Amazing food!!! Delicious down to the last bite… Seriously leaves you craving for more. I went here with friends… Chef/owner was very helpful in recommending items on the menu. My only gripe… Where’s the restroom for customers? You have to eat with your hands here and I always need to wash my hands anyway before I eat. They took me to a deli next door to use their restroom?! Serious flaw in what would be an otherwise excellent establishment.

We have eaten here quite a few times in the last couple of months both in the restaurant and takeaway, while the food was undeniably delicious and without doubt at the time of opening the best and most enjoyable place in the area for good quality healthy food, the standards have dramatically dropped over the last month or so(tough, poorly marinated lamb chops, miserly portions of asparagus, watery soup) which is disappointing for the prices that are charged for already such small portions, which is sad to say, whether that is due to the increase in business or not I don’t know but having had nearly everything on the menu it’s hard not to notice the change. I hope they can sort it out and get back to where they were.

Yum!!! I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile and now I’m slightly bummed I didn’t try it sooner! The people working were super nice and friendly. I got a cup of lentil soup while I was waiting and it was off the hook! I got chicken wings which were really amazing. Spicy with a hint of citrus and they were super juicy and came right off the bone. I will be coming here regularly.

BK Jani knows how to make a mean burger. Oh yeah! Delicious food, great atmosphere, the best music scene in a Pakistani restaurant and service with a smile. The chicken roll was delicious and the burger was incredibly juicy and flavorful. Be prepared to get your hands dirty while eating this authentic Pakistani food. Definitely coming back Bilal and Sarah

I consider myself a seekh kabab snob, nothing can compare to the seekh kababs I’ve had back in my home country of Pakistan, until now, the quality of the kababs and all the dishes at bk jani were phenomenal. Service was wonderful and fast. The prices are reasonable given the quantity of food and superb quality. Don’t leave without trying the burger. The best I’ve had in NYC, hands down.

BK Jani just set the bar so high for 5 stars on Unilocal! The quality of this meat is something that is unfathomable until you try it for yourself. As a halalie– I’m always searching for the best tasting burger that I can get my hands on. This is, by FAR, the best burger I’ve ever had in my entire life. You barely have to bite down before the meat literally starts to melt in your mouth– like magic. The bun is perfectly toasted– not soggy, with chutney, peppers and a flavor that will knock your hipster socks off. The seekh kabobs are so succulent, so delicious, that your eyes will start to water– or maybe that was from the spicy mint chutney(also amazing). The rack of lamb was equally delicious and a completely different flavor profile from the beef! The winner of the show has to be the delicious lime soda that is made in house– for«VIP» guests only. We lucked out and had a refreshing end to the most fantastic meal I’ve ever had. The décor is classic Brooklyn; huge murals, by local artists, adorn the inside of a small former pizza joint that is lined with a few picnic tables. The owner/chef/mastermind behind the works is as great of a conversationalist as he is a creator of Pakistani delicacies. If halal food is what you seek and a burger is what you crave, look no further because you will not find a better place in NYC than BK Jani. **a side note– this place is cash only and quite pricey. But I implore you to skip lunch and save your monies for a meal that is worthy of your stomach.

Delicious! Succulent chicken tikka and the lamb chops are out of this world. I wish they would serve it with a side of kachumar salad and not seasonal veggies to make the experience truly authentic. Looking forward to trying the burger.

I have visited BK Jani a few times now and I feel like I can finally explain what is happening there. BK Jani’s proprietor Sibte is the Pakistani host to the BBQ/picnic that you are always invited to. Show up when you feel like it and bring a beer or a bottle of wine with you because, much like any picnic, the point is not to leave as soon as possible. The point here is more akin to what we all love to do with friends at a picnic; eat, drink, and laugh as the juices from freshly made Ameri-Pakistani street foods dribble down our hands. And don’t worry, they have wet naps. I have eaten about 1⁄3 of this menu and I recently tried the burger with smashed potatoes. Often times I feel like places sell their burger based on the other tastes involved i.e. sauce, bun, bell, whistle but Sibte and BK Jani offer a burger that is simple but astounding. BK Jani is perfect for drinking and relaxing with your friends while a dedicated cook happily mans the grill and makes sure you have the right taste for an anytime picnic.

Bk Jani made me feel like I was backpacking again. Awesome food, no utensils, chill vibes. This place isn’t for everyone and that’s probably my favorite thing about it.

If you are looking for an authentic & unique Pakistani BBQ experience in NYC area. this is it! Every other Pakistani place I have tried in NYC appears to be food which has been out in the open for the day and reheated in front of you. This concept is different where the food is made to order fresh. The meat quality is highest which justifies the price. The menu is simple which is great. I highly recommend lamb chops and the steak roll. The lentil soup is perfect for the winter months. I hope the concept grows and expands to other areas. I will def be back again to try other items on the menu!

Just take a look and ask yourself is a ¼ of a chicken worth 16 $? Total rip of, overpriced and devoid of character

Extremely simple. Extremely delicious. No forks, knives, or excuses. Just top quality grilled meats, sauces, and veggies. Sheehk kabobs — spicy herbed meat mix with stretchy naan like bread. Very moist, great smoky spice, great heat Lamb kabobs — the star of the show. Perfectly grilled spice rubbed chops. Super tender, hints of sweetness, bright peppery rub. Several dipping sauces included, including yogurt variations. Grilled veggie plate — mixed bunch of veggies. Super simple, great spice rub I may eventually regret writing this review. I hope I can dine here again with any overcrowding issues. Also, BYOB.

Don’t wait, run to this place as fast as you can! Travel as far as you have to, just go! I had the best kebabs this side of the Atlantic here and the lamb chops were out of this world. I can’t stop thinking about them, which means I have to go back very soon. And, I’m a finicky meat eater and only eat meat at home, where I’m absolutely sure of the quality and the source. At BK Jani, they use the best meat out there and you know it at first bite. And, how can I forget the grilled veggies — perfectly done and supremely flavorful. It’s byob. There’s a wine shop on the next block, get the Malbec, divine with the lamb chops

Really good food! I got the chicken roll & my fiancé got the quarter chicken and man… so good. The owner(presumably) also gave us each a cup of lentil soup while we waited, which was also tasty. The chicken roll was definitely a pretty fair price for the amount of food you get and the sides that come with the quarter chicken are outta this world.
