Salon L

Wendy! I may be bias, but Wendy’s work is fabulous and I love what she does with my hair and with spring just around the corner it’s almost time to lighten up my color and shorten up my length. No matter what I have in mind, Wendy is always on point and usually has suggestions that improve on my ideas. I think Salon L has a fantastic team of stylists and you can’t go wrong with with anyone you book with. A super clean, friendly and upbeat salon!

Found this local salon on Unilocal and they fit me in the same day I called. Lexi was amazing. She did exactly what I asked and nailed it. She made my appointment the perfect combination of spa, relaxing and fun, enjoyable. All the girls in the salon were so nice and welcoming. Being new to the area, I definitely found my go to salon. I almost don’t want to post this because I feel like I’m sharing a really good secret. I’m already looking forward to my next appointment.

I randomly chose Salon L when I moved to Canby because I didn’t want have to drive to Portland for bang trims once a month. Chelsea has been coloring and cutting my hair for the past year now and she is great at both. My color has turned out perfect every time. I am resistant to having my hair cut, but she always manages to snip and layer just enough to make my hair seem fresh when she gives me a trim. She is also very friendly and easy to talk to. If you’re looking to go blond for the summer Chelsea is your girl!

Turn around and run… My husband went in here to get his long (3 years of growing it out) hair trimmed up. He asked Chelsea if she could make his hair look like a photo she showed him with shoulder-​length, curly hair, and she said «of course!». He made sure that she would keep it long enough to pull back for work… she then proceeded to cut a large section of hair in the front about 6 inches above shoulder length! (He realized she was cutting it too short, but there was definitely no going back now, and was embarrassed, so he stayed silent)… She offered to him that if he needed any layering done later, after it dried, that she could do that… He said it look «ok» immediately after when it was wet, but then when I came to pick him up and it was dry, it was far too short (ear– length, and straight like a bob), nothing like the photo, and he frankly, looked a little silly… He cannot pull it back whatsoever. I immediately called her and explained to her that it was not at all what we had in mind, that we were unhappy, and asked if there was anything she could do to fix it… she said that she could try to help next day… THEN this morning, she texted me at 7am (which I do not think is very professional at all in the first place), that she decided she didn’t want to fix it, and «there’s nothing I can do to help»… We paid her $ 30 (most expensive haircut anyone in our family has ever gotten), for the worst haircut ever. and now we have to find someone else that knows what they are doing to fix her mistake. It is going to take years for him to grow it back to the length he wanted it to be cut. disappointing.
–You would think that a professional hairstylist would understand that hair shrinks shorter when it dries, and also be able to look at a photo, and understand the basic length a person is looking for… I could have done better myself.
Needless to say, will not be coming back here.

Ruthie is Amazing!!! She knows her color & cuts! She’s attentive & kind sweet hearted woman! Her clients leaves as friends! I’ve witnessed a woman come in crying because another salon made her feel terrible and she left feeling pretty & hugging Ruthie! The whole Salon is friendly, casual but professional, accommodating, fun!

Raechelle did my hair (and make-​up) for a boudoir shot and it was nothing short of amazing. My hair is very stubborn and in over 10 years, I have not had a stylist who’s been able to get it to hold a curl, but this chick? Ain’t no thang! My curls turned out beautiful and lasted all day, AND night! Purely awesome.

I just moved to Oregon in November and I was apprehensive about finding a hair salon. I was use to paying 200+ for color and haircut but did it because I wanted a great finish.
I found this place on Unilocal and being so close I figured why not? I called on a Saturday for a last minute appointment and to my surprise they called in one of the girls so they could fit me in. Never had that happen before.
Ruthie was my hair dresser and I was in love with her! She was so sweet and funny, plus she went out of her way to come to work for me. She made sure we went over everything of what I wanted and what she would recommend. We spent a good 15 minutes on the consultation to just be sure. When she was finished the cut and color I was in total disbelief. It looked amazing! She kept asking if it was good or needed any changes and I said no. I couldn’t be happier. Then when the price came I was in shock again. Great prices, great atmosphere, awesome people, and wonderful service. I have nothing bad to say about this gem. I will not go anywhere else for my hair, even if they raised the prices I’d still come here.

I have been seeing Joy for probably 14 + years and as long as she is cutting hair, she will always have me as a client. I had my first appointment with her at the new Salon L location yesterday and I absolutely love it there. It’s small and quaint, but big enough to know it’s a solid business without the uppity feeling when you walk in. I definitely think it’s a winning location with a bunch of great stylists.

Salon L had me comfortable and relaxed the moment I walked through the doors. It’s a laid back salon that makes you feel welcome and like you belong! I have been seeing Joy for years and highly recommend her! I have never had a stylist that works well with my curly hair before and Joy is a natural!

I have been seeing Lizzy for just over a year now. She is great. During that time I have had the chance to follow her as she has been able to open her own salon! She is honest, hard working and very personable. She always asks how my life is going and what different things are going on in my life. Lizzy is great at listening to what I want and and then making it happen! I highly recommend Lizzy and her new salon.

Very welcoming low key salon. No snobby stylists here. Lizzy did an awesome cut for me. They are new kids on the block, but give them a chance. You won’t be dissapointed.
