Hair Cuttery

Anastasia in the First Colony Shopping Center is the best. I hesitated to return to a Hair Cuttery, because my experience was that every stylist cut my incredibly short. But Anastasia took the time to talk to me and discuss my goals and what I was aiming for. During that first visit, she corrected the mistakes made by my previous stylist at a fancy shop and a month later, she tweaked the cut — and she didn’t get anywhere near making it too short. I will continue to see Anastasia as long as she works here. Thanks!

First time at this Hair Cuttery and everything was great. Didn’t wait long at all even though they were very busy. Elizabeth was very friendly and got me lookin and feeling like a million bucks. 18 $ I felt was a little steep but what can ya do… I will for sure come back here again.

I have gone to upper scale salons who charge a minimum of 50 dollars a cut and I am glad I came to Hair Cuttery instead. I am so pleased with my experience here! I didn’t have to wait at all, and the place was bright and clean. The stylists were all cheerful and friendly, socializing with their customers etc. My stylist, Kelly, was great! I came in unsure of if the style I had in mind would work for me. I showed her a picture, she gave me an honest assessment, and she got to work. She was friendly and chatted with me while don’t my hair. She was extremely thorough, checking and rechecking my layers to make sure they were even, and fixing even the tiniest issues. When she blow dried it out she describes how to style it myself and took get time to make sure it was done perfectly for me. I’m so impressed by the level of expertise here! Thanks Kelly!

I wanted to post this sooner, but the Hair Cuttery has a well kept secret that needs to get out. Her name is Anastasia and she is amazing!!! I went in THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING with a severe hair dye mishap! I was blonde with purple roots! Three hours of laughing and chatting with Anastasia while she diligently worked on correcting my awful home hair dye disaster, and I walked a a shiny, gorgeous redhead with beautiful tone, color, trim and style. I can not thank her enough for what she did for me!
The day of my wedding, I was telling my bridesmaids about the whole thing, come to find out, she’s who my bridesmaids go to too! I hear rotten stuff about Hair Cuttery all the time, but as long as Anastasia is there, that’s where myself and my friends will be going!
If you want a great hair cut, ask for her. She knows what to ask to get you to where you want to go, even if you’re not sure yourself. I watched her do other people’s hair during my hair dye wait times, and no one left disappointed.

Went in for a eyebrow wax and all the lady did was make my eyebrows uneven and complain about her job and co workers.
Not into it.
Trust me, anywhere else is better then that place.

5 stars because specific stylists always exceed my expectations, as they should.
I’ve come to the place enough to get the results I’m looking for. Whether it be a teenage girl or myself (male 40s).
Specific workers exceed my expectations. I guess you’ll need to give the place a try and figure out who they are. Once set you’ll be coming back.

If all you want is a basic cut for cheap, than you will probably be fine here. I have gone to this place a couple times and walked away with fine haircuts, but they were basic trims. That being said, basic/​simple is a relative term because I just left with a really bad cut on what I would think would be a fairly common and simple style, the long bob.
I should have known better, but I also braved highlights here which was a total disaster. I ended up going to another salon to have my hair dyed back to my natural color and my cut fixed so that the hair was even.

Went here for a haircut today. Let me say this — I’m a guy and my needs are simple as far as haircuts go. Short on the sides and back («skin»), a little longer on top.
This place is the first in the area that’s been able to meet my needs. I told them what I wanted and they did it. They made no assumptions and didn’t feel like they had to be artists, because, I’m sorry, that’s not what I want or need. Plus, they rinsed my hair out at the end to get out the loose clippings (they would’ve shampooed as well but I didn’t want that).
Now, if you need something fancy… maybe not the place for you but if you’re just looking for a trim or a simple haircut, this place was the bomb.
I have been to A&J and Sport Clips previously. A&J cut my hair more than I wanted, and Sport Clips I thought was doing OK but the last time I went in there the woman I got was a major Chatty Cathy who did her «artistry» rather than actually listen to me. All three have reasonable prices though.
A word of warning though — at least today, this place was PACKED. It is located in a strip mall with several other major stores. When I walked in I was told it might be an hour but that was due to the number of people on their list (there were actually few people IN the store waiting). It turned out that I waited less than 5 minutes.

Maybe it was just the lady that I got (who’s name I can’t remember sadly), but I walked out with the worst hair cut EVER!
I am a female and I had long hair that I wanted to be cut short (ear level). The lady took my hair out of a pony tail and cut it straight around. Not only did she get hair all over me (despite the cloak, it was even in my lap), there were still HUGE chunks of long hair that she missed.
She charged me for a wash and cut, even though she only cut it, I had to ask her to spray it with her water bottle!
