This will mark my first review after using Unilocal for several years. I was looking for a place to learn Krav Maga, a form of hand to hand combat, and I came here. The first lesson I received was from a competent instructor so I return for a second. While I was waiting with the class for the session to being I was told by the other students, «Ugh, the other instructor is here.» After several minutes of people going on about how much they like the other instructor and dislike the one we were about to have I asked, «Is he really as bad as the other is good?» and the response was a polite way of saying, «Yes». I didn’t think much of it as I’ve been to several boxing gyms, workout gyms, etc. and none of them were that bad. Well, after about 20 minutes of running around and very little training I became leery of the value of coming. After a few more minutes I was lying on my back performing some new exercise when all of a sudden the trainer(who’s also the owner it turns out) is sitting on top of me showing how I can be held in place. No warning, no request for permission, just sitting on top of me. At that point I got up, told him he had no business sitting on top of me without my permission, and then noted that if he had done as much to one of girls in the glass they would have been hysterical — one of which was two months pregnant. This center sucks. For Krav Maga training check out the numerous ones around Greater Boston, you’ll have better luck.
