I went to this salon for a gel mani way longer than I should have. Im not proud to admit this, because it took me a while to catch on, but I was charged a different amount every time even though I would have the same thing done each time. Towards the last few visits I had to ask for the technician to do the manicure.(with gels they do the mani part after the polish as opposed to a regular mani where polish goes on last). The lady, that I really liked, acted like I was asking for the moon. I stopped going then recently went with a friend for pedis. The lady spoke NO English and when I asked for a very simple design I was told by the technician next to her that she couldn’t do it. I asked for someone else but instead another gal did the design(half-ass) then I was charged $ 8 extra for the small design. I will never go back there even if its for a quick polish change or whatever. Everyone there is very nice and the place is clean enough but too many bad experiences for me.

The salon is nice, modern & clean. Only have spa chairs so you pay the price even if you only want a regular pedicure. Many of the technicians don’t speak English and I had to actually have another person interpret what I was trying to say. I gave it a 2star since each time I go in they constantly up sell me! I had one of their coupons for a $ 14.99 spa pedicure but was charged $ 25 and gave up when the boss continued to argue with me when I asked why it was more expensive. I heard another customer dealing with the same issue. Too bad, as it’s convenient but with all of the competition nearby and I Know word of mouth will be negative.

Newly opened at the Summit in Calabasas, where Maddy’s Market is, this place is good. Nice location in the new mall, easy parking, etc. They have good polish like Essie(my fave) and OPI. The technicians are friendly and actually smile. They must be getting better people training in nail school these days because everyone who walks in for a mani or pedi gets a bottle of water, too. After going to a few of their technicians I’ve pcked out my fave 2 girls. Some are a bit less motivated to do as nice as a job as others but all in all it’s a good place to get your mani-pedi and relax a bit.
