A good friend recommended Old Stone Station and it was excellent! The food was delicious, I had the ‘Spicy Tuna Stack’ which is on the appetizer menu and made it a meal with salad, baked potato and veggies and I have left overs for lunch. The wait staff was great, very friendly.

My family and I just had the nicest dinner here. The small rustic place accommodated my family of small children even though it was clearly a romantic date night spot! Food was great! I got steak with mushrooms and it was cooked to perfect medium! Lovely attentive service, would recommend anytime.

This restaurant has an old rustic feel to it in a cute little town. My boyfriend ordered the 805 beer and a top sirloin with mushrooms and a sauce blend, and I ordered the flat iron with mushrooms and garlic butter. I had to literally take the fork away from him to prevent him from eating the entire plate(we had a long drive ahead). We loved the steak — both were cooked perfect. My choice in wine wasn’t well tasted. But I didn’t recognize any of the cabs so I guessed. The overall experience was wonderful. Too bad we couldn’t see the sunset though.

I ordered a Ceasars salad and a bowl of clam chowder. The chowder was good, however the Ceasars salad came with tomatoes, olives and wontons, no crutons or anchovies, it was weird. Lol. The service was good. I took out the tomatoes and olives and put them in a bowl. see photo

The service was great, our server Dakota was personable and friendly. The kitchen took a very long time to make our food, he got the sword fish and it wasn’t cooked all the way.

If you want an «all you can eat crab leg» dinner on a Thursday night, you’ll find it here. I didn’t order it, but from the looks of my neighboring tables, they were loving it! I had the Spicy Tuna Stack appetizer. Beautiful presentation! The flavor was OK but lots of gristle in the tuna. the abundance of ginger helped. Friendly service in a cozy space that includes outside dining.

THISISANOPERATIONSREVIEW, NOT A FOODREVIEW. This is because we ended up not being able to eat here. We waited all week to eat here on Thursday night which was for all you can crab legs. We had our hotel call to make reservations which we got. Then were called back and informed that they did not after all take reservations. We showed up at 6pm as the dinner hour started at 5pm. We were told that they were out of crab legs. ALREADY! They thought that they might have some King Crab legs still but after double checking, they were out of those too. We were told that people had called earlier and had the crab basically reserved for them. We advised that we tried that but were told no reservations were accepted. Then the only available seating was outside in the cool breeze. There were heaters outside to help combat the cold but I don’t prefer to eat that way. The final straw was when we found out that they only serve beer and wine. that’s OK but not what we wanted. If you are out of ALLYOUCANEATCRAB then take down the sign. Others had shown up wanting that as well but they too left disappointed.

Hubs and i came in Saturday night and we were both disappointed with our food quality. My order was tasteless and the shrimps are not fresh while hubs clam chowder tasted like it was made out from the can. However, after hubs complaint about the food to the waitress, she just let us go without having to pay anything. That’s the one star from. We wasted time here! Find some place else! The prices are quite high too.

A decent little restaurant if you are staying in Cambria for the weekend. The restaurant as a whole feels very low key. You get a strong sense that locals frequent this joint, as everyone seems to know everyone else there. We were not excluded from this treatment, even though we were tourists having a weekend getaway. Our waitress was a nice younger woman, who was super attentive and friendly to all of us. She was on top of bringing us water, helping with food choices, and making sure everything was going swimmingly. I forget her name, but she was great. We ordered the seafood on a bed of sushi rice appetizer, which was actually quite good. All of the included sea food was fresh, and well seasoned. For entrees we got the prime rib, a new york strip, the teryaki chicken, and something else which escapes me. The food was all fairly average, but fortunately was not super costly. If we are ever back in Cambria, this would be a nice place to revisit, but maybe not before trying something else.

Regardless of the food quality, I think the main reason for my dissatisfaction is with the speed of service. I can’t help but feel that my family and I were unfairly treated. It took a while for them to take our order, and even longer for the food to arrive. In fact, 3 tables that were seated after us were served before us, even though they ordered after. Maybe one of our dishes took specially long to prepared, we don’t know. To top it off, the whole time we were waiting, a little fly kept buzzing around to keep us company. The food was alright though.

Came here on a Sunday night after visiting Hearst Castle. We walked in and there was no host or anyone to greet us. Stood in the entryway for a minute unsure if we entered the wrong way or something until finally a lady comes out and seats us. The décor is rustic cabin and fishing style. It’s pretty cool and I liked what they did with it. However, I noticed a daddy long legs spider and web on a light fixture behind our table. I was enjoying the dinner so I decided not to look too closely at the cleanliness of the building after that. It can surely use a good dusting. Our server was friendly and fairly attentive but she did disappear into the kitchen often. I chose the 12 ounce prime rib with baked potato. It was huge! Cooked well and tasty. I really enjoyed it and at around $ 28, it was pretty standard pricing. My girlfriend had the sirloin steak. It was good but not the greatest. Our server did tell us that if paying with a card, we need to add tip before they scan the card. Very unusual, but it was fine. It’s 2016 and they should probably upgrade their card system to get with the times and make guests feel less uneasy about this. I’d return again.

My wife and I came in for dinner because they are dog friendly. They ended up being so much more. They set up a heater in their front, outside, covered patio and it was really kicking out the heat! We had a couple of appetizers as dinners(they add salad/veggies/baked potato). The mussels were awesome. The crab cakes were really good too. Had a great bottle of wine and a great conversation with the owners mom. The staff was awesome. We’ll definitely be back with our dog in tow.

Husband and I drove to eat at the sea chest and found it was closed for the holidays. We fell upon this place as it was the only restaurant open. Very disappointed. Will not be returning. Food was not fresh. Also felt like we couldn’t breathe… and we looked it up and it’s haunted.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this amazing restaurant. If you want to skip the story the tip is go here. In fact, go out of your way to go here. This food is the best on the coast. Always fresh and delicious. I’ve been coming here semi regularly since 2011. My favorite dish is the blackened chicken sandwich. It is the best I’ve ever had. Pair it with the house made potato salad and you will treat yourself to the most delicious meal on the PCH. You can’t go wrong with anything here. The cajun blackened salmon is also great. If you have plans to go through Cambria, make this your destination.

The food was alright, the sevice was robotic, and the management needs to tighten the ship. Let’s start with the service. The two servers that spoke to us, gave us conflicting«fish of the day» information. Our server was so robotic, she asked soup or salad and what type of dressing after my wife had placed her order and already told her she’d like the salad with ranch and steamed veggies for her side. Our server also continued to list the salad dressings that are typically available to each table, even though they were out of some. Our water cups remained empty throughout the meal, as were most of the others in the room. Both of our orders were wrong; though this could be the kitchen, it seemed a lack of attention to detail on the server’s part. She serviced tables with a baby(I believe hers) in her arms; cleared dishes from one table and collected payment from another. She explained it is the baby’s first birthday. Though I completely empathize, ask someone to watch/hold the baby while you are interacting with the customers. The extremely YOUNG man serving alcohol is questionable, at best. I’m pretty sure there are laws in place about this. He was an exceptionally energetic server; however, if he is as young as he seems, he is too young to serve alcohol. The food tasted good. However, the breaded chicken was soggy, fish barely cooked, and there were hardly any veggies on the plate. This restaurant has potential to be better. I just hope management makes time to take corrective measures to get them there.

Takes place in an old school gas station, it’s on the small side but we didn’t have to wait at all since we went right when it opened. The steak was cook great, plenty enough seasoning and thickness to it the rice was a little dry and the vegetables were a little boring. The sword fish was cook good though and was enormous.

HORRIBLE!! If I could leave a ½ star I would! DONTGOHERE! STAYAWAY, go to Linn’s a few doors down. LINDSAY the waitress is the most HORRIBLYRUDEWOMAN! The food was awful, the only good thing I can say about this place is the young bus boy named Jackson. He was so sweet and always made sure the drinks were refilled. LINDSAY the waitress I hope you’re reading this because you’re the rudest person I’ve met in the food industry and should be FIRED! I have been told she is(close) to the owner/manager Carl, so unfortunately I am sure she won’t be reprimanded, but I will continue with telling everyone I know to avoid this place at ALLCOSTS! Lindsay go take a class in manners and how to be classy.

3 ½ stars. Simple food, with a nice selection of seafood dishes. The restaurant itself used to be an old gas station back in the day– gives off a rustic, old-school vibe. :P Ordered fried oysters for the main meal. Huge portions, containing six, extra crispy oysters, along with vegetables, rice, and soup or salad. Admittedly, there was a bit too much batter than actual oyster to the dish, but in any case was okay-tasting. Service wasn’t overly friendly, but they were courteous. Overall, a decent, classic American establishment.
