Fresh fresh fresh local seafood !!! Delish!!! Can’t beat the crab cakes they have! Highly recommend! Nothing like loacal Maryland seafood!

Stopped in here in route to Ocean City. It was a rainy day so I ordered food to go which was made to order since everything with the exception of their fried chicken and mac & cheese was under heat lamps.
Ordered the special of the day — clam strips, fries, beverage. In addition an order of 6 crab balls and a freshly made piece of sweet potato pie. The clam strips were large, tender and yummy. The crab balls were rich tasting and fries were piping hot. Prices here are reasonable and noticed many locals also ordered food to go.
Service and friendliness from the gal the counter was solid. Tip — Call in your order if time is of the essence.

Great place to get fresh and local seafood. Clean inside. Generally good prices. Staff is very friendly. Never had a problem with any seafood from Kool ice. This is our go to place when in Cambridge to get oysters!

This is such a hidden value that I’m suprised more people don’t know about. Their prices for fresh MARYLAND crabs and oysters are about half or less of what you’d find elsewhere in the metropolitan area. Sept-​Nov. bushels of #1 males will run you between $ 75-​$ 100. That’s unheard of in northern VA where a dozen of jumbo crabs will cost you upwards of $ 80! The oysters are also a great deal and so fresh and so clean tasting. It’s a great example of a locally owned and operated company doing business the way it was meant to be done in America. They are very nice, honest, and just a great bunch of people to interact with. I’ve been visiting this store when I do my charter fishing runs in the eastern shore or passing through. They close at 6pm and are not open on sundays. Call ahead for pricing.

There’s something about this place that I truly enjoy besides the food. Don’t get me wrong… the food is great. I feel everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. If you’re in Cambridge, MD visiting or simply passing through. You can skip burger king, McDonalds etc and come here for a cheap yet great carryout seafood style meal.

Kool Ice is my favorite seafood stop on the eastern shore. Quality steamed crabs from local watermen at usually reasonable prices, local fresh fish, and the best crab seasoning on the market. I like supporting businesses like Kool Ice because I know the money goes to the local economy. The packaged crab meat is also Maryland crab, rather than the farmed Indonesian crap you’ll find at big box grocery stores.

Great place to pick up a bushel of crabs if you are in Cambridge.
Seafood is fresh!
