This dunkin donuts is probably the best in the world. The ladies working there are so wonderful and friendly, and they work so fast it’s unbelievable… if I’m catching a train in three minutes and I’m behind five people in line and I order an egg and cheese on a bagel, I’ll be on the platform with time to spare.

Worst ever, been here few times and each time it gets worse. And it was the same people working. I don’t know if this lady doesn’t know english or is straight up stupid(i know thats harsh but come on!!!) I order and she doesn’t know what I’m saying so i have to repeat myself over and over and i just get a dumb look so I point«pretzel twist right there»…then she doesn’t even warm it up like your supposed to do, and i tell her and AGAIN the dumb look, forget it i left and Im done after this… the tie before that i asked for the #8 and dumb look and huh again and then the guy I’m thinking a manager or supervisor came up and said something to her idk and then made it for me… it was horrible! plus i got like 5 little round of the hash browns, not to mention I said Small for the coffee and she couldn’t figure that out she kept asking for medium, I said NOSMALL… it comes with a small I don’t want a bigger size for more money! Then the other time… shoot I’m done that was a disaster too… this Place is a disaster!!! HORRIBLESTAFFBURNTCOFFEENOCONSISTENCYINTHEBRAND! And yes i like the food its ok and the coffee isn’t bad so when it is that bad… its really bad! Ya its a convient location but DANG they SUCK here so bad, they can do a lot better and get more business and happier customers if they really just do better… And probably know english for that matter!

OK, listen. This is a Dunkin’ Donuts. If you do not like Dunkin’ Donuts food in general you will not like Dunkin’ Donuts food here. Now that we have that out of the way let me tell you what makes this place awesome. 1.) It is right in the Harvard T station. You don’t even have to go out into the blistering heat/freezing cold without your iced/hot coffee in hand 2.) They got tiny tables right by where you order so you get get all your shit together as you prepare to head into the world. 3.) Even if the line is 20 people long it takes no more than 3 minutes to get your food. You yell your order from 5 people back and if you’re not ready GETOUT, NODUNKINFORYOUAIN’T NOBODYGOTTIMEFORTHAT. 4.) The staff there is the best. Hands down, no questions. They know EVERYONE’s orders before they even get to the counter. If they’ve seen you once they know what you want. I have no idea what others are saying about them being rude, because they are far from that. They are quick, polite, friendly, and they get that everyone is trying to get to work on time. Love this place, come here every single morning, if you need a quick, cheap, caffeine fix this is where you need to be.

Every morning, Monday through Friday, I stumble off the T and sluggishly make my way to this Dunkin Donuts, which is conveniently located right inside the subway station. And every time, without fail, the staff here works at lightning speed to get me my caffeine fix as quickly as possible. The line may look long, but don’t be discouraged. The Dunkin staff works fast and hard to make sure their time-pressed customers get their coffee and get on their way. For example, while the cashier is ringing up customers at the front of the line, the baristas are collecting orders from people at the back. They go out of their way to make sure your wait is as short as possible. I can’t really say much about the food nor about the accuracy of orders, since I always get the same simple drink order(medium coffee with cream and 2 Splendas!), but for your morning coffee run, this is a great go-to place. Special shoutout to Elizabeth, who is always smiling and happily greeting customers(in English and Spanish!) no matter how long the line is.

If you take the T on a regular basis, this place is a godsend. As far as I can tell, it seems like this place is open all of the time that the bus and trains run. They’re awesome at remembering your orders, especially if you grab a doughnut every single morning when you’re getting off the red line.

Pretty bad customer service. The staff are just rude, perhaps efficient but lacks any courtesy. Food is disastrous. Donuts are dry and quality of food is comparable to any other fast food chain, but way overpriced. Harvard square has plenty of other food and coffee joints to go to. Check those out instead. This place is not my cup of joe. First and last visit.

If I could take away stars from their current listing, I would. This is for two separate transactions done at this location during my classes at the CCAE. In the days after the Marathon bombing, the city of Boston had come together to create the One Fund. Signs were up for businesses deciding to donate parts of profits, special candles were made at Yankee Candle, and Dunkin was taking orders as well as asking for support for the tragic events that day. I come in for a hot cocoa, and decide that I’m jonsing for a cookie. I go up to place my order, and get the drink order down. When I ask what sort of cookies they had, heck, if they even had any the tall male working behind the counter gives me a look. I ask again, and then he peers down at the propped up card stand featuring the One Fund message, and flings it across. Now I could understand this being several months later and the Boston Strong catchphrase being done to death, but this was straight after the bombings, maybe a week tops, and he’d just flung this poster of support? A little startled, I decline to purchase a cookie from Dunkin Donuts. I regret that I didn’t leave right there, and never come back. A few months later, I“m finishing up y class, and boy howdy, is it ever hot. So I head to the DD after my class for something to drink. Long story short, I order a Coolatta for $ 1. It was, after all, the size and price on the woman who took my order’s button. Except … she won’t give me advertised price. She claims, the promo is over. Why wear the button? And give me an inaccurately priced receipt? She fights with me on the price of the drink, but, needing to get to the train that had been announced overhead, I leave. I know she said something under her breath was was only the complete epitome of class and professionalism, so I will leave it at that. No more. I refuse to patronize this station.

If you go frequently they’re really good at remembering your order and have it ready by the time you’re up to pay. The location is the best part.

Update: I’ve managed to get caffeinated iced coffee, but they never ever give me the right donut the first try. Come on.

I have to admit that with all the DDs in Harvard Square now, this is still my favorite. It also happens to be the most convenient. What better sight to greet you as you get off the train than DD? If you come here often enough, they pretty much memorize your order and have it ready for you. I’ve been coming here for over a decade, and in that time, there have been a few workers who are here EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. They are shockingly efficient and a long line can dissipate in a matter of minutes. They have the morning rush hour down pat.

I rate this commercial juggernaut only because its geographic placement brings me relief and caffeine on my way to work many days — it’s lovely to be greeted with more-than-sufficient and better-than-Starbucks(for the wallet and palate!) coffee even before I’ve emerged from the T — brilliant.

As a born and bred Bostonian, I grew up loving Dunkin’ Donuts, or «Dunkies» as we used to say growing up. My favorite beverage was the iced coffee, which I still like. BUT, on a recent visit to Dunkins after a hiatus, I noticed they STILL use styrofoam cups for their medium and large sized beverages. In this day and age, that’s just unacceptable. One might argue that the use of styrofoam cups allows Dunkins to keep prices low, but if you actually compare prices for their espresso drinks(lattes, cappucinos, etc.) they are fairly comparable to prices at other coffee shops such as Peet’s…which DON“T use styrofoam and, in fact, have better espresso beverages. My other complaint is that there is little consistency from one Dunkins to the next… I used to go to one near my work where they make the iced coffees EXACTLY right, but at the other ones the iced coffee would be too dark or have too much sugar. There was a time when coffee shops weren’t all the rage and Dunkins had little competition, but they have not been able to keep up. Sorry Dunkies, but unless there are no other coffee shops within a 10 mile radius, I won’t be back.

I had a chocolate flavor cake donut at this exact location six years ago, and it’s still memorable, so take that for what it’s worth. We don’t have Dunkin Donuts in LA, so, I’ll savor the memory.

On my daily Odyssey from the Harvard bus drop off to the turnstiles of Trinacia, I must pass my own personal Scylla and Charybdis and ignore the call of the Sirens — the smell of donuts, coffee and fake egg and cheese.(For you non classical types, it’s like that episode of Duck Tales when they are transported to ancient Greece and the beautiful ducks growing out of that monster call out«Pennies, nickels, quarters, dimes. Come to us while there’s still time!» and Uncle Scrooge can’t help himself.) I must pass with in 20 feet of this Dunkin Donuts every morning, and if my belly is full and I have had a good night’s sleep, I sail right on by. But if I am hungry or sleepy, the lure of buttery croissants and French Vanilla coffee is too much to handle, and I find myself drifting over and being pulled into that whirlpool. But it’s not a bad thing. The tall guy with the hat knows my order, the Hispanic lady with the curls always, ALWAYS has a smile and I have perfected balancing a bagel, coffee and book while standing on the train. The service is surprisingly fast, no matter how long the line, and they have not once made a mistake on my order. Haven’t seen dependability like that since Penelope.
