Black Eyed Susan’s Breakfast and Lunch

Try the San Fran! One of the better lunch truck sandwiches I have had. Oil braised turkey breast, melted swiss cheese, avocado spread and bacon jam. It’s nicely pressed and is hard to put down. Definitely a sizeable portion. The avocado spread and bacon jam nicely contrast each other. I also had one of the bbq chicken sandwiches, on a brioche bun with fontina cheese and pickled red onions, which was tasty but not quite as impressive as the San Fran. The bbq sauce had to a nice mix of sweet and tangy.
The service was quick and they were awesome people. Will definitely be going back to try some of their other sandwiches. If all of their other menu items are as good as the San fran, I’ll definitely be upgrading to 5 stars. I saw online that some people suggested they have vegetarian options, but I only saw one on the menu. Didn’t ask if they had anything else.

The regular menu is delicious and can accommodate carnivores, vegans and vegetarians with the options, which are mainly old standbys with a twist. For instance, the San Fran panini is swiss, avocado and turkey, but is finished off with bacon jam.
The $ 10 daily soup/​sandwich combo is awesome, especially since they’re constantly switching up their sandwich specials and regularly rotate their soups. They also offer great comfort foods like mac ‘n cheese and cookies, which is definitely needed, especially around exam time.
I recommend texting them before 11:30 or after 1:30 with your order so that you don’t have to wait in line. More so, I recommend anything with the bacon jam on it.

Best food cart around. Interesting menu & everything is good! Fair prices and short wait time.

I’ve been interning in Camden off and on for about a year and just now discovered Black Eyed Susan’s truck near Rutger’s Law. Since then, I’ve gone back repeatedly for their vegan options. Their Garden sandwich is delicious and the fact that it’s served on Le Bus bread is the cherry on top. I’d also recommend their 3 bean chili which is rich and flavorful. There is a $ 9 lunch special with sandwich, small soup, and beverage that is worth every cent.
The service is ridiculously quick and very friendly. I appreciate that they take cards without complaint, but they express their gratitude if you pay with cash. I’m so glad I have a quick, reasonably priced, AND healthy choice in Camden for those days when I don’t feel like packing my lunch.

A steady menu of awesomeness, plus daily specials that never disappoint. Can’t go wrong eating from here.

When it comes to food trucks, Susan’s is the best.
