We went for skiing and the staff was not helpful. All teens that looked like they didn’tcare to be there. No one was particularly helpful. My boyfriend had trouble with his ski boots and they barely even looked to try to solve yhe issue. They just stared blankly. The slopes weren’t great. and they were really icy. The guy on the chair lift was the only smiling face we saw the whole time there.

If you are a bride choosing this for your wedding venue or an event space, it is beautiful. But be warned your guests will not be comfortable in the hotel. They have not put money into the rooms at all. No cell reception and choppy wi-fi, sagging beds, damaged upholstery on the furniture, terrible water pressure. The porches need a painting, the bathrooms need an update and the sheets and towels are old. Also, the towels are literally the size of a basic bath mat, nowhere near the size of a regular towel. Seriously, this is NOT A RESORT. Again, the people that work there are friendly and the area is pretty enough, but this is not a resort.

Not only does Caberfae have great skiing at the best prices in the north, but their customer service is something you seldom see these days. Manager Pete went out of his way to personally take care of my issue with friendliness, generosity, and humor. I’m a customer till I’m too old to put on my skis. Maybe even after that – I can always sit in the lodge and drink while my grand kids get suicidal on the slopes!

Had a good time up here for some spring snowboarding. It’s smaller than some of the places further north but that gives it a cool vibe. All of the staff we interacted with were very helpful and friendly. The lodge was clean and warm with a nice fireplace and plenty of nearby seating to warm up a bit. There are some tables downstairs so you can bring your own food and set up a with your friends and fam if you want to avoid the fried fare. Quite a few different trails that were laid out in a logical manner and easily accessible. Depending on where you were on the mountain the wind could kick up and be biting at times but that’s to be expected. Definitely going to go back when it’s not end of the season icy.

We came from South Bend up to Cadillac to spend a few days skiing. Two days were spent at Caberfae and we had a great time and the kids loved it. We set them up with private lessons each time and I wanted to really give props to Pam — she did a tremendous job with our five year old! Not only did she work with him and he had fun but we saw huge gains in his control on the slopes. Both boys had to be dragged off the mountain at the end of each day :-). We also grabbed lunch in the lodge one day and it was affordable cafeteria food — no frills, not expensive and there were choices for deli sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, etc. We will definitely be back!

My oldest has been skiing here for 4 years in Cabbykids. They do an amazing job. He loves it out there and is now learning to snowboard in the program. The instructors are all amazing and do such a great job with the kids. My youngest two are learning this year and nothing has changed, all the staff is great. It’s a great place to bring your family and ski! We are looking forward to making great memories out there again this year! Thank you!
