Paris Baguette is a super-cure Asian-style bakery located in the food court right outside H-Mart in Central Square. I love stopping by for a little sweet pick-me-up. The prices are more expensive than the multitude of bakeries in Chinatown, but given the dearth of competition in the Central Square area, it makes sense why they are able to charge higher prices. Some of my favorite items: Cronut: a cross between a croissant and a donut made famous by a bakery in New York. At $ 4, it is one of the more expensive items, but I can’t help getting one every time I visit. The cronut is deliciously buttery and flaky on the outside, with a smooth creamy filling. Strawberry cream croissant: one of my favorite desserts. A buttery croissant filled with sweetened whipped cream filling and fresh strawberry halves. Very satisfying! Frappé: They have a special where every day between 2−4pm a frappé is 50% off. Cakes: I have bought a lot of Paris Baguette cakes over the last two years because they are so beautiful. Prices are usually between $ 26-$ 35, and the cakes are mostly sweetened whipped cream based(like most Asian bakery cakes). They aren’t overly sweetened and taste light and airy.

I always visit Paris Baguette and H-Mart whenever I’m on the Red Line. However, I plan to avoid the place for a while after today. I ordered a bunch of pastries and an iced green tea. When I received my drink there was a dead BUG in it!!! I immediately told the girl who made my drink. She said, «Huh?» Didn’t even offer an apology, but that’s not even the worst part. The girl then proceeded to scoop the bug out, and pour the remaining drink into a new cup. All while I was watching. Then she had the audacity to hand me the cup. Are you serious? Love yourself.

I was always a big fan of this place in Seoul, and glad to have them in Boston. The pastries are high quality and there’s a pretty good variety. Although the whole place is quite a bit smaller than the real Paris Baguette, where not only is there about double the selection, but also usually a lot more seating space. Nonetheless, good quality and reasonable prices here.

The individual cakes are smaller than the locations in New York for the same price. I also ordered a birthday cake here and got candles. I asked them to hold it while a friend picked it up later for a surprise and they didn’t give me any candles. They however did charge me 2 bucks for them.

I was in Boston for the day and decided I needed to have my Paris Baguette fix… I was not let down… the quality I had experienced in NYC was the same in the Boston(Cambridge) store. I had the green tea cake and my sister had the Blueberry cake… OMG…both were light and fluffy… less than 400 cal each… both good size portions. This store is such a wonderful gem when it comes to baked good, pastries, cakes, salads, etc… I am so happy I am only about 1 hour’s drive from a Paris Baguette !!

Always my favorite bakery shop. We order our cakes from here. The cake is less sweetened than most of other bakeries which makes this place one of my favorite Asian bakery store! The other one is Tous Les Jous

Good ol’ Paris Baguette. It’s nice to have a familiar chain to rely on when you come to some place new. This one is like any other, and like many of their franchises, it is connected to an HMart supermarket. If you come early(like 8AM), not all the baked goods will be out, however, what is out is certainly fresh. You can still order the full menu of drinks, and seating is plenty. The lighting is good, and the tables have generous space, so you can work with your pastry, however, if you can’t work under k-pop conditions, know that at least the music is low, so it shouldn’t be too much of a distraction.

I’d been lustfully perusing Unilocal photos of Paris Baguette for a while, so when I walked by here feeling a little hungry and thirsty I promptly forgot about the water bottle and granola bar in my bag and walked on in. Paris Baguette is a gleaming, air-conditioned paradise of desserts. You serve yourself pastries using your own wax-lined bamboo tray and set of tongs and order cakes and drinks at the counter. So many things looked amazing, like the packaged peanut crunch bread and the blueberry chiffon cake. I like how they have a good balance of savory and sweet pastries – the sweet potato garlic pastry seemed interesting. I also appreciate that they have ingredients and calorie data on everything since it’s easy to go crazy at a place like this. After much deliberation, I went for a new item, the crème brûlée «bon bon»(although it was more of a fried pastry). I don’t really understand how they engineered this: it’s a ball of yeasted dough filled to the brim with a thin vanilla custard. It tasted like a Krispy Kreme doughnut. The bottom was a little soggy, and the top could have been more torched to reinforce the«brûlée» aspect of the pastry, but overall a high quality, indulgent treat, especially at $ 1.75. I should have heeded the reviews and skipped the bubble tea, but I just can’t say no to boba. I paid $ 0.95 to add boba to an iced green tea($ 2.50 for a small). Sadly, the tapioca was overcooked – slimy without any chew – and seemed like it was soaked in white sugar instead of more flavorful honey syrup. Disappointing, but maybe it was a one-time thing? Paris Baguette would be a great place to do work or catch up with a friend because it’s quiet and clean inside. Although the line can get long, there’s plenty of seating. Who would have thought that the cutest café in Central Square would be inside H Mart?

Paris Baguette is one of the most popular chain bakeries in Korea. The recipes for pastries and shaved ice desserts(aka bing soo) are all standardized so it is very pleasant that I could have the same quality products regardless of the location. After having a bike ride, my friend and I decided to get some shaved ice dessert from here. We got mango shaved ice which was pretty good and refreshing. But I was not sure if it was worth of $ 13. Still, this place is pretty nice and have variety of pastries.

Ridiculously GOOD!!! Cakes are amazing, can’t have enough. Every party at home is only a party with a cake from Paris Baguette, our first choice is always the strawberry cake. AMAZING, it is light, moist and sweet at the right point. My other favorite is the almond croissant accompanied by a café latte. All my friends when trying for the first time just go nuts for the cakes and pastries there.

This place is attractive to be sure — bright lights displaying rows of baked goodies behind shiny, modern counters. I’m a fan of the famed cronut so that would get 4 stars and sadly the red bean donut would get a 1. I wanted to try their cream puffs but it looked so dry and on the verge of shriveling — had it been sitting there for a few days? That’s the impression I got. Cronut was flaky, the custard was the perfect amount of sweet with good proportions, too. Slightly too greasy, but the flavor of this baked goodie was superb. The red bean bun was a huge disappointment. Very dry, like I was eating stale bread and the inside had a red bean paste that didn’t have much red bean flavor to it. Very bland. After 2 bites I was done — and that second bite was one too many. No sense in putting on pounds for subpar dessert. I’d suggest getting red bean desserts at a Chinese bakery or at a good dim sum place. I suppose a good rule to go by would be to see which goods are in abundance later in the day — if they haven’t sold many they must not be that great! I should have totally gone by that rule. Service was standard. Egg tarts, a fave dessert of mine, are $ 2.25 — I’d rather get them for $ 0.75 or $ 1 in Chinatown(and I did the other day!). The prices are a bit high and while the displays here look attractive when you first walk in, the actual goods don’t look that appealing upon closer inspection(again, too dry!!). I would rather spend my money down the street at Flour for baked goods or at least get more bang for my buck for quality pastries in C-Town!

I have to admit: the store is sleek, bright, and beautiful. The décor is quite attractive and always tempts me to buy something. The red bean bun is venerable, with it being fresh and full of sweet red bean. The twist donut is acceptable. It’s soft and sugary, though it’s nothing too special in terms of flavor. The«apple pie» is more like an apple turnover than anything. Overall, nothing wow’ed me(maybe I should try the croissant donut) but nothing sucked. Prices for baked goods are on the higher end. Service is generally good, so I’m happy with that. It’s a steady bakery with variety and a safe bet.

Large selection of pastries at decent prices. The cakes are affordable and beautifully made, and they come with candles, matches, and a serving spatula which is great. I find that the flavors/textures of the desserts here tend to be lighter and less sweet than those of a typical American bakery.

If you’re looking to purchase some really nice looking asian pastries, this is the place to go! They have a great array of cakes, pastries, and breads that certainly score high on presentation. The only thing is that either taste or texture is not quite there for many of the desserts. For example, their fried sweet rice ball has good texture but the taste is very one dimensional. The cronut is also okay in taste but way too oily. One recommendation is to purchase the dessert and heat it up at home — it tastes so much better!

Growing up near the Los Angeles K-town area, where there are Korean bakeries in every quarter mile radius, I was so happy that a Paris Baquette opened in the city. The pastries served here live up to the Paris Baguette chain quality found in Korea. Just make sure to go and expect the price to be kind of outrageous given the city location and the advantage they have of being the only Korean bakery in the area. I stick to the old-school Korean bread purchases. I have yet to concede to the fancy pastries they serve. What I usually get: — mocha bread — chapssal donut(the round donut looking thing) — green pea bread — gombo bbang(bread topped with peanut butter crust) I’ve tried the sausage stick bread before, and it was too dry for my liking. I also tried another sausage bread with cheese on top. The cheese on top was clearly ‘melted’ hours before. Won’t be ordering that again. Korean cakes are BEAUTIFUL, and Paris Baguette lives up to that reputation. Cakes run for about $ 30 for a small/med cake.

Paris baguette is one of my favorite bakeries as I like fresh pastry’s that make me want to get them all in my belly! I like that this location is near a convenient area of Cambridge that is easy to reach. I tend to stay away from the fruit drinks and smoothies as they are too sweet, but the coffee drinks as well as the fresh squeezed orange juice is good. I think there is also grapefruit juice which I stumbles upon on once. I love the pastries from here and always come back hauling so much food! I tend to get a wide variety of savory and sweets. The things that are delicious and are my usual look fors are definately: hash brown bread, tomato pesto bread, salmon avocado sandwich, crunch sandwich as well as the vegetable and curry croquettes. These items are delicious and are worth trying out! The pastries are light and fluffy. I have tried, from the special glass casings, the blueberry cheesecake, green tea cheesecake, tiramisu amidst others fancy schmancy desserts that I forgot the names of. Some of them are worth indulging when you want to treat yourself, but the cakes seem to be rather expensive since they’re fresh crème sponge cakes that are simply decorated in an uncustomary and appealing fashion.

their cakes are okay, pastries are okay. I tried the cronut recently and it was nasty!!! dripping in oil and more oil and grease when u bite into it. yuck!!! unhealthy and mostly not delicious?! not sure if they tried it themselves first. so bad. can’t believe it’s still on the menu. please don’t try, save yourself $ 4. yes, they cost $ 4 too. soooo disappointed, want a refund. get anything but the cronut, though i’d much prefer anything from the Chinese pastries in Chinatown than anything here. better tasting and cheaper.

Paris Baguette is a top bakery franchise originated from South Korea and successfully expanded its global market in the past several years. Its goal is to «become to bread what McDonald’s is to hamburgers.» Pretty ambitious eh? Located in front of Hmart in the heart of Central Square, Paris Baguette is a bakery/café I visit from time to time. It is brightly lit, clean, and has a very organized set up. You start at the end of the counter, pick up a tray, place a parchment paper on top, and pick up baked goods of your liking, and wait in line to pay. I would skip the drinks and get right to the pastries. The drinks aren’t bad but nothing special in my opinion. Pastry-wise, there are cakes, bread, croissant, mochi, macarons, etc. you name it. OH and don’t forget the cronuts! I was so excited to see cronuts here, especially since I wasn’t planning on going to NY anytime soon. I had the regular cronut — it was buttery, crispy, and flaky. A sweet custard filling poured out as I bit into the center. I enjoyed it, but it didn’t blow me away. It was almost too greasy and overly sweet for me. Nevertheless, it was still worth a try! They also have patbingsoo(shaved ice) but ONLY in the summer. I walked away disappointed when I visited in October. I mean, yes I get that it is a summer treat, but it is ALWAYS the season for ice cream. :P Pastries here are more pricey than your usual Asian bakeries. In short, it is a sweet spot to get your cravings fixed. Plus, now you don’t need to trek all the way down to NY to get a taste of this cronut craze.

Paris Baguette took my trademark copyright C-in-a-circle(c)ronut virginity. And I liked it. You might feel a bit sheepish sliding a tray down the rails cafeteria-style at a bakery. But, y’know, Wall-E predicted it, so let it happen. Plus, you can justify buy ordering the mini version of their most popular treats. Which I didn’t. I went big. A cronut, a pistachio grand macaron, and a pineapple pastry. Nine bucks bought the threesome(said no one ever), and all failed to disappoint. There’s a secret as to how the giant macaron could maintain its textural integrity at triple the normal size, but they do it. And they do it for $ 2.50 a treat. Speaking of texture, dat cronut.(Cue Pillsbury script!) Tender, flakey, butter forward, sweet without being saccharine — it’s a proper pastry liger if there ever was one, and calorically situated to fit the $ 4 price tag. One a month, max. Now, go buy some veggies from H Mart. Sinner.

Yah Paris baguette! Brings back good memories of Korea. Love their pretty desserts and packaging! Not very big as this is located in the front of a small Hmart. The thing I like about PB, is their desserts are not super sweet. They also have pastries and sandwiches. Just saw from reviews they have a Cronut?! Must go back soon to try! Parking is scarce as there is only street parking. There’s a big lot out back but it’s not Hmart parking, boo!
