I cannot speak highly enough of Aaron Flores as a dietician. Aaron’s approach is compassionate, nonjudgemental, and truly inspiring in his ways of helping me achieve not only a healthy relationship with food, but my best life. Aaron understands the fundamentals of nutrition, and truly takes the time to understand my needs as well– helping me strategize how I can manage the time and budget constraints that impact food choices, and still feel good. It is very clear in Aaron’s sessions with me that he is taking me and my life into consideration, and is respectful of who I am and what my needs are. His questioning and his helpful suggestions are geared towards me, rather than a blanket response that could be thrown at anyone. Aaron has my highest recommendation.

I don’t have enough superlatives in my vocabulary to adequately describe Aaron Flores. I am not exaggerating when I say he has changed my life. I knew I had issues with food before, but I never really understood the«why» until I met with him. Once we got to the issues of «why», we were able to move on from there, and I was able to change my relationship with food, and myself. Aaron teaches Intuitive Eating, an «anti-diet» approach to food that is truly the only long-term, healthy approach to food anyone should have. He believes in «health at any size» and that is so refreshing… especially living in Los Angeles, where the perception is small=healthy. Simply not true. Aaron is relatable, patient, kind, and inspiring. If you have ever considered seeing a registered dietitian, you must see Aaron. You will feel better about your relationship with food, you will feel better about your body, and you will feel better about your ability to make healthy, informed choices about food and health in the future.

I feel very lucky to be working with Aaron Flores as my registered dietitian. He has taught me the fundamentals of Intuitive Eating, and opened the door to living a more mindful everyday life. His sessions feel a lot like food therapy, as he cares about the big picture, and not just the food on your plate. Of course, we tackle nutrition, but we spend just as much time on body image and self-care practices, as well. During each of our sessions, Aaron’s absolute strength is asking me the questions that lead to huge revelations about the origins of my behavior towards food and the root of body image issues. He’s a great listener, and as someone who has experienced similar struggles, he is very relatable. Although he has a beautiful private office, he graciously offers virtual sessions via Skype or FaceTime, as well. If you’re ready to stop dieting, and learn to have a normal relationship with food, Aaron Flores, R.D. is most definitely the one you want to help guide the way.
