Came here for a buttday brunch on Sunday. Our server was super nice almost over attentive but even after writing down our order and repeating it back to us, he still got two out of four wrong. Then when he messed up a toast order, took the whole plate back instead of just letting her keep the omelet and bringing the correct toast. Poor girl was left plateless while everyone else had their food and it was the buttday girl! What’s worse, he would refill our hot tea by taking our glasses to the back but when he came back he didn’t know which glasses went to who. I love my friends but yuck! I don’t need to be drinking their hot tea spit! What I swallowed: OMELETTELOUIE: I like my omelette a with the fixins mixed into the actual egg, not like a flap of egg with loose fixings sandwiched in the middle. With that being said, this omelette was the latter and already wasn’t great in my book. The flavors were OK(I’m sure you can mess up an omelet but if that was the case, we probably shouldn’t be eating here) and the side of rosemary potatoes sounded better then they tasted. The food wasn’t bad, everything was«just OK», dare I even say the same type of quality and flavors I could find at my local Denny’s at half the price. Not going back.

I came to Campbell Café last weekend for brunch. I had the zucchini omelette with rosemary potatoes and fruit. The potatoes were very yummy, but the omelette not so much. As my bf said, ‘the food tastes like they have a cook, not a chef.’ While the food was so-so, the service was AMAZING! We had multiple visits from the manger and our server inquiring about our meal and topping off the coffee. It was service like I’ve never seen elsewhere(def 5 stars!).

The full blown Italian anniversary feast I had here a few years back was really good! The desserts and coffee drinks excellenta! Dark romantic and small, just how i like restaurants for late dinner. Did I see right tonight driving by that a Vietnamese Ppho soup place is there? or was I just dreaming!

Came here for lunch with my dad today. Been here a few times before, but this is my first reveiw here. The staff are all great. Harrison(our waiter today) was great asking if we needed anything and checking on us frequently. The food was great. I wasn’t that hungry and got the Pollo Panini with pesto and provolone. The chicken was breaded and fried, like a cutlet. Still tender and juicy topped with a tasty pesto sauce on homemade ciabatta bread. My dad went for the Arrancini di Riso. For those of you who don’t know what that is, they are they are fried rice balls with meat, peas and cheese. They look like large meatballs and are crispy, crunchy and really tasty. Every bite has rice, cheese, peas and beef. The food is always excellent and the service has always been great. I highly recommend this place. t

Food was great, service was perfect, and the relaxing and cozy atmosphere inside is a nice change compared to the other loud restaurants in Campbell. Our waiter even brought out two desserts on the house for my family for no reason. Definitely coming back again. Recommendation: Make sure you get the gorgonzola polenta!

After walking out of the disastrous episode at Blue Line, I’m glad we found Café Campbell. The service was great and the food was good. We were seated immediately(no wait!!). Steamed mussels appetizer — this was one of the better marinara sauce I’ve tasted. And the mussels were fresh and sweet. Coupled with the complimentary bread to soak up all the sauce — it was yummy goodness. Gnocchi with 4 cheeses — I’ve never experienced gnocchi like this. The gnocchi was so soft, like pillows of heaven. Unlike alot of others I’ve had where it is always too dense and thick to the bite. Prices are competitive to the neighbourhood. But we really enjoyed the good service, the laid back café environment and yummy food. Definitely a place on my list to return to!

I went in last night to have dinner. I love the new look and the new menu additions. I had the chicken eggplant and my friend had the filet. The were both presented nicely and tasted great. I highly recommend you check this place out.

What a disappointment. Been coming here for years and supporting business regardless if they’re busy or slow. Tonight will be my last time. Took my family here for dinner. Greek salad was overly salty, tilapia was tasteless, bread was old and hard, paella was watery. Decent seafood pasta and jambalaya. Normally, this wouldn’t stop us from coming back. Here’s what was most upsetting: When the waitress delivered the paella, she tipped the hot liquid from the boiling pan all over my 4-year nephew. She didn’t even noticed until the burn on my nephew’s bare leg and foot caused him to cry. Poor guy. It hurt me to see him in pain. Wish I was in his place. He was a champ though and stopped crying quickly although I can see the red welts forming on his skin. The manager brought ice and apologized. That’s it. Not even an offer of some ice cream for the kid. Charged us the full meal and moved on with their lives. So sad. Hardly any compassion or proper business etiquette. We’ll take our business and protection of our little ones elsewhere from now on.

Before a night out on the town it might be a good idea to take down some pasta! So if you’re about to engage in nocturnal shenanigans in DT Campbell, you should probably do so on a full stomach. And what’s more filling than some bomb Italian? Now I’m not going to say this is the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. By no means. BUT I was beyond pleasantly surprised! I ordered the lasagna. It was actually REALLY good! Great pasta, great sauce, great everything! Also no ricotta cheese, which for me is a huge plus. My friend got the seafood pasta which she said was too watery. But she’s picky. And I don’t trust anything she says.(I really blow a lot of my friends out on Unilocal…) The service was pretty quick and nice. We sat outdoors which was nice on a beautiful night. No complaints at all, and I’m sure to be back!

Finally knocked off this bookmark. After a strenuous run nearby, I was ready to eat but not bread from Manresa or cupcakes from Frost this time but something light and healthy. I’ve been struggling w/my «diet» forever and it’s only because I eat a lot more than what my body allows so after some coaching Saturday morning(thank you, BTW and for the coffee), I was ready to recharge my mentality and reset my approach. Excited to see«taco salad» on the menu, I was completely oblivious to its description. I was expecting a tortilla bowl, sour cream, shredded lettuce, black beans, Monterey Jack cheese, black olives, guacamole, and pico de gallo but no… it was just romaine lettuce, some sort of Cesear-like dressing, and 2 crispy tortillas underneath. In a way I was disappointed because I love the [unhealthy] taco salad but also glad that it was the complete opposite so that it would be on par w/my new lifestyle. Service was awesome and I appreciate the water being refilled almost instantly. It was scorching yesterday and especially after a 4 mile run and a 2 mile walk, I wanted nothing more than to jump in a pool of iced water. Speed can definitely improve though… «I saw the salad picture and was proud of you» was the result.

My husband came here when it first moved to town & he was trying to relive an italian vacation. We tried it for breakfast the first time this morning. We had the Frittata & a breakfast special with lots of meat & beans. Food was tasty, price was decent. Coffee was refilled multiple time, & came in cute cups & saucer. Seating was outside right on the corner facing Campbell Ave. Our wait staff was very friendly & provided great service.

Four waitstaff, a host, a bartender, and a manager. 24 minutes to get coffee. And it wasn’t just our table. That’s a huge fail. Update: Seems they heard the message and either hired more wait staff or something. The timing has improved. The food would be(maybe really) good had it not been cold due to delays. It wasn’t a place to take an active child. Kinda out, too, for her noise sensitivity, and mine.

Nothing breathtaking. We came here because the wait for Stacks was ridiculous and I wanted to get out of the crazy crowd for the Farmers Market. The french toast was good, nothing spectacular. I guess you can’t really mess that up though. Four decent sized slices of french toast and two pieces of bacon. Boy do I love bacon. I honestly wish they were more generous with it. The chef’s omelette was good too. I liked the combination of feta and avocado. The egg was fluffy but not so light that it was flavorless. The restaurant seems a bit confused as what its trying to be. It has a bar… and then it has an gelato store… and then it has the restaurant. A little confusing.

Husband: Why, because we like you… Not. It smelled like Pooh Corner from our table … They kept the hot side cold and the cold side hot, and our waiter fell asleep standing up. Bread was cold and tasted like big toes. Went over to La Pizzaria, and asked our boy, Stephano, for directions to the back door b/c they were packed… Then we went to Liquid Bread for a beer and a pickle. They asked us if we «have reservations». Really, this is Campbell. So we are back at Blue Line for the 3rd time in 10 days… They are so nice here(btw. Great Pizza). Thank you Ballast Point. Love your Sculpin! Wife: It would be great if the food was served hot(even warm), the waitstaff had knowledge of what they were serving, «Well I don’t really eat here that much,» and we didn’t get gassed by the bathroom stink while sitting at our table.

I love this little restaurant! Even though the name says«café», it strikes me more as a nice romantic restaurant. The owner is especially friendly, making sure everyone in your party is completely happy. I’ve been here twice so far, and that has been the case each time. There’s outdoor patio seating for nice days/nights, and bar seating when you are waiting for a table to clear out. If you just want a scoop of gelato, this is your place as well. just stop in for a quick scoop and be on your merry way. I got the halibut special, which was so good! If you are two women, I suggest sharing an entrée. We also ordered the bruschetta, which was a combination of 3 different spreads totaling 12 pieces altogether. perfect for a group of of 4.

My daughter and I hit the Farmer’s Market yesterday and stopped in Café Campbell for breakfast. We were both starving. Cute place and very busy. It took 10 minutes for them to clear a table so we could actually sit.(standing room only). Once we sat, they forgot about us! I kid you not, we waited for 15 minutes before I gave up and flagged down another server to at least bring us waters. We already knew what we wanted so we ordered right away. My daughter got the french toast with bacon and I got the Eggs Florentine. Another 30 minutes later our order finally came out. French toast was okay. The bacon was PERFECT! Think and crisp just the way I like it. The Eggs Florentine was not so great. Holindaise was weird and my spinach was cold. The rosemary potatoes were good but the portion size was itty bitty. I noticed quite a few tables were waiting for long periods of time before their food came out too. Maybe a really bad day in the kitchen? Between the long uncomfortable wait to have them actually clean the table we were waiting for, and the wait for our food, I can’t say we’ll be back. Which is a bummer because the same owners own La Pizza and El Bellagio which are great! Actually La Pizza is one of our favorite date night spots. I think if they can get the service under control and actually have a dedicated bus boy busting tables and not the servers then this place wouldn’t feel so unorganized.

Cute little Euro-inspired café with a great patio for people-watching as you dine :) This is more than just a gelato bar, folks. And I believe under the same ownership as the totally awesome A Bellagio in downtown Campbell(my favorite Italian restaurant in the South Bay!) and yummy La Pizzeria. There’s plenty of elegant cuisine to be had here, so drop by for dinner and sample something from their eclectic dinner menu. I had the special, prime rib, and it was huge! Delicious, perfectly seasoned and very tender. It came with roasted potatoes and seasonal veggies — overall a satisfying dish(that lasted me until the next day’s lunch, too!). You must, MUST order the Burrata appetizer. Just trust me on this. There’s a sign outside that says«We have your favorite Burrata appetizer!» on a chalkboard and there’s a reason why. This is a stellar appetizer both here at Café Campbell and at A Bellagio. Oh, and don’t forget to try the third restaurant under the same owner, La Pizzeria(also within walking distance of Café Campbell). Am I starting to sound like a spokesperson for the owners or what? But seriously, the food speaks for itself and each restaurant is a little different in terms of ambience and menu choices. Try it and report back about your experience :)

I LOVE this place. I’ve been here before in the evening for dinner, but was sooo happy to try their breakfast menu. A friend and I dined here on a recent Saturday morning and enjoyed the little patio outside. It was awesome. I ordered up the eggs benedict and they came with a small side of roasted potatoes. I actually ordered an extra helping of taters as they gave me a really small amount. Overall, SUPER yummy. I think my favorite part were the potatoes. They reminded me of how my mom and grandma cook them. So good. The owner came out mid way through the the meal to see how things were going. Very nice guy. I also love how they are making their own little«Little Italy» in Downtown Campbell with the other two restaurants. It’s been a great addition.

I just love pleasant surprises, especially when it comes to food. Recently wandered into Café Campbell after perusing other restaurants on Campbell Ave. I was in the mood to try something new without breaking the bank. Café Campbell’s posted menu sounded like it fit the bill. My friend accidentally ordered the Pesto Eggplant Rolls. But the waitress was very gracious about it and let us have the appetizer free of charge. Not only did this make us try said dish, but the waitress totally scored brownie points. On top of that, it was absolutely awesome. We went totally ghetto and sopped up the pesto with the dinner rolls. :) I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted for an entrée and asked the waitress for her recommendation. She suggested the Stuffed Pork which turned out to be pork wrapped in bacon. You can’t go wrong with anything wrapped in bacon and I was certainly not disappointed. The pork was tender and the spinach in the middle wasn’t overcooked and mushy. Of course, the bacon part was heavenly! But what made this already great dish even better was the wine sauce. It was subtle and tasty without being overpowering. They put just enough to enhance the pork without detracting from it. I will go out on a limb and say this was the BEST wine sauce I’ve ever had. My friend had the pear salad with an awesome vinaigrette dressing. It was light and refreshing and a perfect compliment to the spinach. My friend and I were joking that the salad bowl seemed to be regenerating because after eating for a half hour, it didn’t seem to make a dent in the amount left in her bowl. Don’t let the little bowl deceive you. It’s a lot of salad. Then we made our way to our fave part of the meal… dessert. I had the Amaretto Crêpe and my friend had the Chocolate Ganache cake. Café Campbell’s dessert menu offers various dishes depending on what you like. Personally, I had a a hard time choosing since everything sounded so good! While I loved our desserts, I’m eager to come back and try all their items… for research, of course :) All in all, I LOVED Café Campbell’s menu(good selection, prices and variety). Quality of food is great. I definitely felt that I got good value for what we paid. None of the main entrees for dinner were over $ 15.00. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. I’ll definitely come back for dinner and especially dessert.
