This Montgomery County Library is in the same parking lot as the community recreation center with the same name. I don’t know who this woman was, but she must have left a pretty penny to the county or was a standout in the community. Both red bricked buildings are very attractive. The library has huge skylights which let in a lot of natural light; great for reading! There is a single service desk for both the adult and children’s section. I guess that’s for budgetary reasons, and that’s better than reduced library hours. A bonus here is that they have Sunday hours! It may be only four hours(1 – 5), but that’s great is you need something, or if you want a place to tutor. They have two tutor rooms available. I believe they are first come, first serve. I stopped in to pick up some tax forms, and to peruse the Children’s book area. I like the way they group and label the Young Readers’ series with standout titles. I only wish they had more of each book in the collections. I mean, only one A-Z Mysteries book? I think I need to visit a Goodwill shop to find what I need for my reluctant reader of a student. This library is a bit(and then some) out of the way for DC city dwellers(not Metro accessible), but it’s great for those bibliophiles that live nearby.
