I had braces for five years – from January 2007 until February 2012 – and my top front teeth are still crooked, and my overbite is still fairly severe. Although my teeth certainly look better than they did pre-​orthodontics, I still cringe a little when I look in the mirror and see my two front teeth at a slight angle. (After five years and four grand, I was really hoping for close-​to-​perfect results.) Some of the staff members at the office were pleasant and helpful, while others would spend the majority of my appointments gossiping with one another instead of making any attempt to relay to me any information about what was happening in my mouth.
One doctor is super sweet and friendly, while the other is rather standoffish – to be quite honest, I never remembered which was Hilton and which was Diminick. After getting my braces off, I missed one follow up appointment and they put me on «inactive» status, meaning I had/​have to pay for any other visits out of pocket. All through high school, my friends raved about Alba, so you might want to check them out before heading to Hilton-​Diminick.
