At 35, I was forced to buy hearing aids by my work place in 2012. My HMO insurance sent me here and $ 7,000.00 later, I felt forced to buy something. Then come to find out, the hearing aids weren’t even top of the line and they had price gouged me. I had to finance the purchase as insurance covers nothing. I had to take them in several times as the right ear has a short in it. They never did send it back to the manufacture they just kept telling me, «you bought a bad pack of batteries.» (I guess the left hearing aid got the good pack of batteries??) I have had to purchase the replacement parts from them, the last time I was in the front office girl was too busy helping a customer book a dermabrasion appointment while she held my debit card and unwilling to finish our transaction first. Oh, I was mad, I started buying my parts from Amazon after that. The hearing aids only had a one year warranty, so needless to say when I had MAJOR DAMAGE to them after my toddler got into my bag… The girl at the desk said I needed an appt and it would be $ 45 dollars just to look at them, and then $ 350 or more to have them repaired, if they were repairable. The doctor was only in Mondays and Thursdays and he wasn’t there, and it was a Monday. At this point, I have had enough. I found a locally run hearing place that was so helpful, I almost fell over. I didn’t have to pay them anything to look at them and they handled sending them to the company for repair and even offered me a year warranty on the repair. Do not waste your time with these corporate money motivated company as good, honest customer service does not exist here.
