Mills-Peninsula Health Services Lab & X-ray

This is a 5 star lab and process, only down a star for the extreme difficulty it was to:
1. Get the right prescription from my doctor that the lab would «use» to book an appointment, and
2. Get an appointment within a few days because they were booked, but I needed an emergency lab appointment, not being forced by Mills Peninsula to wait two weeks.
Otherwise, top shelf professional. I found the xray lab room in the hospital after parking absolutely the furthest I could from the room. BTW, they have FREE parking, none of this City parking fees.
They had my appointment and no waiting for a wonderful lab tech who took my right in. The procedure wasn’t pleasant and they could improve it by: giving gowns to patient so their clothes don’t get all goopy with the ultrasound gel and then having warm, wet washcloths not just try toweling to get that goop off. I had to wash ALL my clothes from the process.
Otherwise, I have had only good interactions with Mills Peninsula Hospital and labs in the past 3 years.

Am I the only weirdo that likes x-​rays? Well regardless the reason you’re in there, and despite what put you into that predicament to order an x-​ray in the first place, this x-​ray lab is pretty efficient.
I’ve had x-​rays taken here several times. The first was for my plantar fasciitis and I had to stand up while they x-​rayed my foot from several angles. My podiatriast requested they give me the images so they did. No hassle. When I brought the images to my podiatriast, he was able to identify my bone spurs. So I guess that was a success that the lab was able to take clear images of whatever my podiatriast was looking for.
Second time I had an X-​ray was because I came into the ER thinking I had a sprained ankle when in reality I had fractured my ankle. They wheeled me into the same x-​ray lab I’ve been to before. This time I was to lay down and the bed was lowered for me so I could hop onto it. The camera was up above and they lowered it to take several photos of my foot. I was worried the tech would hurt me moving my foot around at different angles to take the photos but he was very careful and gentle about not moving my ankle and it was painless. He also had a tech double check his images before he released me which reassured me that my pictures were done properly. My photos revealed a fractured ankle. Thank you to the filipino or chinese kid with glasses that took my photos and wheeled me there and back safely. Everything was done efficiently. I don’t remember his name but give that kid a raise. Lol
