I am giving this 5 stars, cause It’s pretty good for Burlington IA. They have hot chili oil as a condiment, prices are on point, and they made my food spicy like I asked um to.

I was here on business and wanted something to go that was close to my hotel. Got the Mongolian beef based on the Unilocal reviews with fried rice. The cashier was very nice, and even went the extra mile to get me a paper plate. Rice was not fried, and I really do not know what the beef was in the dish. It was limp, and had some kind of breading. The more I thought about it, the delusions of, «What could this meat be?» became powerful enough to end my meal still hungry. I gave it two stars because it is probably the easiest Chinese place I have ever placed a to go order at, and the cashier was sincere. I would not recommend the food, based on my experience with this dish.

Love this place. It’s a must on my places to eat every time I come back to Burlington to visit. Yes it has changed some but is still pretty good place to eat and reasonably priced.

The buffet was tasteless, & salty. I have had better«Chinese» at Hy-Vee. Terrible. I went on a Tuesday night so I figured it would fresh considering the place was not busy. I believe they just put out all the leftovers from the weekend.

Ok, I get it. This is not NYC. I don’t expect anything amazing or even authentic, just something for dinner. I ordered beef and broccoli, stir fry strain beans and Mapo tofu. Both the tofu and beef were too sweet. And the sauce for the beef was super thick. Mapo tofu was supposed to be spicy but I couldn’t taste it at all. The whole beef dish was wasted because no one could eat it(nasty). Disappointing.

A not a bad place for Chinese food for SE Iowa. Not as overly large selection of choices on the buffet, but enough to please most. Food was always hot and fresh. Watched them bring out refill after refill to the buffet table during my time there. Besides your typical Chinese food, they also had chicken wings, tater tots, plenty of fresh fruit variety, and desert bar. Wings were amazingly good. AYCE buffet plus menu ordering and take out.

We had lunch special… chiken chop suey which came with chicken leg/wing and egg drop soup. The soup was so so, and the chicken was nothing spetacular. The chop suey was very good. I have visited many chinese restaurants. The greatwall is one of the best so far. Do I go back? Yes, anytime.

Granted, the food here has been Westernized like nobody’s business but even then, there are several must-try dishes. 1. Mongolian Beef– I’ve tried finding this stuff at other places but so far nowhere else really compares. Perfect with some rice. 2. Chicken Wings– I know, I know. A Chinese place with awesome wings? But it’s true. I don’t know the blend of spices or how they batter this stuff, but every time I’m in town, it’s like CRACK. I can never eat enough of these. Especially when they’re fresh. 3. Cashew Chicken 4. Soups 5. Crab Rangoons [only because they’re the biggest and cutest I’ve seen anywhere]. A lot of the other stuff isn’t as noteworthy, though it’s well done. Typical fare– green beans, chow mein, fried crabmeat. I’ve been here on and off since I was little, so there’s a lot of nostalgia there too. Another thing I like about this place is how authentic the décor is– flown in from China, you’ve got these awesome ceiling tiles and pictures and dividers. And let’s not forget the water crystal music! :sigh: Burlington… you may be small, but you hold such a piece of my heart.
