every year! $ 1800 first year $ 2850 second year. Now they want $ 3,550 for a 1 bedroom. We’re moving out. What is interesting is there is a new unit who just moved in and is only at $ 2,650. They get you in and then they increase the rent at the first opportunity. #3. It is either freezing in the winter or 1000 degrees in the summer(even if its 70 degrees outside its super hot inside) the apartments are like magnifying glasses and the units get insanely hot. Winter is the opposite. Electric baseboard heat and zero insulation means your paying $ 300 to $ 450 per month to heat the place. Issue #4: ZERO maintenance. Everything is «temporarily repaired». Elevators are broken on weekly basis. Washer & Dryer are constantly broken. Massive trash piles in the parking garage from people who moved out and leave their trash furniture in the garage. Pool is cleaned twice a year. Windows are never cleaned. hallways are rarely(twice a year –maybe) cleaned.

Great place to live. My apartment was very nice, recently updated /remodeled, very big(1100 square feet for a 2 bed 2 bath) with huge closets and huge bedrooms, and windows across one entire side of the living room and one entire side of the bedroom. Price was $ 2200 a month which is pretty reasonable for the area considering the square footage. And you can’t beat the location — right downtown, walking distance to everything! I walked to restaurants, grocery, haircuts, car maintenance appointments, hardware store, post office, library, CalTrain — you don’t need your car at all! The CalTrain horn was audible from the apartment every now and then, but not a big nuisance. They only have parking under the building for one car per apartment, but they have a street parking program so you can park up to 2 more cars on the street(only costs $ 50 a year for 2 parking passes!). The maintenance staff were great guys, and could fix anything quickly. Only downside of the building is the elevators are kind of slow. Management changed a few times while we were there but the current manager is now very responsive and helpful for any and all concerns the residents have. We loved living here and only moved because we bought a place.
