I found Kathy through another therapist who had come highly recommended. I am so glad I did. After moving from out of state, I desperately needed someone to help me with the behavioral problems I was experiencing with my 5-year-old. I came into her office at the end of my rope, feeling like I had tried everything and nothing was working. Right away Kathy gave me hope and things I could implement right away. I appreciated how she listened in such a nonjudgmental, empathetic way. Over the span of a several months, Kathy worked with us both. I really believe that what she taught me, even more so than what she taught him, brought peace back into our house and helped restore our relationship. It’s now been a few months since we last saw her, and when we start getting off-track, I think, what would Kathy say? :-) My son and I now have the relationship I always hoped we’d have. And I am even using her advice with my 2-year-old. I now realize, we’re all novices when we begin parenthood and each of us needs a mentor like Kathy! I am so grateful for the real-world tools she gave us that I’ll carry with me always.
