I called at 6:30 to make an appointment and was told they took their last tan for the night but they close at 8:00. She told me to call El Dorado Hills or Placerville who have appointments until 730, they are also open until 8:00. Sounds more like a lazy employee to me.

I went to this salon today for a spray tan. Nothing fancy, just the quick spray down in the booth. I was a first time customer. The front desk wanted by telephone number and home address to add in their system before the tan. The clerk had already seen my if to verify age. I told her I just want the booth spray tan and didn’t see why they needed my home address. She got both angry and flustered. I asked if we could either put in dummy info or skip those fields. Her response, «it is federal law that you must give me this information for my computer.». Uh, nope. I guess I’ll just be pale.

This salon was great — went for teeth whitening and red-light therapy and both were terrific! The staff was very sweet and the facilities were fantastic — exceptionally clean! Also got some great clothes from their sales rack — definitely check that out.

I have been a monthly member since 2005. I am a little sad about some of the bad reviews that newer people might be reading and getting a bad impression off of… I will vent on a few things that have upset me over the last 9 years and that I ultimately gave 4 stars for: –Constantly being greeted by a new employee. Good businesses should be able to keep their employees happy… right??? –Bed #9 needs to get that damn radio fixed. Seriously, its kind of embarrassing and crappy that your employees have to assign that bed(let alone any that might have a problem) and have a customer get annoyed at them for it when they realize it does not work. Hope most customers are as understanding as me, but I assume a majority have a stick up their butt and blame your employee’s and are super rude(wish my problems were as life threatening as theirs). It’s been over a month, my friend would fix it for free. –The interior acrylic of the bed needs to be cleaned more often. As soon as ‘the sun’ comes on, you can see dust bunnies and sometimes dead bugs and random hair. Some things you just can not hide with those tiny goggles; this isn’t a magic trick. –There are lotions online you can buy that are really cheap and I would think that there would be amazing deals more often for older members such as myself. Other than that, I would gladly go out of my way to go to this exact store, even over the El Dorado Hills store. It’s more down-to-earth, the employees do not bug the crap out of you every time you visit by selling you things you don’t want, and pretty much every employee I met there has been nothing but friendly. My family/friends are members because of my recommendation and I love this place. Go get crispy, newbies!(Responsibly) Also, yes I had this much time to type a review. You’re welcome you busy individual!

I am deeply disturbed by your bad business practice. And, I am hoping that it was an error and that you make things right. Your former customer, beautiful young lady, Nici is fighting for her life. You charged her cancellation fees as if she doesn’t have enough to deal with. Nici is undergoing very aggressive chemotherapy treatments. She will be lucky if she has enough energy left to spend with her family. Money isn’t everything. I urge you to do what is right.

Shame on you for charging a cancellation fee to someone who has cancer, going through chemo, preparing for a bone marrow transplant and is in the fight of her life. This is not the kind of business I want in Cameron Park!

After being re-diagnosed with cancer at the end of July(Stage 4 Recurrent Hodgkins Lymphoma) and having a catheter placed through my chest for chemo and a bone marrow transplant I went into Tan Central«All About Me» in Cameron Park and spoke to an employee about cancelling my membership. She mentioned that there was an early termination fee but that I could probably get it waved by talking to the manager and/or owner. She also mentioned that I had a fee for August that didn’t go through. After offering to pay she suggested I talk to the manager about that as well since it had been over a month since I had gone in. I told her I would considering it was obvious why I didn’t come in. I sent the manager/owner a message through Facebook since previously I had corresponded that way and it was handled by someone in charge, seemingly the owner. Their response was… «we will be happy to cut the cancellation fee to $ 50 instead. another suggestion that i can give you is that you have one more month of your membbership with us. if you come in and sign your cancellation form in any of our salons now, you will have to pay one more month of tanning and it will be cancelled with no fees. We do need you to pay for August no matter what. So your options are: — to pay $ 87.00 to pay August and September or you can — pay $ 101.00 by paying the cancellation fee and the month of August. let us know if you have any questions! Thank You« Maybe I’ll just go in and tan for a month since according to her it’s best to pay for it instead of cancelling… idiots ALSO… Pay attention to the only good reviews they have… only 1 or 2 reviews written by each newly created Unilocal accounts in addition, their latest 5 Star review is the same person who posted their Unilocal profile picture with their logo… fishy :/

I love this tanning salon. It is very clean and the beds are well maintained. The staff is nice and helpful– they helped me pick a bed & time that would allow me to tan gradually since I am very fair skinned and needed to slowly build a tan without getting burned. But the best is that I have been trying their red light therapy for a couple months now, and I can’t believe the results! Lisa said that it could help with acne and let me tell you– its miraculous! It has completely faded my acne scars and I swear that I have less wrinkles around my eyes than other people my age. I have tried everything for my acne– from creams to prescription medication– all to be disappointed, to find something that actually works is incredible! Plus I find it to be so relaxing, you come out feeling completely rejuvenated. Its addicting! Overall, I love this place because the services and products are really top of the line.

Great tanning salon. The employees that work there are courteous and respectful and full of information about lotions and how to tan. It came as a huge help because I knew nothing. The employee there Lisa was really sweet and helped me with every one of my questions and concerns. Great tanning salon! Will be back!

Buyer beware! Contracts are sold to 3rd party, owners hide and won’t return calls. The have teenagers work there and cover for them. They blame the 3 rd party for overcharges and say there is nothing they can do! See letter below! Stay away! Date 12÷3÷2010 Hi Cassidy, Thanks for sending me the contract. It clearly shows I agreed to a 6 month plan and only agreed to 5 payments being authorized to be deducted from my account(nothing more). I find it funny that 22.00 per transaction were actually deducted from my account when I signed and agreed for 20.00. So again all I’m requesting is my 22.00 refund I did NOT authorize for October(and now 10.00 more for over charging for 5 months) and we can end this. Your contract is vague at best when referencing an «open ended agreement», the fact is clearly stated that I agreed to 5 payments(nothing more) and I followed through with my agreement as explained to me by your staff and written in this contract. A 6 month plan is a 6 month plan period! I was charged an additional 30.00 to get a 6 month plan to begin with! Anything else is misleading at best; you need to be VERY clear with your customers and you are NOT! I now understand why others have screamed and yelled at your employees regarding money referencing accounts while I was in your shop, I never understood till now what the rage was about. I was there one day the poor girl(your employee) was being ripped up and down by a pissed off customer and she was in tears because of this same issue! Your ownership team needs to take control of these issues you make and quit sticking these teenagers with your problems as they don’t deserve cover your bad practices. I request the refund of 32.00 within 10 days or I will seek legal action to get my funds returned to me. I will also sue for unauthorized debts to my account, false and misleading business practices. That contract is full of holes! You can’t have it both ways! Darin Miller
