Pair Plumbing and Septic

I have called Pair Plumbing multiple times over two years, sometimes to have them quote major jobs and other times for routine plumbing or maintenance. I have occasionally spoken with a rather rude woman, whom is the only one I can ever get to answer the phone. She answers with, «Hello» and then refuses to identify whether or not I’ve actually even successfully reached Pair Plumbing’s phone. After an interrogation about what my intentions are (to resolve my plumbing problem?) I’ve been told basically that Pair Plumbing wouldn’t have time to come out to my property for several weeks. This has happened multiple times. I find it difficult to believe that this plumbing service is booked out several weeks in advance, but if it is they should just say that upfront instead of making me go through a whole song-​and-​dance with them before they deliver the bad news. If this is their way of determining if this is a «valuable» potential job for them, I find that to be really underhanded also.
This has happened on several occasions. On other occasions, I’ve left a voice mail and simply never received a reply.
I’ve also noticed that Pair Plumbing has a tendency to leave one-​star reviews on competitors profiles across the internet, which is sleazy regardless of the circumstances. A truly first-​class company should not need to trash any competition; especially what it perceives as bad competition. Let your work and their work stand on its own.
I can’t give this company more than three stars because of my rude customer service experiences and because, for whatever reason, these people are really cautious about even identifying themselves. I’ve had no success even getting someone to come give me a quote.
They do have a couple of positive reviews scattered about the internet, so your mileage may vary. I question the legitimacy of those reviews, too. But it is what it is. Good luck.

Pair Plumbing was the fifth company to work on the pipes in our apartment building. Before they came we were having to hire local plumbers as often as twice a week to unclog the lines. Mr. Pair came out to give us an estimate, as we had been told the pipes were sagging and cracked and needed replacing. Instead of measuring for an estimate, they first decided to investigate the problem. Besides the usual equipment, they brought along their amazing new $ 30K Jetter — I wonder if it’s the only one in Central Texas — and their camera scope. After clearing a total blockage about 15′ into the line, they found and removed a sewer head that was left in there from one of the previous plumbers! Next, with their Jetter, they cleaned about a 2″ thick coating of gunk that had accumulated over the years along the entire length of the line. Upon inspecting the now-​clean line, they found no breaks or dips and believe the line is in almost-​new condition. They insist that we keep them informed and updated on how it is working.
Pair Plumbing is knowledgeable, honest, professional. We cannot say enough good about them! There are several local plumbers and others 30 minutes away. Pair Plumbing is an hour from our location, so we must pay their travel time as well as the service call. Believe me, it is worth every penny!
