My husband and I had our wedding bands made here last winter. The owner was knowledgable, funny, helpful, and worked with us despite a somewhat limited notice. His price was competitive and his store well-​organized and beautiful. Our simple gold matching bands are exactly what we wanted and they mean even more to us because they came from such a lovely local artist.

Today I received my silver bangle from Fire & Metal. It is their classic design — I wore one almost every day in the mid 80’s through the mid 90’s, when it was stolen. I really wanted another one, because the design is so elegant, so when we visited our daughter at UVM in May, I ordered one. Doug helped me with the size, and kept me updated on the progress. He mailed it to me in Pennsylvania, and it came just when he said it would. As soon as I put it on, I remembered why I loved it so much. I wore it when I was in my 20’s and 30’s; I’m in my 50’s now and it still looks great. So beautiful and elegant, and wonderful quality for the price. Stop by the store if you are in Burlington.

My husband and I got our wedding bands made here. The owner was incredibly friendly and our rings were beautiful. There was some miscommunication about the design, but we were happy with the result so we didn’t bother discussing it with him. We also had an issue about them not being done when he said they would be, which was a tad frustrating since we live in Montpelier, but they were done the second time he said they would be :) I selected pricey, but hey, any nice jewelry store is right?

Just like the last post, I to wandered into Fire & Metal and I fell in love with the bangles and flat silver stud earrings that look like plugs. The couple that owns the shop are extremely nice and even told me they could custom make something if i had a design in mind.
I have listed them as pricey, but it depends on what you purchase but the
quality is amazing and I highly recommend stopping in. You get what you pay for in quality and service :-)

About four years ago I visited Burlington, VT and wandered into Fire & Metal to browse. I didn’t buy anything, but the owner commented on a ring that I wore. This past fall, I returned to Burlington and remembered how much I loved the jewelry at the shop. When I went in and started to look at some pieces, the owner remembered me by my ring! I bought three pairs of handmade silver earrings and a beautiful handmade silver bangle. I can’t think of a type of business where I would rather spend my money.
