Dunkin’ Donuts

Awful service. It’s 80 degrees out today and my friends and I have water bottles we need to fill up. We go to dunkin donuts wait in line and politely ask if we can have them filled with water. We didn’t want an extra cup because it’s just more packaging gone to waste. They deny us water and acknowledge the fact that it’s illegal to do so. Refuse to take my friends order until we ask several more times. Finally pour us water in one of the bottles but refuses the other until my friend pays him for the cup. Employees names were Hasaan and Johora

Worst d/​d. I come only because it’s a drive through and I’m lazy. Countless times they have messed up my order, and today they are just plain slowass. There is nobody in front of me at the drivethrough. I ordered, checked my Facebook… commented to my friend of my jealousy that she is boozing in Italy while I’m in rainy traffic… played Scramble with friends… won (don’t ever try playing me, you won’t win)…checked ny Hotmail… and wrote this review. All while still waiting for a medium coffee and 2 sides of hash browns. WITH NOBODY IN FRONT OF ME!
…and now that I get my order… I see they messed it up yet again. One side of hash browns, not two. Congrats, d/d…you have earned your place on my Scum of the Earth list.

Just to be clear, this is the Dunkin’ Donuts next to Cheddar’s, Circle Furniture and Newbury Comics, and doesn’t have a drive-​thru. There is another DD at the adjacent rotary (about 500 ft away) which does have a drive-​thru.
Because of their location, both of these DDs are very busy, but this one has a big parking lot available and is slightly less crazy b/​c of the lack of the drive-​thru. This one is a good size, and has a lot of windows for light, but isn’t as clean as some others. Not terrible, just not great. The line is always pretty long, but I thought the service was ok here.
I don’t go to the other location, because their coffee always tastes sour to me. I don’t like that.

Weird, I don’t remember this place being a drive thru… but anyhow…
I know it’s just a DD’s and I’m not supposed to expect much, but the service here is awful. I’ve made a point not to stop here anymore on my way to work or even just for an afternoon coffee when I’m in that area. I started going here for coffee in February/​March. Whoever’s been in charge of the people in the afternoon since then, needs to get it together.
The cashiers on any given weekday around 2 o’clock are super slow, and that’s an understatement. The coffee is never made the way I like it, and I never order anything outrageous, just a small iced coffee, cream, and two splendas… somehow they always get it wrong and it’s weird because I order the same thing at other DD’s and they don’t mess it up. Isn’t there a formula to this? How does one mess up, Alewife Brook Pkwy Dunks? How?!
If I was diabetic, I’m sure I’d go into shock.
This place has made me contemplate writing to Dunkin Donuts or speaking to the manager about the exceptionally slow service and uncaring employees.
You’re better off driving around the rotary and stopping at Starbucks and spending a few more dollars for better coffee and friendlier service.
I’ve only had one good experience at this Dunks and it was on a Saturday morning at about 7:50. The people who work Saturdays know about service. Warm, buttery croissants and timely service are well appreciated, especially when you’re supposed to be fast food joint.
Get it together, guys!

This is a drive-​thru that has yet to mess up my order. I’ve only been about a half dozen times, but that’s a pretty good record to me. The only small problem is that the a.m. guy at the pick-​up window always asks me to repeat what I ordered. He rings it up, so I wonder if that info is not registering from the time the order’s taken till the time I drive up. Or maybe he’s just trying to be thorough.
