I wanted a sundae so we looked up ice cream places and found this… We were stunned to find them outside of Cape Cod to begin with but my word… BESTBANANASPLITEVER… So amazing. I ran up to the counter before we left to get a to go cup of black raspberry for people we were staying with and the sweet girl actually asked how my banana split was… with a huge smile. Talk about great service!

Was there with my kids and mom yesterday. A returning customer but unfortunately it may be the last time. Great ice cream and service but it’s simply too expensive. We all got kiddie cups and the 3 kids got a topping. It was $ 27.00. That averages over $ 5.00 per«kiddie» cup. It’s outrageous. Taking your kids out for ice cream should be a treat not a luxury. A single scoop of ice cream with a crushed Oreo on top is not worth over $ 5.00. The owner will likely say it’s «competitive» with other ice cream parlors. That doesn’t make it right.

Just went in for a kiddie size frozen yogurt cup. With tax, it was 4.50. The cup was filled level, not overflowing like many competitors do. I’m sorry, but that is just exorbitant and greedy pricing. Where I live North of Burlington, kiddie cups at local ice cream shops run 3.50INCLUDING tax. If I were to toss $ 0.50 in the tip jar, that would bring my total to $ 5. Absurd. The ice cream and yogurt are delicious but the pricing structure needs to be changed.

I was there yesterday and ordered a quart and after I asked the associate wearing eye glasses to add a small scoop of peanut butter madness on top of my stacked quart, she replied with the dumbest suggestion: «I can but I’ll have to take a scoop out of your quart.» I was laughing so loud and I don’t know what she was going to do with that scoop if I said yes… Would she add it back to their ice-cream buckets? That’s simply disgusting. Before I leave, I wanted a lid for my quart and she kept me waiting 10 minutes, even though she saw me, to give me the lid. Very very rude employees. It was a very bad experience yesterday and you should at least treat your customers with respect since they’re paying 3 times the average price for ice cream. Never coming back again.

Always a pleasure, I always make a stop to this ice parlor wh3n I’m in the Burlington, Ma. area the staff is very homely and friendly. They have great selection of flavors and make you any kind of Sunday you can think off and don’t forget the sampling of different flavors.

Pretty good ice cream, they make it all as far as I can tell and they have a wonderful staff, tons of flavors, mixins and toppings. Their ice-cream cakes are intense too — not for the faint of stomach!

Our second visit from New Jersey on our Massachusetts visit. Very loud, causal atmosphere– I think it was a winning middle school football celebration. The ice cream is delicious and the service is so friendly and accommodating. No grumbling at all when we mentioned a nut allergy. Such nice young people working there ! We love to search out home made«Mom and Pop» ice cream places and this is one is a gem. Perhaps the locals might take it for granted but we out-of-towners really liked it.

I returned to the Schoolhouse and I was pleasantly surprised to see that things have improved. This is now one of the better ice cream joints in the area.

Not only does School House have the friendliest staff and the cutest decorations, it has the WORLDSBESTPEPPERMINTICECREAM! I have tried Mint ice cream at several places and this was by far the best. Such a great summer dining experience, I would highly recommended School House to any ice cream or light lunch lover!

Took my two girls for slush, they wanted cotton candy cause it was listed on the website but they only had two flavors. That was fine. What wasn’t fine was that they charged $ 4.20 for a children’s slush!!! When I ordered, she asked a children’s and I said yes, your smallest. Then when I was rung up for $ 8.40, I asked how much a slush was and she said it’s $ 4.20 no matter what you order. I don’t think slush would be the same cost as ice cream. Also the slushes were huge but then I saw someone with a tiny cup of ice cream so I don’t know where they messed up but I won’t be returning. Felt robbed! My kids didn’t even like the slush, they took about 10 bites, if that. Next day we went some place else for slush, $ 4.17 for two slushes that were just slightly smaller.

Okay, the ice cream is pretty good. But there are two things that deter me from ever wanting to come back here: 1) The Prices, a medium frappé is SEVENDOLLARS! I can get an entire quart of organic ice cream for seven dollars. Their prices are so small you don’t notice you are being charged seven dollars until you took your first sip and they gave you your total, at which point you are forced to give them your money. 2) The parking lot on Sundays has these old guys sitting in chairs trying to show off their antique cars like the people in Burlington care. It kind of detracts from the«School House Ice Cream» and creates an unwanted atmosphere

I took my granddaughter there today on our way to her gymnastics practice at Brestyans. I was totally shocked to pay $ 4.82 for a small chocolate soft serve ice cream yikes. Even more than Kimball Farm in Westford where they make their own ice cream as well. I ordered a hot dog. It was cold with no toasted roll. I brought it back to be cooked. Why not grill the roll and let the customer put how much mustard and relish they want? Too much of each condiment. Far too pricey for me.

Wonderfully smooth ice cream. Had mint chip and mocha chip. Both had very generous chocolate chips(about the size of a dime thick). Light tasting, perfect treat after a long day. Decent portion and everything looked very fresh. Would be dangerous if I lived closer to it :)

We found Schoolhouse via a random search when we were craving ice cream while doing random errands in Burlington, and it’s become our go-to ice cream shop. The ice cream is very good with a good selection. My favorite flavor is Sticky Bun Pie, which they don’t have very often. The hot fudge is always hot with a nice texture. And the kiddie cup is so large, it could feed two adults! The staff is always friendly, and the tables inside and benches outside always feel inviting.

I’m here all the time for lunch and can’t get enough of their Triple Chocolate Cookie ice cream. NOMNOMNOM. So yeah, the portions are how they should be; JP Licks should be embarrassed. They use super high quality ingredients(high butter fat %) and it shows. It’s just awesome ice cream, and with a great selection. They also do sandwiches, which people don’t always realize. I go for the melts(chicken salad with provolone) and they really do it right. Enough cheese to know its there, nice and full, and pressed to golden perfection. The lunch special comes with a drink, chips, and a small cup of ice cream, which is the perfect treat for an ice cream junkie who would otherwise be ordering their huge kiddie size portion constantly. To top it all off, the owners and their staff are fantastic. It feels like you’re just hanging out at your friend’s place and a lot of people know each other. I highly recommend this place. Since I work across the street it’s my de facto fallback for when I don’t pack a lunch. Hope to see you there!

My kids love it here. Fun atmosphere — chalkboard for kids and trivia facts on board to read. Lots of ice cream and frozen yogurt choices but the ice cream is just average. Overall I would say — great for kids, ehh for people that like a good homemade ice cream. Not creamy enough for me. Very pricey If I had the option, I would give it a 3.5

Love the flavor selection here. They have all the classic flavors and a big selection of unique flavors. We ended up trying Kahlua Krunch and Pecan Pie. Tasted like the name yet in a nicely balanced ice cream. The pecan pie had large pecans in it(nice!).There are a bunch of other flavors we want to try. They had a baklava(middle eastern pastry dessert) ice cream when we went which sounded really interesting. This shows just how creative they are with their flavors. The ice cream is homemade by the owners and everything about this shop screams local including the crowd of teenagers. There is a lot of seating which is nice because there’s nowhere to sit outside. Prices are a bit steep at about $ 4.50 for a small(which is a pretty massive 2 scoops), and there’s no real competition around for actual ice cream.

Pretty great little place that serves ice cream and meals! The interior is cool — it’s really shaped like a schoolbus with comfy lounge chairs and handwritten boards on sporting events and quirky –did you know– fun facts.(Did you know 50% of the time squirrels forget where they’ve hidden the nuts?) I’ve only tried their ice cream — really a lot better than the franchised ice cream places like cold stone, etc. The texture is super smooth and creamy, there is no chunkiness or interlaced ice, even when it gets slightly melted at room temperature and refrozen together, it still maintains the perfect texture. The frozen yogurt though — is way too sweet and not enough yogurt-ish for my taste, I would stick to somewhere else for the froyo. They are frequently on livingsocial and groupon — sometimes you can snag their deal of $ 5 for $ 10 of ice cream by using $ 5 promotional codes and it’s essentially free! Only works for their ice cream and sundaes though.
