Staff is always friendly and helpful. Can’t go wrong with the basics like hotdogs and cheeseburgers. Fries are nothing special but I would recommend getting tator tots instead. Ranch is great and sweet tea is perfect. The building isn’t a ritz carlton but it’s serves its purpose as a fast food grease provider!

I eat here regularly and the staff don’t even have to take my order. The place is regularly packed at lunch. I’ve not had anything bad, but I am happiest with the basics. Portions are generous. Service is attentive. Great place for kids. Get the hot fudge sundae to finish up.

2 dog All the Way(ATW) basket today which is all I come here for. The dogs are red and and the toppings are appropriate and as expected. They are portioned just right not to make a mess. The bun is very softy(steamed) and the slaw has a little sweetness to it that goes well with the bite of the onions. The Pepsi is served on the crumbled style ice which is best to me over cubes(wow, I reviewed on ice) in styrofoam cups :( I am a fan of crinkle cut fries since my parents raised me in a bowling alley. But I have to say that these fries are pretty crappy; meaty, yes as they should be, but mushy as they should not be. I load them with ketchup to ease the pain. I think it’s $ 6 well spent. The décor is dated, in this case that’s cool. Some music instead of the 19″ tv filling my ear with talk shows would be much better. This is a place that I like even with its shortcomings. I will always come back.

This place has been around forever, it seems, started by the Skidmore Family back in the 50’s, I guess. Nothing fancy here, just a Hot Dog/Hamburger joint with a few plates, a variety of sandwiches, salads, and even Spaghetti. The interior is worn and tired looking, but the place is clean. I’d stick to the sandwiches — they are generally good, generally a nice value. The Cheeseburger($ 2.20) is a very good café style burger, meaning it is smaller than some burger. The taste of the one here is nice. The Hot Dog is really, really good here, and a real bargin at $ 1.69. This is a classic Southern Chili Dog, with a red weiner, great tasting chili, and a gooey bun. The Chopped BBQ Sandwich($ 3.50) is nice, though definitely not cooked in house. It probably is Hursey BBQ’s commercial product — ironic, since Hursey’s Restaurant is right across th street, literally. The Fish Sandwich($ 2.99) is not a memorable taste of the ocean, and I’d pass. Most of their sandwches are offered in a basket, which simply adds FFs. I’d pass on those as well, they are pretty bad. The single Hot Dog Basket goes for $ 2.69, which means you’re paying a $ 1 for some really bad fries. The Grilled Cheese($ 1.95) is good, but then again, it is hard to screw that sandwich up. We’ll stop in again.

Only been here once but for under 6 $ I got a BBQ sandwich, loaded w yummy NC chopped BBQ, standard crinkle cut fries(hot and crispy) and slaw on the side(fresh and tasty). Eat in or take out, old style greasy diner, but service was extremely fast and efficient and food was great. Just wish they had put a little container of NCBBQ sauce in my bag as the BBQ needed a little.
