DO NOT go here. It was a total nightmare from start to finish. The hygienist was very new to the profession and cut my mouth throughout the entire cleaning. I have never had a more painful cleaning.
The Dr. came in to speak with me for no more than two minutes at the end. He literally opened my mouth and glanced at my teeth for 10 seconds and then said I was good to go. Given the fact that I have multiple implants and a crown there’s no possible way a Dr. can do an accurate and thorough analysis of my teeth in 10 seconds. Additionally, the office and equipment are very old and have not been updated anytime recently.
Finally, they misinformed me of the actual insurance plans they accept and that will fully cover the cost of a cleaning. I would strongly suggest you go to another dentist.

I have pretty good teeth so most of my interaction has been with the hygienist. She is really excellent, thorough but gentle, and explains why you should take her suggestions instead of lecturing you like a child.

I have never been to a dentist who works so efficiently and with less pain. I have had several visits over the last few monts (fillings, posts and crowns and am out in Jig time. Not to mention that the work is first rate, I recommend him Highly.

Peter McDonald did something crazy while filling one cavity in my mouth. It required three trips back for him to attempt to correct it, and I was charged for each subsequent trip. He never did correct it, and now I have a portion of my gum that is completely receding and often painful. Also, he’s kind of smug and arrogant which might be tolerable if he’d done a good job, but alas, he didn’t.
His staff was really really nice though… and the waiting room had more magazines than Borders.

I found this dentist through Unilocal and went there yesterday for a cleaning.
The staff is very friendly and seem to do a very good job. Taking out time to answer all my questions and going in to more detail than just the traditional «floss because I say so» line.
The only reason I have not given the office five stars is that I have not yet experienced being worked on by Dr. MacDonald, which unfortunately will happen in the near future. I will update my review at that point in time.
As a small bonus this dental office is located in the same building as NPR’s recording studio for «Car Talk». I walked by, but unfortunately no sign of Click and Clack, the Tappert Brothers.
UPDATE:
Went back for some more gruesome work with the man himself, Dr. McDonald, and I am very impressed. The work he did was some of the least intrusive and best looking I have had. I’m raising the review to a 5 star.

As people who root around in your mouth go, Dr McDonald gets five stars from me.
A big friendly bear of a man, with a great sense of humour, and an excellent team of hygenists, he does his damndest to keep your teeth alive and kicking.
